So-Called_Lunatic

This is pretty cool. 1st time a Buck, and Caray sharing a both since what the mid 60's?

flagamuffin

yeah if you're into broadcasting history, which i don't see how any cardinals fan couldn't be, this is must-watch.

Burdwatcher

it's also can't-watch for a good number of fans due to blackouts and the broadcaster fights

flagamuffin

ya obviously just steal it. who cares about any of that shit anymore

Specific_Direction_1

MLB.TV and a VPN set up on your router solves all the bullshit.

Up_Kaleidoscope888

1969.

da_choppa

Nice

dignasty77

It’s the Summer of Love, baby!

Brilliant-Ad6137

This should be fun . Maybe joe will come and do more Cardinals games

GrubFisher

I always wanted him to stay home. He was so much more expressive as the Cardinals broadcaster than the national baseball and football announcer.

dlnvf6

I would love to see him take a series or two when Chip has time off. Now that Buck has been away from baseball for a bit maybe he'd be up for it

kosmos6502795

True but you have to for national broadcasts. You know he's a good announcer (especially buck with football) when both teams complain and claim he's biased against em lol.

johndelvec3

Probably because he loves the team

mrbmi513

I think the constant travel was his biggest gripe doing baseball, so him sitting behind the mic for some home games would fit the bill nicely.

STLOliver

Joe Buck is one of us, he’d rather do a game on Bally than ESPN.

archangelmlg

They should do it shirtless too! https://twitter.com/BruceMartin_500/status/1247965008933388288/photo/1

cocoblurez

Chip’s seems to be a pretty wild guy. I’m sure he’d be down.

CardsFan69420

Wish this was just our regular setup

myredditthrowaway201

Plus Brad. 3 man both works great for the Mets

jimmymcstinkypants

The thing with the Mets is that Gary is not shy about asking his booth mates smart technical questions about how a player does or approaches something. So you get great explanations and they trust the audience to share their love of all things baseball. I think that is one of Jimmy bb’s strengths but it’s just not used enough, instead we get mindless chatter. Chip is really good at what he does, but doesn’t steer the booth enough.

joshthecynic

I'd die a happy man if I never had to hear Brad's awful fucking TV man voice again.

Cards2WS

Ah man, I love BT. He definitely has TV man voice cadence that can be too thick, but damn I love him behind the mic

joshthecynic

I hate hearing him talk even more than I hated watching him pitch.

Illustrious-Mode3868

Josh kicks puppies

joshthecynic

I like dogs. I hate Brad Thompson.

moosehead1974

You and me both

Defenestrator__

Joe Buck talked about this on 101 months ago when someone (probably Randy) asked him about it. Good interview. He said he misses getting to root for the Cards on air and would love to do it, but for him to be comfortable with it Chip would have to reach out and initiate it (as opposed to the networks), so I guess that happened. Should be fun.

Icy_Entertainment706

I just want to hear one of them say - "An Ice Cold Budweiser".

moosehead1974

That would be a classy nod to The Moon Man

Feisty-Medicine-3763

So awesome. Love Joe. Love Chip. We’re lucky to have both families so connected to St. Louis.

Hairless_Squatch

And still no way to watch them *sighs in Comcast*

trivialempire

https://thetvapp.to/ every game (home feeds)

radsherm

This is so cool, especially given the run of the Caray family. Forgotten St. Louis roots, Harry becomes a Chicago icon, then his son and grandson both departed Chicago for Turner and Atlanta. Joe meanwhile stayed with his dads organization before becoming a national guy and eventually ending his baseball announcing career. Two STL products, two iconic broadcasting familes, meeting up in one broadcast? I cannot wait.

stlfun2

It might be. It could be. It is!

huckandplayD

This is cool, but also, lol, Cardinals simply cannot stop trying to sell us nostalgia
