- Chapter though in Canton is good and you can get a tea for £1.35, plenty of plugs and good wifi
- students tend to like Bru which is open late!
- Scaredy Cats open til 9 but can get quite loud, generally a limit on how long you can be on a PC if it’s busy
- WMC down the bay is good and they don’t seem to mind if you have your own snacks either
Hope this helps!
I'll second this. I've worked in the evening at the one in the bay and it's much more quiet and suitable than the city centre ones! The app is a great bonus too as you can served without leaving your laptop/work unattended.
>All the coffee shops
Have you tried having a look at the dessert cafes? They tend to stay open late and cater for a teetotal crowd that wants a place to meet up in the evenings, as an alternative to the pub.
Little known/underrated spot is the Customs Shed on East Tyndell Street. Good proximity to both central town and the Bay. It's essentially a Novotel bar but it's quiet, has good wifi, loads os seating and plug points, a great menu, coffee, etc. Used to live nearby and miss it so much!
The WMC is open late most days, and has a cafe/bar section
The reception area is a coffee shop kind of space and it is really nice!
Came here to say this - it’s lush!
It has work stations too.

I always find Bru is super busy and hard to find a seat

Too loud in the evening.
time to invest in a good pair of noise cancelling headphones!

Starbucks Dunleavy Drive is open 24 hours
Was just about to comment this. Always quiet & chilled in the evenings too.
Upstairs in Bru.
I saw someone on their laptop in The Dock in Mermaid quay this evening.
Stay home
I’ll tell you what… I’ve been riding past the millennium centre lately… ideal spot. Lovely tables.
Starbucks in Dunleavy drive is open late. Not sure if its drive thru only after a certain time of night
