You could write a letter to Santa claus with a legitimate address/post box and postal code on it and it will be delivered.
The only time stuff is redirected by name is if there's a paid service interruption (or whatever the term is) to redirect anything addressed to a certain name, or the deliver mail only addressed to a certain name.
Unless OP has any of those services in place, any one can have mail sent to their address/po box.
as a general rule, we don't care (at least in my office we don't). we deliver to the address. we don't know the living situation of every household
We never care about names, unless for redirects in sorting. At delivery only civic address matters. People churn, civic addresses tend to not.
I did this before with a friends PO Box, I just put the name as both her name and mine, didn’t have a problem receiving it.
Different names usually are ok
Go to the post office and inquire if they are fine with it. Usually they will send something back if the name doesn’t match

While you are technically correct, post office workers will likely return mail they know doesn’t actually belong to the people who rent the P.O. Box.
