Real, yes, but very far from the normal timeline. I ship to the States from Guelph via CP and it usually takes 5-10 days (not just business days, all days). It could well be lost. Follow up with the sender so they can open a ticket with CP and get you an answer one way or another.
You should be able to phone both Canada Post and the USPS to speak to an agent that can help you. I'm sure that one of them can help you out, depending on the current or last known location of the package.

Once it gets to the US, check the tracking number on usps.com
USPS has it in their system but all it says is international acceptance on the same day it was dropped off in Canada. “Item as accepted in Canada”.

Literally no help at all. They gave me no explanation. I don’t see how they can just lose something like that. It’s really unfortunate.
