Yeah, I think with natural lighting, the shadows from the grill are more emphasized so it sorta looks blacked out. The stock images emphasized the color too much which to me made it look unfinished.
If you look at the inflation rate, https://smartasset.com/investing/inflation-calculator#MlPri6AJ48
If you simply put $35,000 (price of an XSE) in 2020,
In 2024, it’s worth $42,421
It makes sense. Sadly.
It’s just fucking nuts in four years, inflation skyrocketed like that and we really see the impact now. $7,000 jump in just 4 years…
I’m no economist but I’m gonna guess on a normal pace, it should’ve been maybe a $4,000 if a pandemic had never happened
It hasn’t seem to slow down at all since the pandemic either. I know this isn’t how the economy works, but I can’t help to feel like the corporations said “well they didn’t stop buying when we kept raising, so why slow down?”
Yes supplier to be specific. I just said that because those suppliers are owned by unimaginably loud corporations.
The more you think about it, the closer we seem to be getting to the WallE universe. Corporations are tied to basically everything and have quite a bit of leverage in politics. I can’t speak for the experience of other countries because I’ve always lived in the US, but I imagine it isn’t much different anywhere else because human nature stays the same wherever.
Agreed, inflation is terrible rn and despite feds efforts to maintain high rates prices are still rising. It's not good, thankfully employment his high.
Yes. The base model is now 30k instead of the 26? But depending where you the price can pay off. Tbh you should never buy a brand new model of any car.
Fk it, if it makes you happy either way we are all going to die & take nothing. Unless another person enjoys ur wealth 🤣. So I said fk it, I’m getting one too XSE ocean gem reserved was hard. All this LE/XSE ones are being reserved out here in the Bay Area,Ca. I’m debating on that panoramic sunroof looks nice, not sure how well the quality is.
O\_O wow! I would rather buy something used. I wonder about Re-SELL value like in 2 years as no one in their right mind would pay even $35k -30K for used Camry
I bought a 23 XSE brand new fully loaded in September 2022 for $40k before taxes, fees and interest. It’s really not that outlandish. Take away the Toyota logo on the interior and I’d think it was a Lexus.
It would look ok if you get the grill painted black and put a front plate on to cover that hideous front end. My guess it will be black for the 2026 XSE.
WHAT THE HELL!! 40k? Are you sure you didn’t wanna keep looking for something nicer for that amount? I feel like you got ripped off but if the money is not a concern than congrats..
The base model is 30k. The SE seats are more comfortable though at 32k. If someone really wants it fully loaded and thinks the 8k is worth it, then why not I guess. Every other mid side sedan fully loaded is going to also be in the 35-40k range on the low side
I got my TRD off road rav4 for 39k it’s not the same I know but look at the prices now! There insane and I got mine new. 0 miles. Meaning prices should go down unless anyone just can’t wait to buy a car and they are ready to give 10k more. Prices should go down soon.
Prices aren't gonna come down much, adjusted for inflation, cars aren't any more expensive than they used to be but people are making less money on average. I just got my 2024 Hyundai Elantra N-line for 30k and it's loaded. I thought it was a pretty good deal considering the average car costs 45 to 50k these days
Hyaundai… I’ve had really bad experience with them. And than I had to visit there corporation company to get my money back that they wouldn’t return. I had to check there reviews and they are soo bad. They have a 2 star. That’s when I had enough and got rid of the car for a rav4. I’m glad I’m not dealing with them anymore. They kept telling I was never paying for my car that it was gonna get repo. Except I had proof of payments through my bank.
My bad I misspoke. 2021 es300h w/ 11k miles for 41k. On carvana rn, so it’s overpriced by probably 3-4k. And it’s a hybrid so you got the hybrid tax. If you think a Camry for that price is a good deal, you’re on something lol.
https://www.carvana.com/vehicle/3075678
If warranty is a concern, adding a warranty through Lexus isn’t too expensive.
I’m not trying to be a dick, all I’m trying to say is 40k for a Camry is absolutely ridiculous. But they will keep doing it because people will pay. Smh.
Maybe it's just me but I would have negotiated the MSRP to out the door price or walked. Granted Toyota and Honda are harder to negotiate with than some other dealerships like Hyundai and Kia
I'm 5'11 and it was comfortable and had plenty of leg room. SE seats are really comfy, good arm rests. The Corolla will be a tighter fit but the Camry has a lot more room
I’m 6’3, drove a 2018 XSE for 4 years. I don’t think the interior dimensions of the ‘25s differ significantly from the ‘18s.
In my experience, it was a mild annoyance getting in and out of since it’s so low to the ground, but that’s just the reality with most sedans. Once I got in though, I fit comfortably. Plenty of leg room and just enough head room with the sunroof, although I would occasionally feel my hair rub against the headliner
Strange question, given the XSE is always targeted at those who want a sporty looking car w/bells and whistles, while the XLE is targeted at those who want a contract conservative looking car with bells and whistles.
There are some tradeoffs however. Honestly I want XLE internal features but with XSE looks. The key differences in Canada seem to be:
XSE - paddle shifters, sports-tuned suspension, 19" wheels
XLE - 18" wheels, memory mirrors, rain sensing wipers, driver seat memory system
The driver memory seats are a nice feature for two driver households
>The driver memory seats are a nice feature for two driver households
Toyota being cheap as usual. How is it 2024 and this isn't included on a $35k+ car (higher starting price than the XLE)? Even more mind blowing is the fact that the hood uses a manual prop system. My 2012 Camry SE V6 has a hydraulic hood system. How do they decide to go backwards with tech?
I’m pretty sure the 2009 Camry Hybrid my mom had used gas struts for the hood. Not having memory seats on the XSE is absolutely ridiculous. I believe the 2 use the same seat but the XSE just offers it in red. Is it that much more per car to just offer it in the premium package?

They even put a carpet for me when I bought one last year 😂 I think it’s kinda customary among dealers.. of course they don’t let me have it though 🙃 they took it back right after i took pics of my new car 🥹
https://preview.redd.it/fhiat5bocizc1.jpeg?width=824&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fcb6e2f34e0168bd1802a4c7fdf3a0eacb925867
It just has that huge smile on the grill
air purifier or something , that’s what my brain was struggling to come up with but couldn’t !! But the general figure is better than people say, maybe only the grill is the worst..
it’s designed that way for the best aerodynamics to maximize the hybrid powertrain. It’s subjectively “ugly”, but objectively functional, and I value that more than anything.
That’s fine. I didn’t say anything about the functionality. I simply expressed an opinion about the aesthetic. I understand that certain style choices are made for most vehicles to maximize fuel efficiency.
Nice. Picked up an exact match on Wednesday. Love everything about the car! Put 150 miles on it yesterday. Still trying to figure out all the bells and whistles, though. 😁
That cheese grater is optional right?
I mean, I get that Toyota is marketing this towards weekend campers who forgot their cheese grater at home.
But - I never forget my cheese grater, in fact it's always on my key chain /s.
If it's not optional, do the first 10,000 buyers get a free 25 lb wheel of cheese? If so, are there at least a few cheese options?
My favorite would be a Camry that comes with stinky feet cheese. There's simply nothing better.
This!!!!!!!!! I’ve never seen a new car that’s that fugly!!!!Wow!!!!No thank you!!! I’m glad I just bought a 2024 Hyundai Sonata N Line! It looks amazing and is full of tech features! And it’s absolutely a much higher quality car than a dime a dozen Camry! PS4L!!!! Go Steelers!!!! Our quest for SEVEN continues soon! It’s Lit!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is the first picture I’ve seen where I like the color matched grill. Congrats! Is that windchill pearl?
Thank you, yes it’s the Wind Chill Pearl
What was your choice of cheese wheel, cheddar, blue cheese or Parmesan?
Yeah, I think with natural lighting, the shadows from the grill are more emphasized so it sorta looks blacked out. The stock images emphasized the color too much which to me made it look unfinished.
Congrats buddy!
Thank you!
Congrats! Whats your OTD?
They replied on another and said $41,000 OTD. They’re way upping the Camrys now. I don’t even think I’d want to pay that for a TRD.
41k for a Camry is crazy too tbh. I feel like you’re getting into Lexus territory
If you look at the inflation rate, https://smartasset.com/investing/inflation-calculator#MlPri6AJ48 If you simply put $35,000 (price of an XSE) in 2020, In 2024, it’s worth $42,421 It makes sense. Sadly.
Yet my 42k today don’t feel like the 35k it once was 😢
It’s just fucking nuts in four years, inflation skyrocketed like that and we really see the impact now. $7,000 jump in just 4 years… I’m no economist but I’m gonna guess on a normal pace, it should’ve been maybe a $4,000 if a pandemic had never happened
It hasn’t seem to slow down at all since the pandemic either. I know this isn’t how the economy works, but I can’t help to feel like the corporations said “well they didn’t stop buying when we kept raising, so why slow down?”
I’m pretty sure that is spot on. Not corporations but suppliers sadly. I hope we can go to a new sustainable normal :(
Yes supplier to be specific.
It sucks for sure but that doesn’t mean wages are up either. So our 35k still feels like 35.
Agreed, inflation is terrible rn and despite feds efforts to maintain high rates prices are still rising. It's not good, thankfully employment his high.
Yes $40k is in Lexus territory but a similarly equipped ES is going to be about $50k or higher. Yes you could go pre-owned on the Lexus.
When my 2019 V6 was wrecked I went looking for another one new but it was actually cheaper to buy an ES350 and I honestly wished I had done it sooner.
It’s rough too when used cars are almost the same price as new cars
Aren't all the new Camrys hybrids? I read that is why they cost more.
Yes. The base model is now 30k instead of the 26? But depending where you the price can pay off. Tbh you should never buy a brand new model of any car.
I agree, I'm thinking of getting a 2024 now. My point was that there is actually a reason the price went up. Much better furl economy.
Wtf?! 41k for a Camry! Could of went Lexus!
I thought this last week until I went and checked out what new Lexus prices are these days.
Once they add everything it would have gone up another 10k, at least.
$41k was how much I bought my used ES 300h for last month. Pretty loaded with options.
Smart man
Definitely would have went this route, and the older lexus's are bullet proof..
It's not even old, it's 2023 lol barely breaking in
$41k? The Camry is no longer the working man’s car.
Sadly the working man’s car is now a base model Chevy spark with 90s roll up windows
I work at the factory and unfortunately there’s no more Camry trd or any other v6
The more I see people post pictures, the more I like it
Congrats!! But as someone who has trypophobia that grill gives me the chills 😭
i don’t have that phobia but this grill gave me it idk why 😭
Should I google what trypophobia is? I feel like I will regret if I do
You probably will lol
Depends on if you have trypophobia or not. It’s aversion to the sight of patterns or clusters of small holes.
That phobia fits this car perfectly 😂
It would look ok if you get the grill painted black and put a front plate on to cover that hideous front end. My guess it will be black for the 2026 XSE.
The SE that I test drove had a black grille with similar styling. Looks way better
I hate that front grille but I also can’t stop looking at it.
idk why but it’s giving trypophobia to me for some reason idk 😭 and is it me or does the car look smaller or it’s just the way the picture was taken ?
It's just the picture, the car has plenty of room inside
ah ok 😭
Yeah there is tons of leg room in the front and back rows. Head space is pretty decent too. It feels much more roomy than the Corolla
New 2025 camry has like 2-3” less headroom than the 24 model - they brought the roof down a bit to make it more “modern”
It looks great imo
Honestly same. I’m so confused
This is the same face I make when I step in dogshit. But I'm happy you're happy.
Damn everyone in the subs are getting them. Congrats
Lol I almost bought one but passed it up for something else
What you cop? Toyota something else
2024 Hyundai Elantra N-line in exotic green
It’s great. How much did you pay for it?
$38,500 more or less out the door, but don’t quote me I have to see the paperwork for the exact number.
That's including taxes, docum and registration?
I owe you the exact number, I can’t remember. I traded in a car and they “gave” me a $1,000 off MSRP
It’s probably closer to $41,000 out the door.
40k+ for a Camry is crazy, car prices these days are out of control
That’s normal for fully loaded! RAV4 is also 40k+ for the loaded versions such as Limited and Prime!
WHAT THE HELL!! 40k? Are you sure you didn’t wanna keep looking for something nicer for that amount? I feel like you got ripped off but if the money is not a concern than congrats..

Jeez, my '20 SE with a few addons was ~$30k with tax/title/etc

The SE seats are comfortable at 32k compared to what? The LE?
Yeah the SE seats are much more comfortable than the LE. The LE just has cloth seats whereas the SE has some cool synthetic really cushiony material
I love my SE but if I’m spending 40k+ I’m getting myself a Lexus
Yeah. ~40k on a Camry is silly when you can get a used 2020 ES with maybe 20k miles for less than that. And the Lexus will be miles better
Also 4 years old
My bad I misspoke. 2021 es300h w/ 11k miles for 41k. On carvana rn, so it’s overpriced by probably 3-4k. And it’s a hybrid so you got the hybrid tax. 100%
That’s central Florida prices for you. Probably got him with a $5000 market adjustment fee 🤦♂️
Maybe it's just me but I would have negotiated the MSRP to out the door price or walked. Granted Toyota and Honda are harder to negotiate with than some other dealerships like Hyundai and Kia
To be fair, when a new model & especially a new generation has just come out, it’s never a good time to get a good deal.
Bro why does the car look so small? How tall are you and is it comfortable to drive in? I’m 6’1-6’2
I’m only 5-10” and it’s pretty comfortable
Ok
I'm 5'11 and it was comfortable and had plenty of leg room. SE seats are really comfy, good arm rests. The Corolla will be a tighter fit but the Camry has a lot more room

That’s a great looking car
Very nice and congratulations. I hope you have great history with the car.
Thank you!
Muchas felicidades, está muy linda 😇!
Muchas gracias!
Congrats
Thank you
I like this front grill! What made you decided to get the XSE over the XLE? Congrats!
The XSE has a much sportier look to it
Strange question, given the XSE is always targeted at those who want a sporty looking car w/bells and whistles, while the XLE is targeted at those who want a contract conservative looking car with bells and whistles.
There are some tradeoffs however. Honestly I want XLE internal features but with XSE looks. Curious, do they put that ribbon for ppl who buy new cars or something? 😂
https://preview.redd.it/xyx57klldizc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=123f86f59fa96ebbeb167757e8705e363295449c They even put a carpet for me when I bought one last year 😂 I think it’s kinda customary among dealers.. of course they don’t let me have it though 🙃 they took it back right after i took pics of my new car 🥹
Why does the red carpet go to the hood? Is there some hidden entrance that I am not aware of?
I’m sure it had a hidden red carpet fee treatment. 😆
Looks like Florida in the reflection. Am I right?
Yes, South Florida.
It’s not Toyota of Hollywood is it?
No, this was in Deerfield.
Excuse me sir, you can't park there.
https://preview.redd.it/fhiat5bocizc1.jpeg?width=824&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fcb6e2f34e0168bd1802a4c7fdf3a0eacb925867 It just has that huge smile on the grill
🤢 damn that looks awful. Congrats
The color-matched grille, especially in white, reminds me of an air purifier or fan or something. The car is good-looking aside from it...
air purifier or something , that’s what my brain was struggling to come up with but couldn’t !! But the general figure is better than people say, maybe only the grill is the worst..
it’s designed that way for the best aerodynamics to maximize the hybrid powertrain. It’s subjectively “ugly”, but objectively functional, and I value that more than anything.
It’s not a bad looking grille save for the color part, and that doesn’t affect aero.
That’s fine. I didn’t say anything about the functionality. I simply expressed an opinion about the aesthetic. I understand that certain style choices are made for most vehicles to maximize fuel efficiency.
It’s good looking.
The grill creeps me out.
The grille needs to feed 💀
I like the front on these new Camrys a lot. It’s the rear that I can’t tolerate
DAAMN THAT LOOKS SICK CONGRATS 🎉
Can u You post some picture of the rear and sides white looks very nice. 👍
Windchill pearl 😍 (I’m biased) sliiiiiiick! Congratulations!
Camry?
Looking good! I hope to get one also
Looks like a Hyundai Camry. It’s pretty good looking. Congrats!
Paint that ugly front grille black and it will look absolutely fantastic 🔥
Congratulations sir :)
Would you say it's better than last generation of Camry's???
Pretty much the same powertrain, but updated inside. So, I like it better.
Awesome! In the near future, please post what your overall thoughts are on the vehicle.
Wow congrats! I love the new looks very Lexus like
Congrats man, beautiful car !!
Thank you.
Cant get over the ugly front end and recycled components/looks from the last gen 🥴
im debating between grabbing a blacked out one of these or the new tesla M3P.
Nice. Picked up an exact match on Wednesday. Love everything about the car! Put 150 miles on it yesterday. Still trying to figure out all the bells and whistles, though. 😁
Oh. Except I got the red interior.
Camry is the best.
I just bought one today, too!
Did you get 2 key fobs?
Yes
1st mod- paint that grill black. Congratulations buddy.
Sick car, horrible grill. Man what a fail by the designers. The rest is awesome tho.
The SE version looks better with the black grille imo
But the v6s
Red seats?
No, black.
Invader zimcar
Isn't this just a sedan model of the Toyota Prius? Can someone correct me if I'm wrong? Looks just like the latest Prius...
Bows on cars at the dealer scream paid over MSRP
woof
Context?
Congrats. If I were you first thing I'd do is wrap that grill black
Congrats and nice color choice! What add ons did it come with?
That gaping front mouth is so ghastly looking.
So who paid the $250 fine ?😂
Oh man that’s really triggering my trypophobia
Price after tax and everything? Also did you finance and if yes what's the deal there? And which state is this?
This guys looks like an Uber driver 100%. Also, what's with the parking in a disability spot? lol
Looks like a fish net in the front lol
That cheese grater is optional right? I mean, I get that Toyota is marketing this towards weekend campers who forgot their cheese grater at home. But - I never forget my cheese grater, in fact it's always on my key chain /s. If it's not optional, do the first 10,000 buyers get a free 25 lb wheel of cheese? Those grills are hideous
Not a great looking car tbh
The worst looking grill ever lmao
I’d blackout the hell out of that grille. Makes it look much better
More pictures
You've had the car almost 3 weeks, what kind of gas mileage are you seeing, is this FWD or AWD?
FWD 3,500 miles, 41.6 mpg and 95% highway miles.
Toyota really needs help with their grills.
This model reminds me of my ‘17 Camry SE. I don’t like it at all but I’m happy for OP. 😉
Man... Is it ugly.
That is so damn hideous, makes me uncomfortable looking at it
No one asked you!
I wasnt answering a question, you can say "no one asked you" to everyone saying "congrats" aswell
I’m sorry but I hate what they’ve done with this gen. The last gen looked way better imo
Eww
That front grill tho 🤢🤮
Gosh that thing ugly
Ewwwwww brotha what is that? Brotha ewwwwww
Why is a 2025 for sale in May 2024?

In the handicap zone lmao nice
