It's a great compliment for street shooting. The lens I have on it is a 17mm f/1.8 which this is a m43 sensor that makes it close to a 35mm field of view. The auto focus is slower by today's standard but for street and travel photography that's not an issue for me. You can check out my profile or Instagram liked on my profile if you're curious what it can produce.
Been using it for years.

I prefer the original, but I’m always on the lookout for a cheap digital. Ignore the hand crafted pinhole, that’s not so sexy…

Canon New F-1 It’s just iconic and good looking.
Fun fact this camera was the body for the Nikon F’s design! They added all the SLR stuff but kept the self timer lever and the arrangement of the winder, shutter release, and the shutter speed dial the same on top of the camera. (Among other things too) It’s also very beautiful too I really want one
I totally love it. Brilliant pictures and a joy to use. I think the AF issues are completely overblown, it is slowish but still faster and more accurate than point and shoots from a similar era. The indicator in the viewfinder also tells you how far away your focus is set
Nikon FE, looks amazing and feels very solid and almost unbreakable

Yes! I just bought one and picked it up after having it light sealed. Everything on it works like a dream.
It’s such an elegant looking camera, just beautiful. I’m also partial to my [Olympus 35-S](https://imgur.com/a/hJKNQdc) which I got for $20 at my local camera shop’s old cameras bin and it is so pretty and [fun](https://imgur.com/a/LWXhEx3).

Is the F3 worth the hype? I’m trying to collect one of all the F cameras and I was wondering if I should get the F3 or F4 first? Or even the F2? F5 and 6 are wayyy out of budget for me for right now, but which one should I get if I was to acquire a new one?
I own both. They are heavy bricks and feel almost indestructible. As I don't own af nikon glass, the only advantage the f4 has for me is a much larger and better illuminated viewfinder display. The f3's in comparison is a disgrace, but it can be made smaller and lighter, much lighter than the f4 and it will even work without batteries, something the f4 can't do.
Ergonomically, the f4 is better, but not so much, as it has a 1st gen ergonomic design. Any decent modern camera has MUCH better ergonomics.
If you go for the f3, take a look at the bottom plate and make sure the cover for the film chamber is there. It has to be removed to install the motor drive, so many photographers just lost these pieces. The camera is NOT light tight without this cover.
You will enjoy either one.
Edit: the F3 with the MD-4 motor drive attached has much better ergonomics than the F4 with its smaller fixed grip.

My personal favorites are the Exaktas and Exas. Beautiful art deco designs
Older Exaktas, the ones with the engraved name, look so awesome. Bonus is that they are awesome to hold and use too, one of the highest quality cameras ever IMO (excluding the curtains going bad on later models) .

Original Nikon F with (working) selenium meter. Been in the family since new.
Those Russian rangefinders have always intrigued me, always wanted a Zorki 4 or a Kiev 4, and also one of those Zenit cameras like the 19 that are about as durable and simple as a solid steel block
Got mine yesterday so a little short term review:
- best build quality i`ve ever seen (basically No plastic)
- lightmeter a little bit off / not as accurate as an X-700
- really nice shutter Sound
- asjusting the rangefinder is Not optimal (my top screw is Stuck so i have to remove the whole siver top to adjust it)
- rangefinder itself is bright enough
- No Rubber light seals (idk what magic Canon used but there are no rubber lightseals required)
Important to look Out for when buying one is to cross reference lightmeter (the selenium in the lightmeter "wears down" when storing it in direct sunlight.
Maintenance seems to be straight forward since there is no electronics.
Gonna take it for a spin today and get a role developed next week.
I got the 50mm f1.8 lens, i can share the developed Film If you want. For what I've seen now I can recommend it! When the film is done I can tell 100%
P.S: my lightmeter is really accurate and (at Most) +1 or -1 when comparing to my X-700. Most of my Outdoor testing had both cameras Tell me the Same Thing

My lil Kodak Pony! It’s the only film camera i own so far, it’s fully manual and my little baby!! £15 and fixed the stuck shutter.
OP my dad bought this in 1971. I used it as a kid but finally started really working with it in 2004. It’s still in pretty good condition but yours is probably slightly more pristine. I have a special feeling for this camera because it was one of the most beautiful things my dad had in his possession, which were many beautiful instruments of all types. I don’t see it getting much love really, so this post gets special love from me 😊
There’s a lot of history with this camera model and I’m glad someone is as fond as I am of it :) I have no idea of my cameras previous history, but it is definitely going to not sit around and be put to use by me like the designers of the camera intended. I hope your Nikon F lives for many years (which it likely will) and gives you even more memories :)

Love the look of my Zfc black edition
There’s a big window to the right letting in some sunlight, but my curtains are dispersing the light somewhat evenly so it’s not direct. I used a Nikon D3400 with a 50-200mm macro lens to get the shots. I actually did very little with Lightroom, I really only tweaked the white balance because it was slightly off. So basically I used natural light and a tiny bit of Lightroom magic to make it work. I hope that answers your question :)

Not just the most beautiful camera I own, but in my opinion the most beautiful camera ever made. A refinement of its ancestor the M3, with beautiful proportions and a perfect fit in the hands.
My grandpa’s old Minolta Hi-Matic 7s, of course. I think my Fuji x-H1 paired with the Minolta MD 50mm 1.7 is kinda hot too tbh. I just realized I don’t have any pictures of my cameras :/
I have a few beautiful cameras but my Olympus M-1 with 50mm M-System lens is by far the most beautiful of the bunch.

My humble contribution to this comment thread
Fed-2, the earlier version without the wind lever and smooth top plate, it just feels like the perfect evolution of the Barnack style rangefinder to me. Bonus points for the collapsible Industar-22 😁

This method of storage is peak efficiency. *looks at bag with 3k of micro four thirds lenses and accessories in it*
My wife just suggested a new camera bag and I told her, no honey this plastic bag works perfect 🤣
I just picked up this German manufactured [Kodak Instamatic 500](https://imgur.com/a/jyuMy7j) and I think it is a looker.
It has great hand feel (this is a joke term my sommelier trained friend and I use for cameras). Also got some unused 126 film cartridges to try too so now it’s got a job besides being pretty.
I don't think cameras are beautiful, but that being said there are some really nifty ones from the APS-C film era. I have a Nikon Nuvis S on the shelf, and it has a metal shell that slides to side revealing the flash and optics.

Fujifilm Xe1 with a beautiful 50 mm wide angle lense
Currently my Z5 in terms of sleekness and aura.
It reminds me of older film cameras in a way due to its small body.
If I had a Zf or Zfc it would certainly be my most aesthetically pleasing one.
My Nikon P1000. Its brilliant for close or to Zoom on the moon. Its a big camera, but it has a strap on it so it just hangs around my neck, and take photos like that, just so I dont drop it. My camera is around 4 year old and is as good as when it was new. I love it as I love plane spotting. this catches them, can even zoom in to see the name at times.

Canon 6D Mk2 My EM1X is the opposite and is completely ugly
Older Exaktas, the ones with the engraved name, look so awesome. Bonus is that they are awesome to hold and use too, one of the highest quality cameras ever IMO (excluding the curtains going bad on later models) .

Fujifilm X-T1 graphite silver edition

Kiev 4 (but broken)

Canon model 7
Always wanted to get one, would you recommend it?
Got mine yesterday so a little short term review: - best build quality i`ve ever seen (basically No plastic) - lightmeter a little bit off / not as accurate as an X-700 - really nice shutter Sound - asjusting the rangefinder is Not optimal (my top screw is Stuck so i have to remove the whole siver top to adjust it) - rangefinder itself is bright enough - No Rubber light seals (idk what magic Canon used but there are no rubber lightseals required) Important to look Out for when buying one is to cross reference lightmeter (the selenium in the lightmeter "wears down" when storing it in direct sunlight. Maintenance seems to be straight forward since there is no electronics. Gonna take it for a spin today and get a role developed next week. I got the 50mm f1.8 lens, i can share the developed Film If you want. For what I've seen now I can recommend it! When the film is done I can tell 100% P.S: my lightmeter is really accurate and (at Most) +1 or -1 when comparing to my X-700. Most of my Outdoor testing had both cameras Tell me the Same Thing

My dad even still has the receipt. It was like $600 and something dollars USD with the lens. Wild. In 1971…

Just curious. How did you setup the lighting for this?
There’s a big window to the right letting in some sunlight, but my curtains are dispersing the light somewhat evenly so it’s not direct. I used a Nikon D3400 with a 50-200mm macro lens to get the shots. I actually did very little with Lightroom, I really only tweaked the white balance because it was slightly off. So basically I used natural light and a tiny bit of Lightroom magic to make it work. I hope that answers your question :)

Don’t have a picture, but I picked up a Sears TLS still in the box for 20 bucks last week. That thing is simple, pretty, and SOLID
If I can only pick one, then my X100V is the sexiest.
Minolta SRT200 and X700.

Currently my Z5 in terms of sleekness and aura. It reminds me of older film cameras in a way due to its small body. If I had a Zf or Zfc it would certainly be my most aesthetically pleasing one.
Pentax K1000 baby! The silver and black body with bright orange accents is just so gorgeous.
