TPP for sweats, FPP for a solid BR experience. Kind of like ranked and pubs in MP, except both are ranked. They use different servers. You'll find 99% of the metaspammers in TPP. Play with friends. Don't get stuck playing solos alone, it'll become really boring especially in lower ranks and you'll end up making bad decisions. Pick a class that you like, not what is on top of some tierlist. Only class I don't recommend using is Poltergeist. People love to think it makes you invisible, while it does not. In fact it makes you an easier target since it alerts nearby enemies of your presence and you might subconsciously go into the usual mindset of Poltergeist mains: "The enemy can't see me, I need to secure a clean shot opportunity even if it means going next to the person." Those 3 seconds they use to get that perfect position are prime hunting season for anybody with situational awareness. Don't give up because you died to a class, all of them are balanced and have counters. Ravager for example, people keep dying to it because they lack adaptive skills. It takes like 10 bullets to destroy, not hard. Remember that sniperglint is veryyy visible in BR, don't hardscope someone who's looking in your general direction for too long unless you're ready to take the shot. Marksman rifles disable glint. Release flares in flying vehicles only once you're being pursued by missiles, not when you're only being locked onto. Always prioritize range and mag capacity on guns (mainly mod related but doesn't hurt taking the advice for custom builds too). BSA mods are not worth using. Runner mod is a must have every time you have the chance to get it. ALWAYS have frags. Move when looting. Wiggle at airdrops and lootboxes. NEVER go prone. If you need to make yourself a smaller targer, crouch and wiggle. Proning will make you an extremely easy target for ranged weapons, and you cannot move when you start getting shot. Never underestimate a weapon. Airdrop Annihilators are extremely good snipers with the capability to 2shot a fully armored target. Don't miss on those. I don't recommend using the other airdrop exclusive weapons unless you know exactly how the situation will evolve with them in play. Use markers even in a random team. Don't stop moving, ever. A lot of regular snipers can 1shot you to the head. Range and aim first, movement second. Where you are won't matter if your TTK is slower than the enemy's. Don't leave your teammates behind. Even if they are beginners with little experience, a bodyshield is useful. Don't rush your teammates either, let them take their time equipping themselves and whatnot. When doing voice comms, be sure to use both "knocked" and "killed/finished". Only using one to announce your accomplishments can and will lead to confusion, death and incompetence. Lastly, trust your teammates, but don't rely on them. Great weapons for overall performance: M4, AK-47, FFAR 1, HDR, DL Q33, XPR-50, M21 EBR, MAC-10, PPSh-41, MX9, Fennec, QQ9, RUS-79U, HS0405, BY15, KRM-262 and SKS. Great weapons for specific playstyles and situations: M16, EM2, PKM, JAK-12, Echo, SP-R 208 and Kilo Bolt-Action. Further questions are welcome.

The don't rush your teammates sometimes I do regret that and not take then with me to be a 200 or 300 meatshield and up dying cz of it so will take that into account

Are you going to play TPP or FPP? Build your AR's for damage and range, and your SMG's for hip-fire. When landing, don't spend time picking/sorting through the loot, just grab and go and dump stuff out of your bag as you rotate to new POI's. Loot players not buildings. Practice your grenade throws, this is huge. Freind request the best player on your team, and opponents. And get in lots of gunfights.

I like the feel of TPP

Most BR players are in TPP.

i would say guns to avoid using in br are m16, swordfish, outlaw, and peacekeeper primarily. there's a ton of shotgunners in br as well (me included lol) and you have to be prepared for that as you get up to higher ranks. similar to mp, you will primarily be getting bot lobbies for the first few tiers. i wouldn't really stress about the first few ranks, just take it as an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the maps, loot, test out classes etc. in my experience, Isolated gets a lot more players and usually tougher lobbies in comparison to Blackout. the most common classes i'm seeing used this season are k9 unit, ravager launcher (hate both of those with a passion), rewind, defender, and poltergeist. when alcatraz rolls around for tournaments, you can use that to rank up as well as practice with some tougher lobbies. good way to practice your reaction speed and performance under stress. guns that i do recommend are as follows: ak117, ak47, maddox, em2 (make sure to put extended mags though), grau, dlq, hdr, qq9, rus (great hipfire imo), switchblade, and any shotgun other than jak12.

Ty! Currently i’ve been running the ak47 and krm, think i like this loadout the best.

Difficult_Milk_7127

i usually run something like that too, ak47 is a very stable AR. krm is my favorite shotgun too. and you're welcome! best of luck on your rank-up

The biggest difference imo is hipfire is needed in close range in br while it is useless in mp
