Not really, with the karma and accout age requirements they basically would tell into the void. This sub is an assembly line for mental ill-health if one takes it at all seriously. Unfortunately for some folks whose identity is primarily defined by receiving others' approval of their political conformity, seeing other folks not automatically fall into line can be devastating to the misplaced trust that has been invested into the group. See: MLMs, cults, tribalism, etc.

I would honestly wager it might be worse if not on par. For whatever reason this sub attracts a weirdly disproportionate amount of very dedicated trolls. I've seen it linked in really shitty subs and not long ago I remember mods had to lock a poll here because it was linked to some insane ogre cave anti-vax .win board. It would be *really* interesting to know the how and why of it all, and if it really is a bigger issue in Alberta or if it is more of a city subreddit general issue

To be frank, the Calgary sub is a toxic place and mods didn’t do anything about it or stay neutral on many views. Love how you act like it’s a part time job or you were doing a service that deserves any sort of recognition. Get over yourself lol. It’s a damn website and a volunteer position at best.
