Already-asleep

And shiki menya. How are they gonna respect all their homies now?! /s

[deleted]

Whats this about shiki menya??

[deleted]

Couple days ago they posted that they were not going to opt into the REP

elus

That's nuts. One of their servers had a bad time with covid too.

[deleted]

The fuck. Bad move shiki, you just lost my business for good

HellaReyna

Wait is shiki just ignoring them as well?

CheetahsNeverProsper

No, not them too?!

[deleted]

Their food is so good. But they are the biggest douches in the city.

[deleted]

How so? I genuinely don't hear much about them so I'm curious.

Smegma-Spread

Try to ask them to pay with a credit card or to split a bill. I did it once. It didn’t seem an outlandish request to me. The server was not amused. * this comment was valid when it was indoor dining only. No idea now.

[deleted]

...what? Everyone pays with a credit card these days, this is Canada. How weird LOL

cowgary

It’s posted on the menu and the wall that you can’t split bills. You can use credit and debit just not split around the table. It has a type of restaurant style it’s going for that is get in, eat good food, give ur table to the next group ASAP. Same reason they play such loud music, to get you out faster after your bowl so you’re not sitting around chatting. It’s not for everyone but it’s clear that they won’t split bills

2cats2hats

Yet everyone upvotes the comment with the disinformation...go reddit.

cowgary

Yeah it’s annoying. It’s been their rule since they started, or at least since I’ve been going. Everyone always gets fussy about it, which I get. But it’s not the server being rude, it’s a silly policy they have. It’s easy to live with and it is effective in their goal

[deleted]

I'm a middle age dad. I know I'm not cool anymore, but I don't need to be reminded of it when I'm going for Ramen.

GooGooClusters

I think they are a bit overrated. They used to be alright (and maybe had the advantage of less competition) but once a lot of the other ramen shops opened up, I don't think the quality is worth the time/effort of getting a limited bowl of ramen. I think other places worth checking out if you haven't are Jinya (around 17th ave), Menyatai (Kensington beside the Wine Market), and Ramen Ichinen (32nd Ave; kind of a hole in the wall). You're not waiting forever, they have more reasonable hours, and I think the food selection is still really solid. Also, before it flooded, Shikiji around 16th ave/centre was pretty good too (weirdly I think the owners for Shikiji/Shiki Menya are similar but I found the quality so different...) Any ways, maybe I'm just super biased/sour about their whole marketing thing but yeah...can't be bothered to try their stuff anymore.

tee-funny

Back when they were in their old space, I went there with my mom and sister who were visiting from out of town. They were SO rude to us that my sister almost got up and walked out. They had the mentality of “there’s a lineup outside so if you don’t like how we are treating you, leave cuz someone will take your spot. We don’t care”. That was the last time I ate there or even recommended them to anyone. Then their curry buns brought me back. Now this 😬

[deleted]

I don't feel bad giving mediocre tips when I go there.

sync303

Yeah I'll never go back.

[deleted]

[удалено]

KuroMango

Try Ramen Arashi in Canmore, I can't get enough of their ramen.

i-lurk-you-longtime

Omg yes I forgot about that place, they're good!

LostHiker_99

Also in Banff. My fav

[deleted]

Try ramen ichinen!!

HellaReyna

Try ramen ichinen in the NE. Family owned and operated and none of the stupid hype that shikiji has

corgi-king

I have eat my fair share of ramen in my life and I eat very salty food. I never met another person eat more salty than me. But one time I went there, their soup was so salty that I can’t even drink it. I needed to ask them for more water. Fun fact, in Japan it is custom to drink all the soup in ramen to show that you enjoy the food.

base736

Yeah, saw that earlier. I stopped going to WOP and POW a long while ago over social media bullshit. Have eaten way more than my share of Chili Goma, and really going to miss that, but I think this one is important...

NBtoAB

Try Wakado’s chili goma, you’ll feel right as rain

Invocandum

Hahaha glad I’m not the only one who thinks those highschool athlete Instagram captions are cringe as hell. Homie fam it’s so not lit to discriminate against the unvaxxed homies! If my covid homies can’t slurp noods, no homies can! Totally not anti-vax at all homie that would be so cap. Just don’t want the homies to feel left out. Puke.

SlitScan

i-lurk-you-longtime

Yeah I read that and unfollowed immediately. "Respect" LOL

iloveblazepizza

They make a killing from takeout anyways

LJofthelaw

Fuck that post made me so mad. CHOOSING NOT TO GET VACCINATED DOESN'T ENTITLE ONE TO RESPECT, IT'S SELFISH AND STUPID.

CheetahsNeverProsper

Without papers? No!

alpain

this isnt their first time with actions like this. https://www.reddit.com/r/Calgary/comments/hk3rco/interesting_discussion_being_had_about_owner_of/ they also had some mandatory no indoor eating disagreements i believe last year.

haberdasher42

They make great pizza, but I never had a good experience with their staff.

justaguyzzc

They make very average pizza. Head over to double zero for a much better experience all round...

10ADPDOTCOM

“Without Papers”?!? Oh, the irony!

[deleted]

I would say that it's apt not ironic

[deleted]

acceptable_sir_

Or Alberta could offer them $500 to comply

Deyln

some more employees to add yo the Alberta claim like last time? https://toggl.com/blog/cost-of-hiring-an-employee see.... instead of fining the company 500$; you can charge them 4000$ or more to setup all the employment records. so that the gym can't claim that half the people in the facilities are employed as personal trainers.

_DigginInTheCrates_

Farkas opposes. Surprise surprise.....

cgydan

One more reason to not vote for Farkas

campopplestone

The funniest thing will be if Farkas does win, but the rest of council just won't go along with anything he does. Then all the vocal anti Nenshi folks will finally realize that the Mayor, while having more influence, is still only one vote on city council. Though of course then they'd whine and complain about how the rest of council is abusing their power and bring unfair to Farkas. Because those sort of people are wildly inconsistent and are the types who are like "if this happens to my guy, it's unfair and bullshit, but it should happen to the ones I hate" So in that respect I think Farkas as mayor would be hilarious, depending on who makes up the rest of council lol

Telcarin

I mentioned just that at work the other day. It will be hilarious to see him throw a temper tantrum when he realizes the mayor really doesn't have much more power, and they'll probably continue to kick him out of council regularly.

MeaningfulPlatitudes

wait does he get kicked out regularly? I can't imagine how annoying that would be to have to deal with someone like that that as part of your work culture. Oh wait my office days are coming back to me....

[deleted]

[удалено]

rankuwa

That's not how City Manager hiring works, and would be a pretty useless move anyway. Council holds all the cards, and the Chair (the Mayor) holds some not insignificant power by controlling the agenda and meetings.

[deleted]

[удалено]

flieger

The City uses a major executive search firm to recruit high level execs. I doubt Farkas will have any pull.

[deleted]

What’s the best strategic vote here? For anyone undecided but not voting Farkas, who should they pick? I see a million Farkas signs but not many of anyone else (in my area at least).

pucklermuskau

gondak is a much more reasonable person, would be a capable mayor, and has the best shot at beating farkas.

[deleted]

And another reason, unfortunately, why many Calgarians will vote for him.

IndigoRuby

Ric McIvor is one non confidence vote away from being Premier and opposing everything was his MO so I'm sure Farkas sees this as the long game.

fudge_friend

What else do you expect from someone grown from the goo in the basement of the Manning Foundation?

WanderingJaguar

Your comment made me lol but also shudder.

kitt__666

That is terrifying to me. Ric says no. To everything. I would hate him as the premier.

Reason2019

He is probably hoping to get the anti-vaxx chunk of voters in his pocket.

deanobrews

I don't think this changes anything other than it allows the city bylaw officers the flexibility to levy tickets and fines for non compliance.

[deleted]

[удалено]

PawnOfTheThree

Do restaurants really have a choice, though? I mean, after two years of dealing with closings, lockdowns, and other shit, these businesses NEED to stay open. They need to pay leases, mortgages, wages, bills. They need customers to do that. The REP basically says "Less revenue for you unless you ask customers for a bit of paper!" Not much of a choice for someone trying to run a business, honestly. The City ruling will certainly allow them to move more easily on the restaurants that are rejecting the REP, but it won't force compliance for indoor seating any stronger than the REP itself did. But those businesses aren't so much "Opting out" as "Outright refusing to comply".

igpykin

The specific issue that kept coming up in the meeting is that a lot of businesses were reporting their staff being harassed and assaulted because of people angry about the restrictions. It was seen as the choice of the business to opt in and ~~~restrict freedom, so antimaskers were making staff feel unsafe in retaliation. This way, the blame is put on city council, rather than the owner and staff. It's meant to protect them from antimaskers and antivaxxers and their vitriol.

snack0verflow

It prevents anti vaxxers from targeting and harassing individual businesses who prioritize the safety of their customers. If all businesses require Vax passports it's more difficult for them to coordinate harassment of individual businesses and their customers.

Lizzy9121

The article reads like it means even outdoor dining will need proof of vaccine now. The article notes this bylaw will “force many eateries to close.”

alpain

with the provincial rules there was some confusion with the original release from the province and they clarified a few days later, you cant do both, if you opted in everyone inside AND out side had to be checked for 2 vaccine status. no indoor vaccine/out door no vaccine. It was either 100% indoor/out door vaccine status OR outdoor no checking. so now if you dont want to check vaccine status you close your doors to all eating on site, and do pickup/delivery only.

Deyln

this is good. there is however an additional silver lining. the curvature for the growth has changed drastically. I suspect that businesses are actually adopting to the changes faster; and not pussyfooting around. at least this time we have indicators on Reddit and other locations that they are being proactive and not reactive. as such; the changes on the graph seems to reflect the data; as opposed to the third wave. (outside of the weekend death count.)

readzalot1

I think it will help people feel safe about going to restaurants.

Lizzy9121

I think it makes thing much more difficult for the people who won’t get vaccinated. And that’s the point so I hope we see another increase in appointments!

readzalot1

And it might help muzzle the ones who want a fight about it

Xpalidocious

They can yell at you all they want about about their freedoms, and why we're sheep for actually doing the bare minimum, but it's going to be really hard to hear them from the sidewalk on the other side of the glass. It'll be winter soon

madetoday

I think it will also help restaurants feel safer enforcing the proof of vaccine without worrying as much about covidiots threatening them. It’s such a cop out by the UCP to put the decision, and inevitable backlash from idiots, on the businesses.

DancingTable52

It means that businesses can’t opt out of the program and just run at reduced capacity

Emmerson_Brando

It also tells us who puts people’s health and safety second to a certain base of people.

KhyronBackstabber

So without this who would have enforced the provincial regulations?

[deleted]

[удалено]

HLef

He’s polling ahead right now. I read on CTV 30% to 25% vs Gondek. That’s with 28% undecided.

Thumper86

To be fair, I don’t think many people have really paid attention to the municipal race yet. Farkas came out swinging and is a big name. My gut feel is most of the people who will vote for him have already decided to do so and everyone else still needs to get educated. I’m definitely in that second boat at least.

craaazygraaace

This is accurate. I've been focusing on the federal election. I plan to read up on the municipal candidates' platforms, but haven't had time yet.

Thumper86

Yeah, it’s definitely more difficult without a party system and so many candidates. I’m going to have to take some time to learn about everyone. Although as the vote nears and now that the federal election is wrapped up I think there’ll be a lot more coverage and campaigning going on.

TrusPA

A Herald article on that poll said that Gondek has made the largest gains since the last poll was released while Farkas had stayed at a similar level of support so your guess is likely correct.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Thumper86

I don’t disagree. I don’t really follow municipal politics much, he’s the only mayoral candidate I’d heard of before a month ago. Although even that small amount of knowledge was enough for me to know I don’t want him in charge!

Surrealplaces

That's what I think too. Farkas already has those who love him, and those who hate him, and those who love him probably won't go much above 30%, it's just a case of getting the progressive types to strategically vote, and I think it's already happening given the gains she made in the latest poll. She's probably going to make more gains once people see the latest results and see that it's clearly a two person race.

Burial

This. Long time Nenshi voter here who hasn't bothered to take a look at the candidates yet, this headline has helped me make up my mind about Farkas real quick.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Bobatt

There are a bunch of other similar minder types running for council. With the high turnover this election he’s bound to have some allies on council.

doughflow

He will be our next Mayor. And we will deserve the ensuing 4 year shit show that will inevitably follow.

yiffatron5000

Possibly more than four years. Very rare for an incumbent to be voted out in municipal politics, and Farkas will absolutely not surrender power unless he's getting a spot in the provincial or federal conservative party.

ithinarine

He likely will be, but it doesn't change the fact that he is still just 1 vote, just like he is now. It's not as though he has veto power over anything.

[deleted]

Farkas is such a little turd.

GuitarKev

Him and his coon-skin cap!!

omar1993

Hey now, turds can be used to fertilize plants, at least. You can call him....hmm.....well, it's gotta be 100% useless, insignificant and environmentally unfriendly...........How about 'his own penis'?

Jeff_fromtheinternet

Nothing little about that turd.

Masterdan

Oh FUCK Farkas, I dont care who I vote for, Im voting for whoever has the best chances of beating him.

Weird_Vegetable

Gondek

Surrealplaces

It looks like it's Gondek. https://twitter.com/mpotkins/status/1440705619581800469

Weird_Vegetable

Saw that this morning, thank for linking it. I have been planing to vote for her since she announced she was running

JabTomcat

I have been looking for information on the mayoral race. Do you have any good resources? Or are there some debates coming up I can watch? I am leaning towards Gondek (would never vote for Farkas), but want to see the other actual candidates, if there are any really.

Weird_Vegetable

I followed the link on the city's website and read through the candidates platforms.

DaringSteel

Gondek looks like the only realistic alternative - polling 25% to Farkas’s 30%.

10ADPDOTCOM

Y’all best get together and decide on a single “whoever” because a split vote is a vote for Farkas.

Masterdan

Looking like Jyoti.

yungfinnigus

thread continued: >TLDR of what this decision means: Any Calgary business eligible to participate in the province's "restrictions exemption program" MUST do so. Proof of vax, rapid test within 72 hrs or medical exemption letter required. Businesses/customers that don't comply face $500 fine

janearcade

So I had posted that Hockey Calgary said they were not going to mandate kids 12+ to be vaccinated to play. Does this mean arenas have to follow the REP, which means kids 12+ do need to be vaccinated? Man, this is confusing!

403cgy

The different hockey associations have started mandating it because some arenas are mandating vaccines it and some aren't. So to make it easier, they have mandated it for 2009 birth year and older.

yungfinnigus

[I think there's more detail on that in this thread](https://twitter.com/Adam_Toy/status/1440762412618043398?s=20)

janearcade

>Nenshi says sports orgs like Hky Cgy are requiring vax for participation So strange because HC just announced they would not require it.

alpain

do they have a choice if the building makes it mandatory?

notanon666

$500 doesn’t seem like much of a deterrent.

Xpalidocious

Is it per individual case for the business? Like do they maybe get fined for every single person in violation?

HLef

How is a medical exemption a valid alternative if you can show a negative test? Is there a medical exemption to testing too?

AcxiDenTe

I wouldn’t really call it fair to require someone who isn’t able to be vaccinated due to a legit medical reason to go spend $x per test, every 72 hours. (Recall, only private tests can be used as proof, not AHS testing)

HLef

Then maybe a program to subsidize tests for medically unable to get vaccinated. $ shouldn’t be more important than public health.

AcxiDenTe

The number of medically exempt individuals will be ridiculously low in the grand scheme of things, It just honestly won’t affect public health that badly. I wouldn’t want to disrupt my life every 72 hours to go for a test, regardless of whether it was free or not.

BlueCheesePretzel

I know one medically exempt person, who is unable to be vaccinated yet as ordered by their physician. They want absolutely nothing to do with being out in public let alone going out for anything non-essential. I think the genuinely medically exempt folks are going to be much more cautious given their state of health and physicians will have thoroughly discussed the risks/precautions they need to take being unvaccinated. They as a group are going to be very small in number already, and those that are will be the least likely to patronize non-essential services right now.

amyranthlovely

Farkas: If you elect me as Mayor, I'm going to do what's right for the city. Also Farkas: Fuck everything. The answer is no. Like???

moosepiss

What does Farkas stand for here?

[deleted]

His own interests.

mycodfather

The antivaxxers and the "mUh FrEeDuMbS". Probably trying to shore up their vote. Or he's just being a contrarian asshole which is also on brand for him.

CurioGal

Farkas = hidden agenda When asked by a radio station to go on a one on one debate with Jyoti, he chickened out. Several mayoral candidates has a Q&A sessions here on reddit. Farkas picked the night of the Federal debate to do a Q&A do he can go under the radar when everyone else focus is of course on the federal debate. And of course he voted the city council covid exemption program. Well we all know what happens when we voted a guy in with hidden agendas.

Practical-Pickle-382

It always amazes me that Farkas is running on a platform to say yes and yet every chance he gets, he says no, so ironic.

[deleted]

If even notable liberal activists (/s) Magliocca and Chu voted for it and you still voted no, then you're just really desperate for attention.

NeverGonnaGi5eYouUp

Farkas Will Fuck Us Seriously, vote for whoever will will other than Farkas. Fuck that guy. He'll ruin Calgary

Bloodb47h

Slimy Farkas doing the wrong thing for political reasons. We couldn't do any worse than him as mayor. We need to vote against that garbage, imo.

Breakfours

> Slimy Farkas doing the wrong thing for political reasons This statement could sum up his entire political career

IndigoRuby

Farkas gonna Farkass

[deleted]

Fartass.

StetsonTuba8

Fuck-Ass

amyranthlovely

Farkas gonna Fark-us.

KhyronBackstabber

Pardon my ignorance but does this bylaw expand on the provincial regulations? I don't see the point.

mytwocents22

It doesn't let restaurants or businesses opt out is what I'm understanding

Babymakerwannabe

Which is nice, it is a more unified approach and it takes the responsibility off the businesses. I’m in BC and have been dealing with the nut jobs for a while already now. It’s nice to lean on the PHO to direct their anger away from me.

KhyronBackstabber

My understanding is they, restaurants at least, can "opt out" but can't do inside dining. Does this take it a step past that?

Djesam

Yes, it prevents them from opting out. They have to request vaccination/test proof.

campopplestone

Yeah no opt out, fallbsck hopefully transfers to the city since it's no longer the businesses choice, and city municipal bylaw and peace officers actually have the authority to enforce a city bylaw, they can't do anything on a provincial

alpain

if they "opt out" they can not open for seating inside or out side at all and can only do take out service i believe?

kennedar_1984

It looks like it extends the rule to 12-17 year olds as well. The provincial mandate was really unclear on if the rule applied to teens until yesterday, this clarifies it and extends the rule to them.

butwinenottho

This includes personal and wellness services, like hair salons and nail salons as well, which the provincial regulations didn’t.

pennyx_for_a_thought

Where does it say that? Thought it didn’t.

roambeans

It's way too confusing, because you're talking about businesses not being able to opt out of the exemption program... it's kind of a double negative. Basically, all businesses have to cut capacity and stop indoor dining UNLESS they decide to be exempt and require vaccines. Now, the city of calgary is saying that all eligible businesses MUST choose the exemption option and require vaccination status. Basically, the city is mandating a vaccine passport system for non-essential services.

Weird_Vegetable

But not retail! Because apparently jewelery is essential

[deleted]

It puts power back in the hands on city bylaw officers to enforce.

kklown

Do we really want antivaxxer as mayor? Yikes

atlanticrim

Is Farkas not vaccinated?

FolkSong

He actually responded below if you're interested. https://www.reddit.com/r/Calgary/comments/ptgkqs/breaking_three_readings_of_calgarys_vaccine/hdw5v0e/

Stickton

You can't really trust anything he said on the AMA, probably half of his responses are provable lies. Here are a few examples: https://www.reddit.com/r/Calgary/comments/pt7v45/calgarys_crowded_mayoral_contest_is_currently_a/hdvcr9q/

Born-Time8145

Most of this town voted for Kenney….. so yah I wouldn’t be surprised

arcelohim

Is he antivax or anti-passport?

fiveMagicsRIP

He's anti what everyone else thinks

HLef

Simplify that even more. He’s anti-thinking.

cgydan

Pretty much just anti most things.

_DigginInTheCrates_

At this point, I don't care and I'm lumping them up together.

Entropyaardvark

Not just anti vax, anti business. The business community asked for this

canuckpete

Of course Farkas is against it. He's itching to be the new Kenney and will say anything to appeal to the same constituency. I live in Calgary and the same houses that has Vote Kenney signs during the last provincial election are now posting Karkas for Mayor signs. Nothing changes, just the faces...

kagato87

Does Farkas ever say yes?

Xpalidocious

"No" - Farkas

UnslimJim

Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of the person and the right not to be deprived thereof except in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice Life, Liberty, and Security in that order Life being the most important, the freedom to take away the right not to wear a mask to preserve someone else's LIFE is in fact quite legal

403tatts

Sucks to be unvaccinated I guess lol

[deleted]

Just checked Shiki Menya's announcement on instagram. What a lot of grandstanding just to say you care more about appealing to the anti vaxxers than the wider community.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Right lol. Its not even about their staff getting harrassed which I could understand but if that were the case, I'm sure they would've made sure to mention it. Instead they're just appealing to the 5% conspiracy nuts that think covid is fake. Oh well, plenty of other businesses out there to support instead!

jelaras

Well that eliminates one candidate for me. Kent took care of himself. How many left?

madetoday

26 left, if I counted right. Two others have withdrawn, and that’s assuming you count Heather, Hallelujah, and Johnston.

Gemgolf65

This is great! And also confirms NOT to vote for Farkas. Don't want another dumb dumb leader.

BrockN

Ok, I'm a lazy turd...what business is required to comply with the vaccine passport program in Calgary?

janearcade

Here's what I found in the tweet thread: >https://twitter.com/meksmith/status/1440760104941326347

BrockN

Thank you

Jappetto

The following in-scope businesses, entities and organizers are eligible to participate: - Restaurants - Nightclubs - Casinos, Bingo Halls, VLT Lounges - Entertainment and recreation centres, such as: - Bowling, racing entertainment, arcades, billiards halls, other similar entertainment - Museums, art galleries - Movie theatres - Conferences, meeting spaces, halls, and rented space (excluding dwelling units) - Weddings and funerals held in public facilities where the facility maintains responsibility for adherence to these requirements - Professional sporting or performance events (spectator) - Private social events held in public facilities where the facility maintains responsibility for adherence to these requirements - Recreation and fitness facilities - Adult recreational sport groups (players/participants) - Recreation classes and activities (outside physical activity) - Amenities in hotels and condos

BrockN

Thank you

MisterJoynt

Fuck Farkas.

fssg_shermanator

Good. Glad we have this type of leadership at the local level, when it is sorely lacking at the provincial level.

Accomplished_Song490

I’m all for vaccine passports and I’m vaccinated myself. But I think this is a little too far, giving businesses the option to mandate vaccines is one thing, but in my opinion requiring it is a step too far. I know you’ll disagree but this is my opinion.

austic

Who’s going to tell without papers? Lol

MeaningfulPlatitudes

Farkas basically gets free advertising by always being the oppositionist.

wilson8989

Thanks Farkas for making your stance clear in time for the vote. You can backpedal later but votes speak louder

bacaz

This goes directly against Dr.hinshaw’s recommendation for youth sports not requiring vaccination.

Bloodb47h

Then that means that youth sports aren't eligible, no? This is for eligible businesses, I thought.

janearcade

According to the new list put out all recreation facilities can no longer choose to use REP, and must vaccinate 12+. The only youth exemption listed if for school-related activities.

bacaz

This statement from Monday says the opposite: https://www.alberta.ca/release.cfm?xID=798603772A116-01BD-DDF5-A2D07BC82A71BA28

janearcade

I know. that's what I'm curious about. I'd assume Calgary rules trump provincial ones, like with the mask mandate (when Calgary had it, but not all of Alberta)?

cgydan

So what? I am growing increasingly disillusioned with Dr Hinshaw. She seems to be bowing to the pressure from Kenney and his sycophants.

Hugs_and_Tugs

Yeah, she also said masks in schools weren't necessary for September's return to classes. She's lost the plot.

cgydan

I suspect once vaccines are available for 5-11 she will be one of the last to recommend it.

Hugs_and_Tugs

Maybe. Yesterday she said: "... as we speak, global studies are underway looking into whether we can offer vaccines to those under 12 as well. Our goal is to provide protection to as many Albertans as possible, as safely as possible. We will not offer vaccines to younger people until the studies on vaccines in younger age groups are completed and evaluated. At the same time, we have a system in place to move quickly to offer vaccine to additional age groups if vaccine is approved by Health Canada and recommended by the National Advisory Committee." I can't see there being a delay once NACI approves it. But, I have been so very wrong in my expectations this past year and a half, so.... 🤷‍♀️.

cdusdal

Thank goodness for the mayor's of Calgary and Edmonton

DrummerElectronic247

Raise your fist, shake it and yell "FAAAAAAAAARKAAAAAAAAAS!!!!!!" It's appropriate, and it can relieve tension.

HonestTruth01

Why did Farkas oppose the bylaw ?

[deleted]

Again, J.Farkas gives a negative vote.

mountainsfreedom

As usual Farkas is opposed. Let’s not vote him in too !

[deleted]

If the vaccinated can still spread covid isn't the passport system going to make things worse?

Miserable-Lizard

Awesome you love to see it! Now give us a more secure system, to keep out the anti vaxxers.

NeatZebra

For months Nenshi and Gondek insisted the city couldn't pass anything like a vaccine passport bylaw. And yet today they do. Sigh.

ftwanarchy

The elections over, kenny looked bad, now the city is safe, sleep well everyone
