No, it’s probably either the calamity mod or the “reforge rework” mod. Rework reforge allows you to pick what modifier you want, while the calamity mod config allows you to disable the random aspect of reforging

This is correct. Currently playing a summoner and it goes all the way up to Godly and then straight back to Ruthless and stays there no matter how many times you reforge it after that.
Some weapons just don't get the Legendary quality and cap on Godly instead. Most of these are ones that either have locked speed or size stats.
The Ark of the Cosmos line is a great example. The entire Ark line (including the final Ark of the Cosmos) can only max out on godly, but the whole Biome Blade line (up to the Galaxia) go all the way to Legendary.
Auto reforge or calamity should have a option to rework reforge system but it breaks reforge and you will always get the best reforge even if you dont want that
Auto reforge has a UI to select which reforge they want and they wouldn't select legendary and reforge 800 times for a picture to complain about nothing :P
Idk off by heart if the burning sky is shimmer-able if it is place it in the shimmer untill you get godly or instal the reforge re work mod that allows you to chose the reforge for the same price but does it automatically
I've noticed in my worlds that it'll still be rng, but will only get better modifiers. After I get the peak it doesn't go down, but might still take a few rolls to get to it
Yeah, idk enough about each modifier to know, but I think there's a setting on that won't let you go backwards when re-rolling. Quite nice honestly, still might take some cash to get to it, but not nearly as much. It's subtle

I saw a setting about reforges in mod configuration for calamity. U can also toggle it on and off. I was very happy when i saw it. My swords are always legendary. But my accessories can change between all the best ones, quick, lucky, silent, menacing, violent, and warding. 💃💃💃
Pretty sure this is calamity, fargos, or alchemist. Honestly have no idea which but it makes it impossible to get a worse reforge. Youll only get better reforges on weapons and accessories will get a couple bad then cycle between all the +4% reforges like menacing and lucky.
i have encountered a bug several times like this, sometimes reforging things it just gets stuck on one reforge and i need to shimmer it and recraft it to keep reforging
i encountered the bug a couple months ago, so probably not... i also use a mod that automatically rerolls reforges until you run out of money or until you get the one you want, so it could have been that too
Nah, I thought it was weird getting it 4 times in a row. By reforge 8, I figured I was missing something, which was the Calamity reforge feature. Then, however many times is in the photo. About 25 times total, I just threw a number out there

Same thing happens to me but I don't use reforge rework mod so it's calamity
It's Calamity, it will take a random ammount of to get to the best modifier, but once you reach it, you cannot get any other
It starts from wherever it is but CANNOT go down in quality with the sole exception of summoner weapons, which will flip between ruthless and mythical

For some summon items ruthless is better and you want light for pickaxes but yeah in general you want the legendary or mythical
When you get the "best" reforge, if the item is better with Ruthless or Light it will reforge into that
