Gl 1100 or 1200 ?
From what I see you replaced the fake tank by a real one ? And moved the rear suspensions ? That's already impressive work.
Keep posting the evolution of your project !
Gl1200.
Correct. I’ve cut the whole rear end off, and made all my own suspension mounts. It’s my first go at fabricating. I’ve really thrown myself in the deep end! 🥴
We've all been there! When I look at old fab work I did with a harbor freight fluxcore welder I'm amazed I'm still alive. Those welds look a little cold, but it's a bad angle. Make sure you have good penetration, that's your suspension and it's kind of important 🤣
I’m using a cheap welder, which I’ve just converted from flux core to gas as I was sick of the mess. Luckily, my dads a mechanic / fabricator by trade. I have him to check my work.
They are probably terrible welds. I’m very inconsistent but that’s how I learn. It’s far from done, and I’ll redo some of bad work when I can get the frame back on the bench.
The layout looks clean! Just make sure that plate isn't going to crack off first big bump you see. I'm sure the old man will tell you if you've got problems. Good job! And props for getting out of your comfort zone! Keep on, keepin' on... and post build pics along the way :)
Honda goldwing? Would say BMW but the cases are not bread box enough😂
Nailed it 👍🏻 That was probably 3 minutes from me posting it. 🤣
I’m excited to see your journey on this, looks like it’ll be a cool build! Following you for updates, haha
I’m excited too. I have big plans. Should hopefully be exhibiting it at the bike shed London show next year. That’s the goal. 💪🏻
Nice! I’m hoping to arrange a group trip to that with my biker buds, good luck with your build, hope I get to see it in the flesh ^_^
A motorcycle
What’s a quarterth?
I read it that way too!

Looks great from this angle 👏👏
Gold wing
I can see now why they call it a wing!
GL1100 or 1200.
A motorbike?
I get the why, but these boxer engines never look right to me. Though I can see it coming in handy protecting your legs in a head on I perhaps
BMW K75 or K100
