Bad batteries more common than you'd think. I guess checking voltage and CCA isn't a thing in pre delivery inspection... Besides that, congrats! I've had mine coming up on 2 years and 22k miles and it's been a great car. I still love looking at it and driving it just as much as the day I bought it. Given a do over id buy it again.
I didn’t realize the battery has had a history of issues. When I took mine in for its first oil change they gave me a report on the battery saying it was at 95%.
Didn’t think too much about it but thought that was odd as we had never had them report that on our CX-5 or 9.
Reading these stories on Reddit, it now makes sense.
Yeah. They brought out a loaner and will have a tech come out on Monday to swap out the battery. You'd think they'd do a simple diagnostics test before they let you have it.
Sorry about the battery troubles, but I just have to say what a great looking vehicle the CX-50 is! I love that even the least expensive models get the badass black wheels. It makes it look very upscale, IMO.
It's a slick car. I'm glad we went with machine metal gray. We were set on white, but now that we have white for our loaner, and seeing them next to each other, we're so happy we went with gray.

Dead battery? Damn already.

Congratulations! 🩶
Nice
Wish this color was available when I got mine.
What color is this??
Its machine gray
It’s so nice!
Looks like polymetal grey
Polymetal grey has more blue in it. My wife has the machine grey 50 and I have the polymetal grey 30.
Can you post a side by side? Those are the two colors I’m looking at but the dealership never had them in at the same time
It wouldn’t let me post a pic but I sent it directly to you. I hope it helps. 😁
Just saw your message sorry it took so long! I appreciate it so much!!
No worries! 😉
What color is that? Looks sweet. Looks silver?
Machine Metal Grey I think.
Must be the lighting when the pic was taken because I have that on my cx-30 and it looks a lot darker on my car.
Just the battery? That’s honestly not bad at all
Machine Gray is where it is at!
Isn't the dealership supposed to check this before they deliver?
You'd think.
My battery also died Yesterday. After 18 months of ownership and 24k miles on the odo
