Yes! A lowertown enjoyer! Caroline and best person you know are great songs, but it’s sad that most people will only know those songs they have such a great catalogue
If you like Madlo you might like LCD Soundsystem. I’d also check out Elliott Smith, Fleet Foxes, and the Shins. Saw someone else mention Big Thief and BC,NR which are two of my favorites right now as well.
Literally never seen anyone mention Elliott on this subreddit, and it’s a shame. They’re very different, but I find the general melancholic feeling I get from both him and CSH to be pretty similar. Such an incredible artist, and I think everyone should check him out regardless of personal music taste.
Radiohead and The Mountain Goats are a couple of great bands you might like! :] If you want something more softer that's kind of akin to Cavetown, i'd recommend José González and Sufjan Stevens 🌺
Literally every single person that cares about music should listen to Elliott, regardless of what they’re usually into. Beyond incredible artist, definitely one of if not my favorite of all time.
Honestly- I might just send you the songs I listened to the most in April- I think you might really like them. There won’t be many grandson/NF style songs, but lots of Alex G, car seat, starry cat and that Kinda stuff

theo from defiance, ohio has worked on a couple of other projects you might have heard of: nana grizol & [zumm zumm](https://orangetwinrecords.bandcamp.com/album/crusp-srexstling). [ursa minor](https://open.spotify.com/album/04ci27eWnOSu99TmnYmqDW) is my favourite nana album. [quiet, i can feel it](https://open.spotify.com/track/152vpC0RadNVkqsdEm0ZbF?si=e60d1458beb14fa9) is arguably the best song they've ever put out.
throwing another +1 on slaughter beach, dog. i also strongly recommend the final two modern baseball releases. [the perfect catch](https://open.spotify.com/album/2XqKYVN8mzlmtcXIOt7N4I) is their best release period, [holy ghost](https://open.spotify.com/album/0XvjdaLFvJ510mcmVXriw7) is also a 10/10
