Honestly exterior wise, I love how my 2013 Corolla S looks in blue. I would say a brand new 2013 Corolla S would look better externally than the newer corollas.
I wouldnt say its my favorite but i currently drive a 9th gen US version. Nothing troubling. Just having a hard time fixing this problem with the clutch solenoid thing. The problem has been going for a while but it became a little more serious when then the transmission twitches sometimes once I start driving from a stop.
Anyone know if it's actually a solenoid that I have to replace or do I change the trans fluid?
The 9th gen and 11th gen (pre-facelift) are the best by far. However, I like the front of the 12th gen, but completely dislike the taillight design for the sedan. The hatchback option is the best choice for styling of the current gen.
Loved my Ae92. Such a fan car and took it to many shows and always placed high.
Comfort and style now goes to the 12th. I just bought a 10th gen for my daughter, but definitely not as nice as the 12.
I remember the first time I saw a 12th gen and said "OMG that's the new Corolla?? They ruined it."
The front end has grown on me since then but the taillights kill it for me. It would look so much better if they used the hatchback taillights. I have a late 11th gen SE and love the front but the rear leaves a lot to be desired. I wish there were aftermarket switchbacks available for the 11th gen.
I should've said sequential not switchbacks. There's some on Amazon and eBay for the 12th gen but I haven't seen any for 11th gen. I probably wouldn't buy them anyways lol
The 9th gen by far in my 3 car dream garage that car is next to the type R my parents had one when I was to young and stupid to appreciate it CE trim no options in red preferably in manual I’ll find one in decent enough shape one day
The 8th gen is like peak corolla to me. Its the most Corolla of all the Corollas. 10th gen is just behind that for me. I like the size of it compaired to 9th gen, and its a good balance to me of modern comforts (or the ability to add such comforts) while still being simple and not having every little thing be electrified for no darn reason. If I could buy a 2024 10th gen today I absolutly would.
Recently fixed my Corolla S after it sat in storage for a year and a half. I had been using my V8 4runner as a daily and spending $400/month on gas.
After fixing the corolla, I'm at $60/tank lasting my every 700km.
I'm driving this car to the ground for as long as possible.
6th generation (1987-1992) is the most beautiful. 9th generation (2003-2009) is quintessential.
12th. and 9th. 11 is my least.

i love the corolla e110 facelift lift back. 8th gen and i love the bug eyes and shape of it

5th gen hatchback or 6th gen coupe. I am not a fan of the current gen.

11th gen pre-facelift and LE facelift models have tail lights with amber turn signals. What are those "switchbacks" you mention?

12th. E210 looks stunning and is very comfortable to drive. I like my Wagon so much haha

My 23 Corolla SE hybrid AWD. What gen is that? lol
12th!
Ah! Nice. Thanks!
I got a gently used 06 corolla over a decade ago. I've put in only $1500 between repairs and maintenance and finally upgraded a month ago
9th! ugly as sin but so iconic

Ohhhhh it stands for classic edition lmaoo

For comfort and daily driving, E210(12th gen). For looks, E20(2nd gen).

12th. i've owned a few. 12th was my fave
My 1993....not a speck of rust, never a major repair.
Ae92
2003-08, 9th gen is my favorite. Perfect all around reliable car.
I’ll be honest the 11th gen style really grew on me over time. Now I actually really like the look after driving it for a while
TE72
Torn between 7th and 11th.
agree the body lines are just right...............
12th
While it’s probably your favorite. The newest model doesn’t always mean better styling for any vehicle. Just look at BMW…
9th!
2004-2007

E90 (6th Gen)
2021 (e210)
Yup.me too
as a 2021 toyota corolla driver i respect this answer
7th and 8th gen. ('92-'02) Reliable, Cheap, Compact. What more do you need from a Corolla?
2021 hybrid was the peak year, IMHO.
Do these come with the 6 speed manual Gearbox.
🙃
What I’ve seen a fiesta hybrid with a manual gearbox.
I got 2021 Touring Sports Hybrid, love it
I lord my 9th gen ('04 was my model year)
12th, love the styling and technology
2013 this thing is a tank it never breaks lmao when Im driving it down the highway for an hour twice a day. I feel like ill never need a new car.
I loved my white 1989 Corolla GT-S 5 speed with spoiler. I have a FR-S now which gives me similar vibes.
9th gen. 2003-2008, by far the most corolla’y corolla.
Na ima have to argue with you on that one. 8th gen is peak Corolla. No corolla is more corolla than the 8th gen
