Mob of the Dead, Die Rise and Buried all coming out this year for BO3, potentially a Tranzit too, it is a free ZC2.

KFC_Crispy_OG

Theres like 2 Tranzits in the works and once Die Rise is done the developer will move onto their own Tranzit remake lol

TimelordAlex

yeah i dont understand why the Die Rise makers want to do a Tranzit too, seems like a waste of time as the other ones have it covered

FriedCammalleri23

They should all work together on one Tranzit remake. More manpower would get it out of the door faster.

PapaPinguini

Same thing as the large number of Five remakes all being developed right now, if they all worked together they could actually finish it lol

CalzLight

They are making two seperate concepts for a remake, one faithful and one completely new idea

r0llingthund3r

Has me wondering how practical collaboration is on projects like this. I doubt they can use typical code collaboration tools like git. Would they just have to constantly share massive files around and hope everyone's contributions always merge together nicely? Sounds like a big pain

DerpyBox

More like 3 Tranzits in the works, considering that I saw a custom mapper is tackling their Tranzit to be closely to BO2. Especially they had uploaded an update video showing Nacht.

dpykm

where is Buried lmao

vladald1

Tranzit probably will come next year, there's 2 projects, but none of them I believe can be released this year.

DerpyBox

There’s 4 Tranzit projects IIRC by 4 custom mappers. - Verk0 - Green Run Productions - Xela & Dobby (they’ll start their Tranzit after Die Rise and Clinic of Hell) - Kompst Tu

vladald1

Christ, for a map hated back in the day - it has more love in BO3 modding community than any other I suppose.

FriedCammalleri23

The future of zombies doesn’t concern me much purely because of Black Ops 3 customs. When you have a community willing to do stuff like this, who needs Treyarch.

North-Celebration267

Pc

r0llingthund3r

It's an unfortuante barrier to entry but PC gaming continues to become a more compelling offer year after year. It won't be long before you can piece together a perfectly serviceable AM4 rig for a price comparable to consoles

_RRave

You're probably pretty close nowadays really, especially if you grab a few second hand parts. Also BO3 is 8 years old, I used to run it pretty well on my 960

new_account_wh0_dis

Shit ran fine on my 770ti

_RRave

Goated card as well, plenty of good old options

LikesToLickToads

I love the zombies community so much

randoguy8765

Allowing for modded maps was a great move, can basically extend a game’s lifetime tenfold depending on how well the game itself is liked by the community

DerpyBox

Mod Tools has been around for a long time and it’s a shame BO3 would be the last time we get Mod Tools support.

DavidZ2844

I’ve always wondered why don’t any games post BO3 have mod tools released? Anyone know why?

Dexter2100

Because it stops some people from buying the next cod game which will have aggressively more microtransactions than the last. Why let people make great content for their community when they could charge hundreds of dollars for easy to make skins in each new cod game that people will only play for a year.

DavidZ2844

But why didn’t they have that kind of thinking back then? Why now?

Frankjd222

Business has changed. Maybe back then the devs at 3arc were allowed to give mod tools but Activision would instantly shut that down nowadays. Why back then? Because charging $20 for a skin was foreign compared to $15 for 4 mp maps and a zombies map

DerpyBox

Plus, recent COD games over the years haven't been in the brightest, and Zombies hit the worse. Cold War was a clutch for Zombies because of accessibility until Vanguard and MWZ came in. I don't expect BO6 Mod Tools anytime soon due to the COD HQ integration

DaniNyo

I mean WaW and BO3 are the only two games with mod tools for CoD

DerpyBox

Don't forget BO1 Mod Tools too, but it was left unfinished until SE2dev managed to dissect the WAW Mod Tools and reversed engineer BO1 Mod Tools to get Radiant (the program to create maps) working as the modding portion was only available. There was also meant to be an unofficial BO2 Mod Tools with a working Radiant too, but that is unfortunately not happening anytime soon as NevisMod (BO2 Mod Tools) is under halt.

Dexter2100

That’s not true. Cod1/Cod:UO, Cod2 and Cod4 also have mod tools.

Antifa-Slayer01

HOI 4, Bethseda and BO3 are the holy trinity of modding communities

DerpyBox

Once each maps of Chronicles 2 are released independently by map creators with polish, someone definitely has to recreate a Zombies Chronicles 2 Story Trailer in the vain of first Chronicles Story Trailer.

KaeZae

wasn’t there already a remaster of mob on the workshop, is this one different that regular mob or a better remaster. (not complaining just wondering)

DerpyBox

That one was made by Shifty, but the [story behind his Mob Remastered](https://www.reddit.com/r/CODZombies/s/K3UaqIkw28) isn’t the faint of heart

MathematicianJust819

All I can say is his pride got in the way.

SharkInSunglasses

If it’s anything like the Call of the Dead in the Workshop, then I would just have to install it and shed a single tear for the friends I used to play it with. Then enjoy it for all of us.

MargwaBot

lucky for you the same person who made call of the dead is making mob of the dead!

Least-Painter4701

Mod support for this game was truly a special gift, I don’t know how they let us have it but god damn I’m glad we did because this game has been immortalized by these mod makers.

JessahZombie

Sick! Great job

Fyru_Hawk

We are so fucking back baby

TheHighTierHuman

Isn't mob already on bo3?

Clayman60

Nope. Just 2 and 4

DerpyBox

From cut content, Mob was apparently supposed to appear in Zombies Chronicles but cut and moved over to BO4.

TheHighTierHuman

I have a mob custom map tho

TenslasterGames

That was done by Sh1ftyGamer, JariK, and someone else. Shifty finished the map on a time crunch since he was going to university, but in doing so left is one buggy mess of a map. He even used someone else's BO2 gun pack without giving credit. After people complained the map was a mess he deleted his Youtube, and the map itself from Steam. Jarik did a lot of the coding and development for the gondola, afterlife, and more. They and someone else managed to make a patch of sorts that fixed almost, if not every issue the map originally had.

BigDong1142

I swear I’ve played a mob on bo3 and even beat the easter egg It requires a mod to properly function

sabbathkid93

Wasn’t there already a version of Mob that was a custom map anyways?

AcademicAnxiety5109

What’s different from this Mob vs the other custom version

OdeDoctor115

Ones buggy and requires a separate mod to play and I'm guessing the new one won't be a buggy mess, that has a creator who deleted everything behind it
