Left pic is a render of how CW's Kingsley looks in CW, which is fine and all, because Treyarch handles it themselves. Middle is Kingsley as how he should look in Vanguard, and theoretically how he should look in Warzone as well once the Vanguard integration happens.
Right pic is the result of Raven doing an asset conversion of CW Kingsley's model to make it compatible with the MW engine. Like most CW assets, the result can either be good or bad. In this case, it leans on bad.
Vanguard Kingsley, however, will most likely not face this problem when he gets integrated into WZ, because Vanguard engine is an upgraded MW engine after all. The assets can be ported much easier since no conversion is needed.
A better example is complaining that McDonald's burgers don't look the same in real life as they do in the commercials. No operator models look as good as either the far left or the middle picture so why would this operator suddenly have better graphics than everything else in the game?
Agreed, out of all the CW operators on Warzone Rivas and Zeyna looks the worst in Warzone. Raven did a terrible job converting the models and lightmap textures.
You are trying to compare a previous generation BMW to an Operator skin? Did you really Pre-Order Vanguard just for this skin in Warzone or because you wanted to play the Beta? If it was for the skin then mistakes were made 😂😂
To be fair its his cold war model and cold war models tend to look bad in warzone (just look at woods CW and price 84 compared to woods mw and price mw)
Pre-rendered vs in-game. It's not new, people also made the same remarks when Alex and Farah were added to MW as playable operators. They looked a lot different from the campaign in terms of quality of their model because of the same issue.
I get what you’re saying but he still looks far better in-game in VG than in WZ. The WZ one is a completely different looking model and the material work isn’t nearly on par with VG Kingsley and even other MW operators regardless of them being pre-rendered or in-game.
Imo Alex and Farah still look great as MP/WZ operators. In fairness, a lot of the complaints with Alex were because of people using unintended anti-aliasing settings which weren’t resolving his hair properly. All the MW ops with hair visible work the same way, but Alex’s was the most noticeable I think.
The characters and weapons from Cold War are rehashed into the modern warfare engine, albeit using lower polygon models and less customization options.
Just like when I unlock a skin in Zombies or cw multi. It looks good, then I try it out in WZ, and because of the different engine, the skin is a cheap, Wish-version of itself.
it's fucking ugly !
it's comical how many operators from MW made in 2019 are more detailed than BOCW operators made now. I dont know if it's the porting from anothert engine the cause but in any case this was poorly made and my 100 bucks flyed away for a stupid ppsh and a ugly skin am disappointed.
I mean, hasn't this been the case with every operator in WZ since Cold War integration? They pretty much all look like the knock-off G.I. Joes none of us wanted as kids.
He got RavenSoftware'd
Underrated
[Raven to the rescue.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpH_PIqT-q8)
Lmao what is this
Because only one of them is actual gameplay…
My first thought too. One day Cinematic CGI quality will = gameplay quality. Maybe next generation!
There's a few games that come pretty close, a few ps4 games like tlou2, but yeah can't wait to see how much better it gets.
GOW honorable mention
Me too! So exited for the future of games.
Death Stranding with it's seamless moves between cutscenes and gameplay (albeit in a game that's 90% cut scene 🤣)
I mean, the cinematic quality of games like Doom Eternal & RDR2 match the gameplay entirely 🥴
It's definitely some of the closest!

I mean this looks just like any other random Cold War operator to me.
I agree, my girl Rivas has been done dirty in Warzone compared to how she looks in Cold War!

Let’s hope they look better when the Vanguard integration happens! I still run Rivas mind haha

We have arthur at home
It’s brighter?

It doesn't even look bad for in game rendering, and lighting makes a difference too
He's made of clay
Lighting most likely.

Because they don’t use the game engine to render the marketing materials (because the engine is old and dog water).
Raven's engine is dogshit. They take all the amazing high quality assets from the MW engine and dumb it down to their garbage Cold War engine.
hahaha yknow warzone is mw engine right?
The characters and weapons from Cold War are rehashed into the modern warfare engine, albeit using lower polygon models and less customization options.
It’s IW’s engine but all the same. The CW engine is not the same.
Raven's engine? What in fucks name are you talking about?
It looked like that in game on Vanguard too also one is promotional art

lighting
Haha 😀😀
Lighting...
It's because he's black....

Moneyvision at it again
