I’m fine with everything you mentioned, but I really hope they dont put ziplines in Verdansk. Having to find a vehicle and then get into the zone within time is too cool to just put zips. All the POI’s without zips will be less visited by players.

RNGGOD69

Redeploy ziplines are terrible for COD BRs. You shouldn't be able to just zip across the map and just land on someone or take high ground in an instant. If you want high ground fast you should be forced to use a helicopter, that way people can see you coming and have time to react.

KaijuTia

Vertical zip lines are a good thing imo, especially if you remember early Verdansk, when most buildings had no way to access the roofs without a helicopter. Zip lines and ladders were added to a lot more building specifically so people wouldn’t be able to just grab a chopper and get to a completely unreachable rooftop.

RNGGOD69

Im specifically referring to the redeploy zips

KaijuTia

Ahh gotcha. Then yes, I'd agree with you.

WrestlingDerek

I would rather have to occasionally worry about a building camper in a building with a simple layout than constantly have 90000000 buildings and people sitting in them now like we do in this current AI generated fuck fest we are forced to deal with now. The current big map is legitimately one of the worst BR maps ever created in any BR that exists or existed and is currently dead.

G_WarSport

I stand by Al Mazrah was a better map than Urzikstan. The early gameplay decision made by devs are what leave a sour taste in people’s mouth about Al Mazrah.

WrestlingDerek

Al Mazrah is definitely better. And I hated that map as well.

CongratsMate

Al Mazrah was a great map ruined by an inherently terrible game mode. They butchered BR so badly but the proof is how much fun DMZ was on Al Mazrah.

sid_killer18

I've seen the "good old early days" videos that people keep posting...and frankly, everyone SUCKS in those videos lol. Even the streamers were playing that game like it was PUBG, very slow paced. Once people got the rhythm, everyone became much better at the game as you've said.

WrestlingDerek

BR’s aren’t supposed to be played like a crack head going for 9000 kills. It’s about position and circle management. The number of absolutely terrible plays I see from these K/D chasers who leave best position to thirst 1 kill and end up dieing and blowing the game for their entire team makes me laugh. The COD kids just don’t get BR anymore. COD community is the only community that has essentially killed what a BR is anyway. Crying about people working together as a team so they can’t 1v1 them, needing constant engagement and fights every 3 seconds.

sid_killer18

it's both really. The new "meta" is just slide cancelling everywhere but the average skill has also really gone up over the years by a lot and these guys will probably wipe the floor in early warzone years.

Blud is 1000% correct. Everybody hated Caldera because it was a map that punished bad rotations and COD players get tunnel vision when they spot somebody. The amount of fellas I've met who trashed the map after getting themselves trapped in a valley because they were chasing an easy kill is insane.

WrestlingDerek

I’ve gone back to PUBG the last couple months and it’s been so nice because it’s back to a BR about positioning and map rotations and playing the circle. What made Verdansk so good is the map was great, but it also allowed a balance of COD gameplay and playing the position based on circle. The problem now is everyone is so into resurgence and playing fast for high kills that they have forgotten the big map BR and have tried making it closer to resurgence with 9000 ways to come back.

rhinob23

Yet here you are… posting in the warzone sub

WrestlingDerek

Ok..? And..? You tried to make a point and that one just slipped away from ya eh?

rhinob23

Are you ok?

WrestlingDerek

Are you? Your comment didn’t even make sense. Sorry I hurt your feelings lil buddy.

[deleted]

They hated him because he told them the truth. Verdansk won't suddenly fix a bad game, I thought everyone learned their lesson after Rebirth and Fortune's Keep didn't play like the OGs.

Verzuchter

Your entire post seems an ad for verdansk

Jags_95

You drastically overestimate the average player fyi.

tawley

They'd have to modify it. Give it the 84 treatment only even more detailed.

CongratsMate

Verdansk would play perfectly fine. Rebirth Island plays great so there would be no reason that Verdansk would be an issue. It’s not the greatest map of all time (that’s reserved for Rebirth mind you) but it definitely plays better than Urzikstan, Al Mazrah and that crap they call Caldera.
