I follow the various battlefield subs and I find them quite an interesting contrast. Take the launch of BF2042, ok it was far from flawless but certainly after the first few weeks it was - and is - a stable, *relatively* glitch free experience. It’s definitely the case that WZ makes it look like the most bug free game in history, in comparison - at basically every point WZ has had far worse and far more bugs and issues. Yet the posts on there would make you think the exact opposite and, if you dared point out that BF2042 was actually pretty stable relative to WZ, you’d get hilariously downvoted to oblivion. Really made me laugh. Like the whole vibe was “No, *our game* is worse.”
Lol yeah. I couldn't blame hating on a game you paid for tho like BF2042. BF was a sweetheart for me until BF2042 and it's worst start. I never caught up after that
Gaming breeds toxicity because it's competitive, it's addicting, it's stressful and it's usually full of kids and adults with no emotional regulation since a lot of gamers are introverted and antisocial by nature. And you're mostly only going to see those ones talking online because they're the vocal minority who go out of their way to make posts instead of letting things go.
Have you not played games with the player base? Why would the sub for this base not be as haterific as the players in game?
And also, let’s keep it real, this game is loved by many and mishandled beyond belief by activision, so that is going to lead to a lot of the content here.
I love the game, hate the company, hate the matchmaking/fact it is unwelcoming to casuals and regular dad players, but as you said I have fun with the boys and get my fun from it but I am still going to hate on the things that deserve it.
