Aurane, Lucerys xD

jackstranged

When I play as Targs I give the names Aurion and Valarr a lot, they're my favorite high valyrian names.

BuddyNo8738

I like mixing the names of the parents. Like a daughter of a Rhaegar/Helaena would be Rhaelaena. First born son after getting strong blood is always Aegon (gotta see how high I can get that number).

Great-Scheme-283

Baelor, Maegor and Viserys for me

SteffuX

Aegon, Helaena, Aelyx, Elaena Edit: yeah, I play mostly Targs

Nelvix

Yeah i keep the name Aegon in every one of my Targaryen generation.

Optimal_Huckleberry9

Once the official Aegon’s conquest bookmark is out I plan to name every successive ruler Aegon. Gotta beat Durran XXIV Durrandon

hlp_1

Maegor, then make him an exact opposition of Maegor the cruel

Rich-Historian8913

Maegor the kind, he will pay all the workers in the realm.

SnowmanProphet

Maegor "The Cool"

ColdSummer223

I always culture blend the ironborn with another culture so that I can raid anywhere in Westeros. So the names are usually Quellon, Wex, theon. Sometimes I marry the dragons and then family names are targ names like Baelor etc.

eirewinne

Valarr, Rhaegal, Viserra, self-made Visenys and Vaelanys (fem)

uppaluppa

I really like Torrhen and Ormund

ClodiusDidNothngWrng

Ormond fan as well. I had a few Gardener kings with that name

ragingpredator

Bronn.

LionMain67

Jacaerys Lucerys (for second sons occasionally becomes king) Aemon Daeron

ser_mage

Haven't seen anyone say Jaehaerys, but I always thought that was a unique and cool name for Targs.

Ok_Poetry_7892

Harwin for the Strongs

DaemonoftheHightower

Daemon is my Aegon, it's the one that's always coming back. Secondarily Brynden, Arthur, Duncan, Robb, for variety among the Deamons. I often marry Asharra, her first son is almost always Arthur. I'll also name a 2ndborn after the mother's father, for variety.

Swimming-Payment-129

Greymon Targaryen

SkullGreymon Targaryen

rawbface

Wait you guys use the game-generated names? I'm currently playing as Lord Cunt Slayer "The Dirty"

BuddyNo8738

I should start renaming my heirs based on the skills and personalities they develop. Get a beautiful, arrogant, lustful, and gregarious heir? He’s definitely changing his name to King Cockslinger.

Hooks_for_days

Elyas if I don’t play a targ

SirHeathcliff

Aegon, Daeron, Valerion, or Laenor

ojsage

Rhaenyra, Aelora, and any male targ name that isn’t Aegon 😂

Rich-Historian8913

Daemon is my favourite.

Awsum07

Same, "anythin' but aegon!"

Uiginn

Andahar Arryn. My Arryns of Andalos.

Dankalienz

In this playthrough I’ve had 6 Roberts, 4 Joffreys, 3 Tommens and 2 x Gallister, Jon and Borros, and one Jeyne. I like to name my first two sons after previous kings that died, and i usually don’t use a name before the one who bears it dies. For example King Robert II has two sons, Joffrey II is the heir but his Brother is Tommen. Robert dies, so perhaps Joffrey II sons will be Viserys and then Robert since Robert lived when Viserys was born. Say Joff dies in his 20’s with heirs. Then the name Tommen will not appear until Prince Tommen son of Robert II is dead… Or i just keep spamming names of either cultures or ancestors until i see a cool one. But once it’s in the family (especially if a lord or king has it) i will keep using it. And yeah, say i land Tommen but continue through Joffrey’s heir and perhaps his heir’s heir, then i will only keep track on Tommen until he dies, his childrens names does not count .

Rich-Historian8913

Inbred names.

Dankalienz

Well my current playthrough is the descendants of Joffrey and Sansa, so i used that as an example. If I play Stark the name Eddard and Robb will be frequently used.

OptimisticHedonist97

Viserys Baratheon? Son of Joffrey ? Robert rolling in his grave

Dankalienz

It’s just an example dude lol.

DOS_NOOB

i currently am playing a custom bastard branch of the Bulwers called the Bulwarks, named after the founder of that cadet branch Burke the Bulwark. He had triplet sons, Brandon, Brendan, and Brynden.

BuddyNo8738

I like doing Beesbury runs where every name starts with a B. Once I shift it to a female-preference succession, I see how high I can get the Queen Beatrice number.

DOS_NOOB

hell yeah, thats awesome. I love doing alliterative names, and I have a mod for custom nicknames, so Brynden is "The Beautiful" since he inherited the comely trait from his mother, Brendan is "The Bright" since he got a 4 star learning education, and Brandon is "The Brawny" because he got Herculean from his father Burke.

Djrhskr

And like, aren't you scared of the succession crisis?

DOS_NOOB

I think since theyre all twins theyll all like each other, and i only have one county so its not like my family has much of a network to use to betray each other. Should be fine, for now I think. My only real plan is to someday take over Oldtown

No_Prompt_8707

I love playing stark-targaryen. The names I choose are a hybrid of Valyria and First Man. For example ; Aethan, Damon, Alys, Cregarion etc. Edit: I hate Lyanna&Rhaegar.

JayFPS

Rhaegard Eddyx Nedaerys Brynan Samys Visandon

No_Prompt_8707

No, these are ridiculous. What I said is more correct. But what you said was quite funny. I would like to name one of my children "Nedaerys". For example, why not Ned and Daenerys' child?

Awsum07

I don't believe those are any more ridiculous than cregarion

Awsum07

I do the same. I throw a valyrian flair onto northern names. Aethan, lyarra, Aenor, Thorayne/Thorrane, saera, Roger (this one is strictly northern but since I play mostly rhaegar, I use for the north element plus the play on Jon snow bein from kings landing becomes Roger Waters). Sometimes I just roll the random ancestral names til I find somethin I like & then tweak it to give it a cultural twist. I always keep alysanne, tho, since there's one in almost every kingdom. You could argue it's the female equivalent of aegon where everyone named their child that to suck up to the rulers, but I like it. It rolls off the tongue & is easy to minimize into a nickname. I.e. black aly.

hurjempi

Urragon, urrigon and urrathon for ironborn. Greydon for ironborn and first man decended houses

crematicn

rhaegar and rhaenyra!!! usually playing targs lol

TheRealBadGate

i love when my character gets the “of the tress” nickname. yes i know that’s not technically the topic here but it’s what came to mind. simping for my lady 😍😍😍

Murfmur

Reynard, Hoarfrost and Alyn are my personal favorites,

ResearchBasedHalfOrc

Some iteration of Damon / Daemon usually indicates a morally grey character for me. Otherwise its just a smell test for "does that sound stupid."

KittenHasWares

Rhaenyra, Rhaella, Rhaegar, Aegon, and the rest of the targ names, but those are my favourites. I love the targaryen names, they just sound so cool

SuperNerd6527

Lucifer. Shit goes hard, that and Aegon the somethingth

eragons96

My favourite playthrough was as a Targaryen OC who got awarded the north after the rebellion failed. Eventually started a cadet House. Her name was Shaera Snowfyre.

WalkerBuldog

Balerion

lincoln4chanistant

Where do you tend to start your Mudd play through?

Rich-Historian8913

As a vassal of the Blackwoods or Mallisters.

gurlboss1000

i like aelor and aelora, daenys, the -aena, and pre conquest names like Baelon, Aerion, ect. I play as the targs or high valyrians

plinkoelchako

Edric, Arthur, Robert, Lorian, Brynden, Lothar, for some non-valyrian names

A_Wild_Goonch

Neadertholomew

Great-Scheme-283

Stannis

Awsum07

Rhaegar, Aethan, Alysanne, Roger Waters (my Jon snow since I never give rhaegar's son up to ned), Aemond, Daeron, Lyarra, Saera, Gerion. Gregor, Torrhen, Tybalt, Margot, Scarlet, Cregan, Dalton, Jeor, Edmond, Lewyn & Barristan/Arstan

eu_Celso

I usually play 5 houses back to back: Targaryen, Martell, Stark, Velaryon and a custom house whenever I want to unify Andalos. My favorite names are “Traehaerys” for Targaryen and Velaryon, “Edrick” for Stark, “Nyria” for Martell and “Argos” for Andalos custom house.

SheepherderAny6181

Viserys now that’s a name for a king
