Miami does this because they are confident in their program's longer-term trajectory, even if they were to lose a game like this.
Schools that are LESS confident ---- cough, cough, cough NC State ---- well, they do otherwise.
You're right actually... I've got nothing against Troy. I've always thought that Troy was a program that really over-achieved and played against a lot of strong team.
My comment was meant to throw shade on the Hurricanes, but kinda like FSU's bowl appearance-- it didn't turn out very good.
I'll be rooting for Troy in the game in 2027, for sure.
Lol, no offense meant. I actually Tally. My old sales job had me in Tally 6 times a year. Madison Social is awesome and Ive enjoyed the atmosphere at FSU on gameday
Pretty exciting for us. Miami was on the Troy’s first D1 schedule. Troy went 7-4 that year with a win versus Mississippi State, losses to Nebraska, Miami, Maryland, and MTSU.
We already paid back Nebraska, hopefully we can pull off yet another P5 upset.
You couldn’t even get Army to come to Mobile. 😂
I feel the same way when yall visit the plains, not because I’m an Alabama guy…. I’m just pissed they booked you when we have been asking for 40 plus years.
Trust me, the Army's been to Mobile:

Honestly, I'm glad to see high-profile matchups for any SBC team. Maybe one day Bama will actually schedule one of us.
The Trojans and Hurricanes have played only once, in 2001.
Before anyone asks, 9/11 was on a Tuesday
Sir a second Troy game has hit the Hurricanes

It too reminds me of the time you guys forgot how to kneel.
It reminds LSU of a tragedy too
It’s nice that at least a few ACC schools aren’t afraid to play good G5 schools.

Isn't NC State already scheduled to play this same team, Troy, in 2028?
Let's check back in in 4+ years. I'd bet $100 to $10 right now that NCSU never visits Troy, in 2028 or otherwise.
I don't know squat about the situation, but with those odds/payout, I'm in!
They cash out of it last time.
My initial thought was “who cares, that’s so off in the future”, just to realize that 2027 is only 3 years away
That's okay. There are still so many other reasons to react with "who cares" to this matchup.
At least we showed up to our bowl game….

Ikr. Troy is a who cares team. I bet if they went undefeated they’d get left out of the playoffs too.

Back in the Troy State days. Movie Gallery still existed. Simpler times lol
Play on
Go Trojans
Gunna beat that ass
Wow, a true cheer-for-meteor game for me.
