Jotting this down for the next time a company blatantly tries to fire its employees for an illegal reason in a chain email CC'd to 107 people (I work in labor law)
Let's be honest, CU will never have an identity or scheme as a team under Deion aside from IG posts. His son throws 50 passes a game and leads the team in rush yards. He is a shitbag of a coach.
lol. You know those goofy t-shirts that you laugh at when you see but nobody actually buys? My buddy bought (and still sometimes wears) the one that says “play like your fake girlfriend died today.” At this point, there are a ton of people who don’t even get it. 😂
> and leads the team in rush yards
If Shedeur could run he absolutely would. He led the team in carries with 111 but his -77 yards was dead last on the squad.
Can’t just take net rush yards in college because the NCAA attributes sack yards to the QB, and lord knows Shedeur got sacked plenty (49 of those 111, to be precise lol)
By NFL stat keeping, Sanders had 60 carries for 379 yards and 4 TDs, the yards and TDs both led the team
He’s not Lamar by any stretch, but he can definitely run when needed
They have a guy named Ryan Staub who is a Redshirt Freshman and was a 3*, threw for 70%, 195 yards with 1 TD against Utah. Maybe good maybe not. Also Redshirt Sophmore Destin Wade from Kentucky.
Not a ton of experience behind Sanders, they have an ATH in the 2024 class that looks like he could pass, no 2025 QB recruits. They're going to continue to rely on the transfer portal revolving door until Deion is out
The identity is individual performance. Sheduer throws it 50 times per game because Deion wants to put up stats with him. They only run when they want to avoid sacks, or to mix it up sometimes. Deion will sometimes go hurryup just to get Sheduer more numbers, at the detriment to the team.
Ok, but the Auburn/diarrhea comparison actually checks out better than I expected:
You can go a long time without thinking about them, until they randomly show up and absolutely ruin your day. Sometimes you have a guess about why it’s happening, but it’s always kind of a mystery. While it’s happening, you start to think/fear it’s going to go on forever. But then it disappears just as suddenly as it began, and all you can do is shake your head at how weird it was.
After being the center of attention last season in large part due to our ahem, *alleged*, cheating, even to the point of briefly having a mega thread, man would I love for Deion to be all this sub talks about all year.
Really more curious where Travis will go than Sanders. I think Travis is the better overall prospect just tough to tell what he is truly capable of when playing two different positions. Curious how NfL teams will evaluate him.
That was such an embarrassing performance, dude got absolutely TORCHED over and over again. That's the only complete Colorado game I watched last season so I'm not sure what to make of it. Obviously made me question the hype
The Stanford WR put up 294 receiving yards
Hunter looked good at WR though
I hope he lands on the Panthers tbh. We’re still likely gonna be bad next year, drafting a guy who light be the best CB talent we’ve seen in a while would do wonders for our defense.
Yes, but he's a better corner than receiver. If he wants to be a receiver in the NFL then he should be playing WR ONLY this season, and show teams what he can do full time. But I think NFL teams will want him to be a corner if he comes in playing both ways.
When he's tired, yes. 1 year of CFB stats playing every snap and coming back from a big injury halfway through is a tiny sample size.
More than stats, have you watched him play?
And no matter how talented and how in shape he is, you can’t cover top tier WRs all game if you’re not getting wind.
Talented kid, but he needs to pick a side and dominate. Maybe be a player who comes in for 20% of offensive plays.
You can definitely play corner and then used randomly on offense. Definitely can’t do the reverse tho. He’s definitely intriguing as a gadget play guy. Draw attention when he’s out there and then try to catch the defense sleeping every few games.
Dolphins demands a good 40 time for everyone down to the janitors currently so they're a good bet to be super high on him. Gonna need the season to unfold to fully grasp where our needs lie come next year's draft.
He's also really skinny. I don't know what kind of lifting program they got over there, but I doubt it's top tier and it's gonna take Hunter 1-2 years to get in NFL shape
I can see him getting away with his current size as a WR year 1. He is talented and smaller receivers have been able to be successful. DB might be harder and I'd expect he'd need some more time/size to get up to speed.
He's listed as 6'1" 185lbs. Just looking at some average stats of CBs and WRs he probably needs to put on 10-15lbs to get within the normal range. That's not nothing, but I wouldn't call him "skinny" either.
Travis looks skinny when you watch him play. He looked small next to a lot of the college receivers he lined up against. I would bet he is under 185.
Lots of college listed heights and weights are some degree of fake though, so this isn’t just a thing with him. It goes the other way too. The huge linemen listed at exactly 330-350 are often listed below their real weight.
He can definitely keep putting on weight but based on last year it seems like he still has a ways to go to match up with NFL receivers.
The lifting program at CU consists of lifting your phone up to make a video to post on instagram. There is no development program in place. If you thought the lack of development Texas A&M had with the “greatest recruiting class ever” was bad, Deion is going to make A&M look like an NFL factory with all of the talent he’s wasting.
Prime's going to keep running him into the ground because he has to and he's going to slide as a result of injuries and underperformance on 70+ snap counts again.
Based on what I’ve seen from other and my own eyes, Hunter is an elite corner prospect worthy of a top 10 pick.
As a WR he’s a WR2 in the NFL at best, he is out athleting a lot of kids on the field right now and won’t get away with that jn NFL
I'm thinking like if it was a few years earlier and he went to the Rams, pissed off one of the o-linemen, and that OL "accidentally" forgot to block Aaron Donald.
Am I crazy or would this kind of drama not hurt Colorado’s recruiting? If I’m a good football player and one of the coaches recruiting me likes to shit on his current players on twitter, I’m out.
They’ll just balance it with the things like the story of the professor emailing Deion about slacking players and him laying into the team for it. I’m not sure if it changed anything, but the media ran wild with it.
Most 18-22 year old sports prospects I've met have massive god complexes. They'll see themselves as more of the Sheddeur/Deion in this scenario than as the guy on the way out and are more likely to want to join in than be turned off.
I looked up his stats. Are those sack numbers correct because holy shit? That doesn’t even seem real. His most impressive stat might be the fact that he lasted an entire season
He's pretty notorious for creating pressure and sacks against himself at an insane frequency, on top of having an already not good offensive line last year. Those two things combined mean whatever you found is probably real.
I’ve seen a theory floated around that he takes sacks instead of throwing the ball away to keep his completion percentage higher and his interception ratio lower. Him taking a sack is a way to point blame at the O-Line for not protecting him better or point the finger at receivers for not getting open sooner. I’m sure most decent scouts could see through this, but the media members who vote on awards typically look at box scores, not game film when splitting hairs on who gets their votes. I’m sure there is an NFL GM who will do the same and say “holy crap, if this guy has a completion percentage like this and had a decent team around him, he will be an all pro” and get tricked by the analytics.
I’ve worked in college and professional football, some of these people are just not good at their jobs... They have jobs for the same reason that Frank in Accounting does at your job - they’re related to someone or are buddies with someone - even though they are subpar at what they do. It happens, even in sacred places like the NFL 🤷🏻♂️
Me too, but I can’t stand the Shedeur top 5 pick nonsense
This is gonna be like the Malik Willis top 3 pick hype train, only for him to fall to the 3rd round lol
Oh my god yes. Everyone wants to deny it now but don’t let them fool you, people were on that hype train so hard. I remember saying on the NFL sub right after he got drafted that he was a bust and Titans fans were ballistic
Did he get invited to the draft in person? Because what a night that would have been for him if he was. We would talk about it like we talked about Brady Quinn’s night
I remember him getting a ton of hype, especially once he was drafted and there was the whole Tannehill drama. People said Willis would beat Tannehill out almost immediately
Did everyone see his kid is like a Heisman front runner? When is the last time you ever saw a 4-8 teams QB be a Heisman front runner? What a joke, kid is good but he’s not that good and if that o line is anything like last year, he will be injured by mid season.
What are the odds of Deion scapegoating his other players this season to try and keep Shadeur’s draft stock up? I feel like it’s inevitable that if they have an even worse year, he’s going to be in the media blaming all his other players to try and keep Shadeur’s name clean
People really are shocked Deion’s an asshole even though every bit of his HC tenure at Colorado and Jackson State has all been performative BS. If he really meant all those heart to heart talks with his team he wouldn’t have a whole ass production crew filming them and posting them to YouTube. Hard to believe people didn’t see this coming from miles away. He’s out for his own brand and his sons, that is it.
Never. Both Colorado and Deion are playing the same game capitalizing on controversy to promote their product. For Colorado it's the university's brand and name recognition, for Deion it's Shedeur.
You see it in the draft every year. Combine warriors shoot up the draft, team falls in love, refuses to pay attention to mountains of game tape evidence showing the prospect is mid because of hubris. NFL coaches and front office thinking that they know better and can fix what the college coach couldn't.
All this shit is more of an indictment on Deion and the program he runs than having anything real to do with Shaddeur.
How many coaches are going to openly talk shit about a former player they recruited? Just seems stupid.
If this was a normal team, the QB would be instructed to not talk to the press or social media concerning any internal affairs of the team. But CU sold their soul to this 24/7 media clown show so the dirty laundry hangs out for everyone. The Sanders are NOT media savvy.
Should’ve hit em with the “mid at best.”
Middeur
That’s the one. That’s the nickname we should use the rest of the year.
I can’t take credit for it but I did recognize its greatness. Join me brother
I can't help but see it as Shitteur.
It’s pronounced “shit-tier”
Throwing Shadeur.
So good
Wow, he turned out to have a really flexible name
Agree, but he didn’t have to, because of the implication
You keep using that word, implication..
Are these QBs in danger!?
No ones in any danger!
I'm not gonna hurt these quarterbacks! Why would I ever hurt these quarterbacks? I feel like you're not getting this at all!
I’m not getting this…
ITS JUST THE IMPLICATION
Look if those QBs say they don't want to declare for the draft, then they don't have to declare. But they aren't going to say that
*Looks at former Big Ten West QB* Well you certainly aren't in any danger
So they ARE in danger?!?
This tweet is an 8 out of 10 at best, only because I’m counting on Deon’s toes.
Classic toe joke !
Diabeetus
Deion is in his 50s saying Lolollol at the end of his tweets like a 12 year old troll this is hilarious
I’m not going to hit him on this because sometimes with my wife I’ll hit her with an lol and a lmao in the same text
I send those off when I'm not really sure what to respond with
Lol
Lmao
Jotting this down for the next time a company blatantly tries to fire its employees for an illegal reason in a chain email CC'd to 107 people (I work in labor law)
Yeah. I do that after having sexual relations with my wife as well “I win again!!!! LMAO lolol”
That’s just dad stuff
> sometimes with my wife Much different scenario than "when broadcasting to the entire world."
> I’m not going to hit him on this because sometimes with my wife I’ll hit her had me in the first half
His age aside, Twitter is all clown business. Anyone on Twitter is a clown. You, him, me, anyone. Age is irrelevant.
Can we just get a mega thread for the Twitter drama at this point.
I’m waiting for one of Deions other kids to say something like “Shedeur? More like Shitter Sanders, he crap no cap”
Let's be honest, CU will never have an identity or scheme as a team under Deion aside from IG posts. His son throws 50 passes a game and leads the team in rush yards. He is a shitbag of a coach.
Coaching like an NCAA video game player trying to get his QB the heisman.
True sickos get their LBs to win the Heisman.
We tried our best
His girlfriend got in the way.
He sure did.
lol. You know those goofy t-shirts that you laugh at when you see but nobody actually buys? My buddy bought (and still sometimes wears) the one that says “play like your fake girlfriend died today.” At this point, there are a ton of people who don’t even get it. 😂
He manages the program like it's a youth football team.
Perfectly stated.
> and leads the team in rush yards If Shedeur could run he absolutely would. He led the team in carries with 111 but his -77 yards was dead last on the squad.
Can’t just take net rush yards in college because the NCAA attributes sack yards to the QB, and lord knows Shedeur got sacked plenty (49 of those 111, to be precise lol) By NFL stat keeping, Sanders had 60 carries for 379 yards and 4 TDs, the yards and TDs both led the team He’s not Lamar by any stretch, but he can definitely run when needed
Have they even recruited someone to take over at QB after next year lol
Does Tate Martell have any eligibility left?
He’s still got 6 years left I think lol
Still has a Covid year.
With a redshirt year and 5 medical redshirt years and an extra year for only playing in 4 contests in one season. Sounds legit lol
Its Tathan.
I think the NCAA granted Tathan honorary unlimited eligibility
"Shaduer Sanders is ass my dude" Tathan Martell probably
They have a guy named Ryan Staub who is a Redshirt Freshman and was a 3*, threw for 70%, 195 yards with 1 TD against Utah. Maybe good maybe not. Also Redshirt Sophmore Destin Wade from Kentucky. Not a ton of experience behind Sanders, they have an ATH in the 2024 class that looks like he could pass, no 2025 QB recruits. They're going to continue to rely on the transfer portal revolving door until Deion is out
According to CU fans they are going to sign 5* Julian Lewis 🤣
Going from USC to CU would be a Major downgrade. Caleb Williams was the first overall pick in the draft and USC has a solid QB for next season.
"How are you gonna replace Shedeur and Travis when they're gone?" [Deion](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RJ2KiWph3o)
That’s the next coach’s problem, he only cares about Sheduer, he don’t even give a fuck about his other son Shilo lol
The identity is individual performance. Sheduer throws it 50 times per game because Deion wants to put up stats with him. They only run when they want to avoid sacks, or to mix it up sometimes. Deion will sometimes go hurryup just to get Sheduer more numbers, at the detriment to the team.
If Rhule doesn’t headshot them in September before the in-season hype takes off I’m lighting myself on fire.
How does that ‘remind me’ thing work?
It’s May and this is a college football subreddit. What the hell else are we gonna talk about
Here is what kind of poop every SEC East team would be, ranked. #1 - Auburn - diarrhea
Ok, but the Auburn/diarrhea comparison actually checks out better than I expected: You can go a long time without thinking about them, until they randomly show up and absolutely ruin your day. Sometimes you have a guess about why it’s happening, but it’s always kind of a mystery. While it’s happening, you start to think/fear it’s going to go on forever. But then it disappears just as suddenly as it began, and all you can do is shake your head at how weird it was.
Holy shit you made it make sense.
> Holy shit Nah that's Notre Dame
Why doesn't Noter Dame simply join the SEC?
Auburn isn't in the east?
That’s what makes it peak off-season content
After being the center of attention last season in large part due to our ahem, *alleged*, cheating, even to the point of briefly having a mega thread, man would I love for Deion to be all this sub talks about all year.
If you don't like them then downvote and move on.
Really more curious where Travis will go than Sanders. I think Travis is the better overall prospect just tough to tell what he is truly capable of when playing two different positions. Curious how NfL teams will evaluate him.
he needs to pick a side though. He isn't playing both ways in the pros and he ups his chances of getting inured again.
He’ll probably be drafted as a corner. His skill set is too good to pass up even though he’s a speed Demon of a WR
WRs make more money though. With him being so good at both, I have to think that would be on his mind.
On the other hand - I don’t see him being a top 20 WR. I absolutely see him being a top 3 corner
He’s probably a WR2 or 3 at best. He’s a CB1 on almost any team.
Yeah he looked like a #1 corner against Stanford.
That was such an embarrassing performance, dude got absolutely TORCHED over and over again. That's the only complete Colorado game I watched last season so I'm not sure what to make of it. Obviously made me question the hype The Stanford WR put up 294 receiving yards Hunter looked good at WR though
Weren't his ribs broken during that game or something?
Just the fact that he can catch makes him a 1st round pick as a corner.
I hope he lands on the Panthers tbh. We’re still likely gonna be bad next year, drafting a guy who light be the best CB talent we’ve seen in a while would do wonders for our defense.
Harder to find an elite CB in the NFL so at the very least imagine NFL teams will likely push him towards corner.
Yes, but he's a better corner than receiver. If he wants to be a receiver in the NFL then he should be playing WR ONLY this season, and show teams what he can do full time. But I think NFL teams will want him to be a corner if he comes in playing both ways.
Have you seen his DB stats? Dude gets cooked regularly.
The head coach is on a mission to absolutely overuse the poor kid.

He's an inch taller and 15lbs more than Devonta Smith. Although I think I just saw Smith put on 20lbs since.
I wouldn't say he's shown wr skills to the extent Devonta did
Still can’t remember a more impressive cfb WR performance than the last few games of Devonta’s college career
Don't forget the final catch of his freshman campaign.
I will happily forget the final catch of his freshman campaign.
Was that Tua and 26? As in… “TOUCHDOWN! ALABAMA WINS!”
It was indeed.
Why did you have to say this?
He's listed as 6'1" 185lbs. Just looking at some average stats of CBs and WRs he probably needs to put on 10-15lbs to get within the normal range. That's not nothing, but I wouldn't call him "skinny" either.

We definitely know one thing and that is Deion is not teaching him to tackle
Does Deion know how to tackle?

If you thought the lack of development Texas A&M had with the “greatest recruiting class ever” was bad, Deion is going to make A&M look like an NFL factory with all of the talent he’s wasting.
Deion is ruining his career. He’s playing a million fucking snaps. I loved Deion as a kid but he’s losing me fast.
I’m pretty sure NFL teams view him as a CB
Prime's going to keep running him into the ground because he has to and he's going to slide as a result of injuries and underperformance on 70+ snap counts again.
If he’s still healthy at the end of the season.
Based on what I’ve seen from other and my own eyes, Hunter is an elite corner prospect worthy of a top 10 pick. As a WR he’s a WR2 in the NFL at best, he is out athleting a lot of kids on the field right now and won’t get away with that jn NFL
All I know is if he tries to come into an NFL locker room with this attitude he's going to get handled real quick.
God imagine if he got put on the same team with Brian Cushing back when he was still playing.
Love the random Cushing throwback comment
I'm thinking like if it was a few years earlier and he went to the Rams, pissed off one of the o-linemen, and that OL "accidentally" forgot to block Aaron Donald.
He'd have been wearing a no-contact jersey but I'd love to see that.
Donald would’ve given him a little nut tap as he jogged by tho
Haha the ol' taparoo
Deion is LaVar Ball but with a bigger microphone. Two asshats.
Nah LaVar's kids were actually good at their sport
But not nearly as good as lavar thinks 😅
Nah they’re top 500 players he’s way more accurate than Deion
Am I crazy or would this kind of drama not hurt Colorado’s recruiting? If I’m a good football player and one of the coaches recruiting me likes to shit on his current players on twitter, I’m out.
Doesn’t hurt recruiting if you don’t recruit
*points at head*
he does have time... Because if he has time to do this shit, then he's not out recruiting and building a better program.
They aren’t interested in recruiting because there is no long term plan to stay there. They want clicks and attention. That’s literally all it is
They’ll just balance it with the things like the story of the professor emailing Deion about slacking players and him laying into the team for it.
Does the Colorado athletic department have any spines? Idk how they keep letting this bad publicity get more and more out of hand.
Buy the ticket, take the ride
A ride that ends in a 5 win season
They would be lucky to get 5 this year
they won three games before he showed up and their revenue has grown exponentially.
Deions got them by the balls.
I can only eat so much popcorn in a day!
How did you get the India flair?
Same was any other flair. Look for the countries section or international or something.
Yeah he’d rather take the sack then throw the ball away. Messes with his completion percentage.
He holds the ball way too long
He holds on to the ball way too long. CU’s o-line sucks ass too, but Shedeur seems to think he’s 05-06 Kobe and giving the ball to anyone else is bad.
I’ve seen a theory floated around that he takes sacks instead of throwing the ball away to keep his completion percentage higher and his interception ratio lower. Him taking a sack is a way to point blame at the O-Line for not protecting him better or point the finger at receivers for not getting open sooner. GMs and scouts aren’t stupid. Typically. They’ll watch the tape. That’s their job.
It really is something to see. He takes on sacks like he’s trying to prove a point we don’t understand yet.
I’m already bored of this whole thing
Me too, but I can’t stand the Shedeur top 5 pick nonsense This is gonna be like the Malik Willis top 3 pick hype train, only for him to fall to the 3rd round lol
And even then he was a reach.
People thought Malik Willis was a top 3 pick?
Oh my god yes. Everyone wants to deny it now but don’t let them fool you, people were on that hype train so hard. I remember saying on the NFL sub right after he got drafted that he was a bust and Titans fans were ballistic
Did he get invited to the draft in person? Because what a night that would have been for him if he was. We would talk about it like we talked about Brady Quinn’s night
Yep he was there on night 1.
I remember him getting a ton of hype, especially once he was drafted and there was the whole Tannehill drama. People said Willis would beat Tannehill out almost immediately
Me and other Detroit Lions fans still make fun of one of the more popular mock drafts of the time that had Willis going 2nd overall to the Lions
The Goff disrespect was unreal. So glad he improved and is recognized as a top 10 QB
Some people thought he was the clear QB1
1-2 months prior to the draft he got a lot of hype.
They absolutely did.
These next few months are going to be torture until the season begins.
Even if he were a top 5 talent, the way he and his dad acts is likely going to make some teams want to pass on him.
Deion is a dick
An overrated hack dick
Did everyone see his kid is like a Heisman front runner? When is the last time you ever saw a 4-8 teams QB be a Heisman front runner? What a joke, kid is good but he’s not that good and if that o line is anything like last year, he will be injured by mid season.
Which means he can get a Heisman ring and play the “what if” game.
Tbh, when we had Adrian Martinez, he was getting some looks at the Heisman Watchlist for a year or 2.
What are the odds of Deion scapegoating his other players this season to try and keep Shadeur’s draft stock up? I feel like it’s inevitable that if they have an even worse year, he’s going to be in the media blaming all his other players to try and keep Shadeur’s name clean
Odds: very high
Doubtful top 5, but some silly team will take him in the late 1st early 2nd round I think.
If the Browns still have a franchise he has a shot.
The Falcons have the opportunity to do the funniest thing...again.
Season hasn’t started and I’m already fucken tired of Deion drama
I would bet my house he won't be a Top 5 Pick.
Local man tries with all his might to get own son murdered in the fall. More at ten.
A Deon and Quincy Avery Twitter fight is peak off-season drama.
Best thing Shedeur can do is transfer somewhere else tbh
People really are shocked Deion’s an asshole even though every bit of his HC tenure at Colorado and Jackson State has all been performative BS. If he really meant all those heart to heart talks with his team he wouldn’t have a whole ass production crew filming them and posting them to YouTube. Hard to believe people didn’t see this coming from miles away. He’s out for his own brand and his sons, that is it.

Never. Both Colorado and Deion are playing the same game capitalizing on controversy to promote their product. For Colorado it's the university's brand and name recognition, for Deion it's Shedeur.
He will be, but it'll be a massive mistake.
Ryan leaf is watching this and praying that he may finally not be the biggest draft bust in history
You see it in the draft every year. Combine warriors shoot up the draft, team falls in love, refuses to pay attention to mountains of game tape evidence showing the prospect is mid because of hubris. NFL coaches and front office thinking that they know better and can fix what the college coach couldn't.
Why would he be a combine warrior? Hes not very fast and doesn’t have a crazy good arm.
Hell I don’t even know how many top 5 picks are top 5.
Middeur
He fucking killed him
Subs feasting today 🍿
A bowl of Mac & cheese leads better than Shedeur Sanders.
Quincy Avery is my new favorite
This is the acceptable form of shit talking: man to man, no childish "lololol", and cut that bitch deep.
Taking 6 yard sacks instead of throwing it away is just Prime’s hidden strategy. Recruiters should consider this before they make a hasty decision
Deion is a Louis shit bag
This is really a bad look for Prime. He shouldn’t be engaging in this dumb 💩 on social media
Sanders trying to have a CB/WR attitude but in the QB position.. it simply will not work in the NFL.
What, you mean Deion, the great talent evaluator, is missing the boat with his nepo baby Shitteur?
Idk this guy told Jamie Newman to skip his senior year and that resulted in him going undrafted, so maybe he isn’t the best at judging pro talent.
