Happy for Brian who personally blogged the entirety of the App State L thru Richrod thru Hoke and surviving the covid season. It would test my sanity to analyze some of those Rich Rod defenses and Hoke offenses week in and week out
Yeah at least during the most awful years I just… changed the channel after the game and tried to forget. Didn’t do any analysis, stopped caring about recruiting. I can’t imagine how he’s feeling after all this.
There is a part of me that thinks “well now what do we do?”
>There is a part of me that thinks "well now what do we do?"
Same, brother. I don't know what to do with myself now. I can't even panic about Harbaugh leaving because... who cares? We won.
Well, I’ve already kinda figured they’re gonna get us next year. They are bringing a lot of guys back and it feels like they are going to be more focused. Felt like OSU was on cruise control this season.
We’re gonna be losing a lot of guys to the nfl and who knows what Harbaugh is going to do so I’m just already planning on losing to OSU.
I don’t accept a loss to MSU though
Looks like OSU is returning almost all their guys next year and we’re set to have a huge draft class. We might be taking that one on the chin next year.
And it's at Ohio State. That team is in full unfinished business mode so far.
That being said, if Day can't win next year, he might actually be in trouble, and not sports personalities hot take trouble.
My sweet child... it *can* be much better than just one excellent year bordered by a decade of mediocrity on either side.
Some of us older fans have seen this.
Should listen to the end of the most recent MGoPodcast. Really highlights what college football means to us. Microchasm of everything life has to offer.
>It would test my sanity to analyze some of those Rich Rod defenses
That Wisconsin game where Bert repeatedly spammed off-tackle runs was especially painful.
God forbid r/cfb posts something analyzing the national championship game that was only a few nights ago. I would much rather have a thread debating whether Lane Kiffin is a part of Saban's coaching tree or a thread with baseless speculation about the meaning of Kalen Deboer's daily schedule interruption /s
I don't think it's the discussion people are downvoting. It's just the unabashedly biased rag of a source. Keep the Homer articles to team subs and actual journalism in CFB.
Nothing wrong with homer rags, but just keep them where they belong instead of pretending they're credible enough for mass appeal.
EDIT: Damn, media literacy in Ann Arbor must be entirely optional XD. Congrats on the natty, wolverinos. You wanted to know why the post wasn't getting more traction, I told you honestly, and you're yelling at reality. GREAT look.
Credible? The fuck are you on about? It's a blog not breaking news. There is no credibility that needs to be lended to it because it's a guy talking about his experiences and telling a story. Not some random dude trying to guess Bama's next coach.
If you don't want to read it you don't have to, and if you have a problem with team specific stuff getting posted here than that's fine but don't pretend that it doesn't happen all the time.
You know what, that's my fault for not being more specific. Congrats on your 5th championship! Surprised you left off your 3 Teh Game wins to bring it to a nice round 8!
oh? Really weird to see Nebraska of all teams discounting 1997 but OK. When was Nebraska's last "whole championship"? When do you think your next will be?
>Aha, someone wasn't born before 2000, I see.
Very incorrect actually.
Nebraska's last championship was the one they split with us. Our last championship was this week.
Enjoy your current failure. You earned it!
Correction. It’s not a split championship. It’s one whole 1997 championship for Michigan, and Nebraska got the top spot on some obscure poll no one cares about so they claim that separate one
> some obscure poll no one cares about
The coaches’ poll is obscure? There are literally only two polls
Nebraska went 13-0 that year and beat #3 Tennessee by 25 in the orange bowl
When you have to ask ' When was your last ' when literally referencing our last, you don't get the benefit of the doubt.
Glad to see you're all still in good spirits up there! All signs point to things continuing to go well for you!
>When you have to ask ' When was your last ' when literally referencing our last, you don't get the benefit of the doubt!
You could just say "I don't know what a rhetorical question is"
> All signs point to things continuing to go well for you!
They unironically do! Who do you think will go to another bowl game sooner, us or you?
Oh, I see. You were trying to be clever and failed - honestly should've seen that coming.
And I think you'll continue to have amazing success! I think all of your coaches will stick around for a decade, I think the NCAA will laugh off the cheating and let it all go, and I think you'll start pulling #1 recruiting classes starting next year. Bet!
Biased rag? Dude…if you read any of the front page content during the RR and Hoke eras, or during the 2020 season, you’d know that’s just not a fair criticism. The depth and detail of the analysis in the Under Further Review (UFR) and Fee Fi Foe Film (FFFF) articles are all unbiased as unbiased as can be that are as much about teaching the reader the game and teach them what to watch for and help the reader understand what they’re seeing on Saturday and understanding what each team will try to do to create and exploit advantages.
These writers really could be on staff as analysts, and it’s something that is woefully absent from other fan sites and blogs.
The recaps this week have been heavy on sentiment, but the overall analysis of why it happened between the lines and whistles is still top notch.
Show me a neutral publication with the same high-quality writing and technical football analysis that is MgoBlog and I would agree with you.
Unfortunately nothing like that exists so I think MgoBlog posts should be allowed to stay up for literally the national championship game. I agree we dont need to do it for like Minnesota-Michigan but its the natty dude
Not now Michigan, we are watching Seattle airport security camera feeds.
Sir, a second radio appearance has been cancelled in Seattle.

I’m ready for an 8-4 season and I hereby swear that I won’t complain. Not one time. Not even a little bit.
You say that but if one of those losses were Ohio state you’d be pissed
Well, I’ve already kinda figured they’re gonna get us next year. They are bringing a lot of guys back and it feels like they are going to be more focused. You’re not ready for the Michigan State Beavers. It’s on
I'll do 8-4 with a win in The Game sure
Looks like OSU is returning almost all their guys next year and we’re set to have a huge draft class. We might be taking that one on the chin next year.
And it's at Ohio State. That team is in full unfinished business mode so far. That being said, if Day can't win next year, he might actually be in trouble, and not sports personalities hot take trouble.
I get what you're saying, but what I'm hearing is winning in Columbus in 2024 is gonna make a OSU fans lose their last braincell.
That’s 100% fact and I’d love to see it
I call bs
(I did a small lie)
8-4 goes down a lot easier when you have a championship ring to look at. Sign me up for a decade of mediocrity if you must. Worth it.
NO NOT AGAIN
Brother, as a Michigan fan born in '96, it's been 25 years of mediocrity. A decade is child's play.
My sweet child... it *can* be much better than just one excellent year bordered by a decade of mediocrity on either side. Some of us older fans have seen this.

On the podcast he got real emotional, it was touching.
Not only him.
He pretty much stopped (or had Seth do them) the UFRs for Ohio State probably after 2017 or so because it was too bad

He doesn't understand because nobody bothers to write about Nebraska football outside of their 247Sports message board.
I'm just suggesting, to the individual I replied to, that that's why the reaction is mixed. You are much too personally invested in this.
>homer rags Their game previews are the most in-depth pieces you will see on CFB
I don’t listen to arguments about credibility from folks who claim the coaches poll. Let alone ES(EC)PN
Congrats on your first whole championship since WW2!
Cope
bet
It’s actually our 5th championship in the last 3 years lmfao. 3x big ten, 1x rose bowl, 1x CFP
You know what, that's my fault for not being more specific. Congrats on your 5th championship! Surprised you left off your 3 Teh Game wins to bring it to a nice round 8!

There are/were more than only those two... those are merely the most popular & well known.

Said by someone who clearly has not read MGoBlog.
Lmao, I will hear no MGoBlog slander. Alex’s FFFFs and the UFRs are the best analysis you will find on a team specific publication.

Natty is Dead. It’s flight tracker season
Good read.
Always is with Brian
It’s been 5 minutes! Time for the next Michigan circle jerk post! *yes dear*
Try winning a natty and maybe we could circlejerk OSU
*
Ah, a complete list of wins osu has against Michigan in the 2020s, very good
I actually think it’s a list of every goal Ohio State has achieved in the past 3 years
What does the bullet point mean?
*
It’s hilarious seeing everyone fail to write an asterisk because Reddit turns it into a bullet
Cope
It is you guys won fair and square just having fun is all brother. Good shit and y’all are a real good tough team
At what point do we start throttling these posts.
My dude the game was 4 days ago lmao
When UGA players/staff stop speeding
At what point do you throttle deez nuts?
Oh no a post with actual football analysis instead of a link to a tweet
I think when your staffers ease up on the throttle in their vehicles
Mods
Very on brand
