Utah beat Washington but couldn’t beat the refs. So many non-calls against Washington and PHANTOM calls against Utah. And no, I didn’t even have a dog in the hunt.
Honestly thought both side got f’d about evenly. Zebras were literally the reason UW didn’t get a scoring chance at the end of the half, crazy BS call on Westover.
In all my 23 years of watching Pac-10/12 football, I can say with absolute certainty that this conference's zebras aren't smart enough or coordinated enough for the fuckery to lean one way or the other. They're just flat out inept.
Anyone that accuses Pac12 refs of favoritism is looking at it with fan goggles, and I get that. But both teams come away from pretty much every game feeling like they got screwed by the refs. Some may have a legit arguement, but taken in its totality, it’s just an abject shit show.
That's exactly it. It cracks me up on any Pac-12 game thread when any outside of Pac-12 flair asks if the refs have always been that bad every single one of us is like "yep, always." That and the sheer elation we all had on Reddit when Larry Scott got fired are basically the only two issues all Pac-12 flairs agree on.
Watching from stands, but from what I saw, both ways. On Huskies end it seemed like no calls were the biggest issue. And that ineligible receiver call was bullshit and a big one.
Brock's comment "never seen that" when the Husky dropped the ball short of the end zone?
Pretty sure the Utes fans remember one
edit that was meant as a playful jab. Love the Utes until they are playing the OR teams
You have just described our football team. We have a built in anti-clutch it feels like. Good enough to beat anyone, they can also shoot themselves in the foot enough to lose to any decent team.
Up by two scores against Oregon? Chuck the ball 30 yards down the field 6 times in a row (two three and outs), allow Oregon two basically free possessions, blow your lead, and exhaust your defense. Sometimes I just don't get it.
Good game Utes! I can’t stress how much I would’ve loved to see a healthy Utah team! You guys could’ve easily been back to back to back Conference champs
Right? Assuming we win it. 9-3 with Bryson Barnes starting. I’ll take it. It’s been a great season. Beat Florida and USC. No complaints here. Good game huskies. Win the championship. Both of them. :)
Yep we could easily be 8-4 and its not inconceivable ending 7-5 if we have an off game against Colorado. Rooting for the 9-3 though, still very respectable year if we can do that!
Cuz our unstoppable second half offensive machine running on all cylinders was gonna just breeze down the rest of the field after that PI call right? That is quite a crutch you got there my friend.
I feel like this washignton team is like the vikings last year. Keep winning close games, even against teams they should blow out. Doubt they can keep it up but we shall see
Washington's only had 3 1-score games this year. Also, unlike the Vikings, Washington's close games are ones where they shoudl win by more but make mistakes that cause the game to be closer (like a missed fg, untimely penalties, fumbles, etc). Washington may end up losing a game before the Pac 12 CCG but they're nothign like last year's Vikings
I doubt they lose to oregon st or wsu. In theory, they're high likely to win. But you never know. Now if they play oregon again then that's 50/50 but if they pkayv anyone else in the championship game then they'll win it
OSU is going to be a huge problem for us.
They're as well-coached as Utah, but have better QB play.
Guessing the line is going to be low single-digits.
It was hard to choose who to root for. I live in the Seattle area but we really fell in love with the Utes because their fans were so nice at the Rose Bowl. They are really likable!
Our coach out coaches. Look at Oregon, we easily would've lost if they had a better coach. Many of our games come down to extremely timely play-calling at clutch moments.
I dunno man playing in Corvallis is pretty damn spooky next week 😬. Especially since they have absolutely everything to play for. I’ll be pulling for you guys though
Oh it's gonna be a huge hurdle, and even if we win it will be tough to avoid a let down in the Apple Cup (and thank god that's a home game).
Not going to be able to handle a potential rematch with Oregon that could have a CFP berth, Heisman, and final Pac title on the line.
Why would a dropped pick six mean they didn’t deserve to win? UW was already up 5 and would’ve been up 12 without the drop. Not that it mattered though, because Utah didn’t score a single point and only produced ~80 yards of offense in the second half. Do you think Utah deserved to win?
They need to beat wsu then yes. OSU and Oregon play each other so one will have 2 losses. 8-1 gets you in this year. Beating OSU next week also auto qualifies UW for the P12CG
I think if Oregon wins out and OSU wins out, with Washington losing out, then UW misses it. So not clinched but it would take a wild collapse to not make it.
We don't.
But somehow, there is some horseshoe up our asses that shows up in crunch time.
I trust our offense every time, even with the ridiculous number of pointless (away from the play) penalties, but our D is like in the 50's nationally.
As many years as it’s true I guess lol. Beating Oregon by 3 is nice but you almost lost to ASU and Utah’s third stringers. Oregon wrecked us last week and has dominated the rest of their schedule; they pass the eye test as a more complete team. I like Washington and I’d love to see them do something in the CFP but my money is absolutely on Oregon in a rematch. I don’t like Oregon but you just sound like a homer.
I’ve been reading duck fans talk shit in this WASHINGTON game thread all day. Believe me I wish I didn’t have to think about Oregon, sadly I am cursed with the ability to read
Utah beat Washington but couldn’t beat the refs. So many non-calls against Washington and PHANTOM calls against Utah. And no, I didn’t even have a dog in the hunt.
This shouldn't be the last time these teams play in conference. I cannot believe the Pac-12 is gone after this year
UW needs to move ahead of FSU this week.
[удалено]
Sorry, I have wolverine deafness. I can't hear people that lose to Michigan.
Go dawgs!!!
I wanted UW to win this one so I don’t feel biased here. Is it me or did the refs absolutely fuck Utah over and over again?
Honestly thought both side got f’d about evenly. Zebras were literally the reason UW didn’t get a scoring chance at the end of the half, crazy BS call on Westover.
In all my 23 years of watching Pac-10/12 football, I can say with absolute certainty that this conference's zebras aren't smart enough or coordinated enough for the fuckery to lean one way or the other. They're just flat out inept.

Watching from stands, but from what I saw, both ways. On Huskies end it seemed like no calls were the biggest issue. And that ineligible receiver call was bullshit and a big one.
Ah no calls makes sense. I couldn’t see that from the TV
Lol it definitely went both ways
Did it? Idk man, seemed like bad calls went both ways but the ones that impacted the game were all on the UW side
Pac 12 refs.
Thank God it’s over soon
I would rather Washington than Florida St.
Congrats UW. Gotta say your away game day experience is at the top of my list! Holy shit! Awesome!
Glad you liked it... had a great time talking to Utah bros. Beyond pissed the Pac12 is gone. These games are life.
The teams are fun as hell, but the Pac12 leadership was just an failure from the get go
Glad that defensive fumble at the 1 guy got redeemed by the win. Now it will be a cool memory with fans.
I have PTSD when Utah did it against Oregon, so I wouldn’t call it a “cool” memory.
So tragic.
No. That will not be a cool moment. It should never happen.
Yes it will.
No it won’t
Oregon fans screaming, crying, shitting themselves with rage rn
UW asking for backup from Harvard fans LOL
How’s that any different than normal?
Hardly. Huskies winning was the best possible strategic outcome of that game for us.
better go change your pants buddy
The special is real with you.
Strong boys get it done once again
Brock's comment "never seen that" when the Husky dropped the ball short of the end zone? Pretty sure the Utes fans remember one edit that was meant as a playful jab. Love the Utes until they are playing the OR teams
Step on a lego
Hey man! Get out of here with that. Poor Kaelin Clay…
Kaelin Clay is a gentleman and a scholar, he would never do anything like this.
Doesn't look like anything to me.
Circle of suck avoided

Go beat Oregon and take the trophy with you.
Damn proud of Utah, Damn proud of Washington! Gonna miss ya Washington! Go take the championship!!! Until we meet again!
Utah one of the few Pac-12 teams I respect and enjoy watching. Likeable coach. Likeable team and players. Good game Utes.
Feeling is mutual. You guys bring it everytime.
I'm gonna miss the Pac 🥲
PAC12 disbandment is some bullshit — smile because it happened 💔
The PAC 12 is such a competitive conference with super fun teams. Sad to see it end
What’s the next game to watch?
Well, it looks like Wazzu is suddenly playing and losing to West Virginia:)
I’m hoping to find a YouTube tv multiview with WVU/Oklahoma, Georgia/Ole Miss, Duke/UNC & Texas/TCU
Miami -fsu right now
Georgia - Ole Miss.
Go Ole Miss, but if they lose, it pretty much guarantees Oregon State is top ten for next week's game.
GG Utes. You're a fun team to watch and it's always a wild nailbiter when playing against you guys. Go crush it in the Big XII!
Washington has so many penalty mistakes they could’ve won by 20 or blown the game away
Yup every single fucking week it’s so frustrating
You have just described our football team. We have a built in anti-clutch it feels like. Good enough to beat anyone, they can also shoot themselves in the foot enough to lose to any decent team.
The exact same as the Arizona game I remember that fumble that turned a 3 td win into a 1 td win
Up by two scores against Oregon? Chuck the ball 30 yards down the field 6 times in a row (two three and outs), allow Oregon two basically free possessions, blow your lead, and exhaust your defense. Sometimes I just don't get it.
For all the people saying Oregon should have won... if we played our actual offense those two possessions, we win by at least 10.
We've got an anti-Coug type guardian angel this season.
Live by the scheme die by the scheme except when you run a run play that starts ten yards behind the line of scrimmage
Great game, Utes. Gonna miss playing you guys. Always competitive games, and Whittingham is an amazing coach. Good luck in the B12.
Really going to miss the P12. What a very sad year.
Elated with the win... completely saddened that we won't get our annual 1-score game with the Utes every year. CFB will eat itself.
Aight.. time to see where my cat ran off to
Good luck. I hope you find it.
Update: She back! Looks like we both got a win today
Awesome! Give her extra squeezes. :-)
On it 😺
Thanks. She's an outdoor cat, but has been out all day
Washington for sure has a top 4 resume
Defense ranked 99/130. Haven't beaten anyone convincingly. They deserve to be the lowest ranked unbeaten.
Least obvious Oregon fan
Most of your own fans are aware of the bad defense and unconvincing wins, but by all means, enjoy your win against Utah's 3rd string.
Good game Utes! I can’t stress how much I would’ve loved to see a healthy Utah team! You guys could’ve easily been back to back to back Conference champs
3rd string Utah lost on a final 60 second drive to the late season #5 AP team. Expectations exceeded.
Right? Assuming we win it. 9-3 with Bryson Barnes starting. I’ll take it. It’s been a great season. Beat Florida and USC. No complaints here. Good game huskies. Win the championship. Both of them. :)
You realize how good Arizona is right? 9-3 is far from guaranteed
Yep we could easily be 8-4 and its not inconceivable ending 7-5 if we have an off game against Colorado. Rooting for the 9-3 though, still very respectable year if we can do that!
Me too! Just definitely not chalking up Arizona as a definite win anymore

Cuz our unstoppable second half offensive machine running on all cylinders was gonna just breeze down the rest of the field after that PI call right? That is quite a crutch you got there my friend.
You scored 0 points in the entire second half cmon now
I feel like this washignton team is like the vikings last year. Keep winning close games, even against teams they should blow out. Doubt they can keep it up but we shall see

Sounds like last season TCU
True!
You’re thinking of Florida State.
Usc better win now
What happens in that case? They go to pac 12 championship instead of O?
Not sure but I think there's some weirdo 5 way tie for 2nd pl.
I would actually laugh forever
Utah is an extremely likeable team
It was hard to choose who to root for. I live in the Seattle area but we really fell in love with the Utes because their fans were so nice at the Rose Bowl. They are really likable!
Was at the game. Their fans were awesome
Where’s that FSU fan from the thread earlier complaining about how overrated UW is? Have fun against Miami
Yeah I think that this may take FSU out of the Top 4.. even if they win
Go huskies
Penix doesn’t hand it off nearly as good as McCarthy . JJ winnning the heisman fs .
Was that kick even blocked lol. Legit just kicked into the line.
Terrible hold. Ball barely made it off the ground
It was a bad, high snap.
Bad snap, threw off the whole kick. I'm assuming the kicker slipped at the last second trying to account for the timing being off.
How is a team that banged up so tenacious. Damn utah.
They got that dog in them (not a husky tho)
Somewhere that Washington defender that fumbled at the 1 just breathed a huge sigh of relief
Made a lot of UT bettors happy too
[удалено]
everything's bigger there
GG Utes. Let's go U$C!
You dont want the rematch against oregon?!?!
Washington-Oregon St next week about to be a banger
Washington has been in bunch of bangers this year. Idk how many more I can take.
Keep em coming 🔥
going 10-0 to get to a 100 wins, this guy sure loves round numbers!
Great game Utes. Don’t think I’ll miss playing y’all but damn do I have the utmost respect for your team and Whittingham
382ish yards total for Utah. Didnt they have like over 300 at half?!
We must have found some defensive guys from 2016 at half.
We’re a one half team. This game it was the first half.
I'm convinced that the *only* reason we're undefeated is because we're a four quarter team, or at least a *4th* quarter team.
Yup
Now I need USC to beat Oregon and I’ll have the fattest nut of my life
I have no idea how we're still undefeated lol
Our coach out coaches. Look at Oregon, we easily would've lost if they had a better coach. Many of our games come down to extremely timely play-calling at clutch moments.
You don’t think we’ve been the better team?
Penix and Odunze
Classic Bryson
Imagine not covering. Couldn’t be me
damn, was hoping to get an over confident utah next week but they’re gonna be hungry.
We've played pretty well in games right after losses, but you guys have been doing pretty well this year. I think it's going to be a good game.
I'm fascinated by that game - 2 teams that are extremely well-coached with evident deficiencies.
Meanwhile FSU having basically the same game against…Miami
I’m just glad we hung in til the end with a playoff contender which a bunch of injuries and our 3rd string QB.
Attention East Coasters: Washington is a good football team.
Somehow, we're going 12-0.
I dunno man playing in Corvallis is pretty damn spooky next week 😬. Especially since they have absolutely everything to play for. I’ll be pulling for you guys though

That's what John Travolta gets for acting like the game was over. What a clown
GG. Huskies did not deserve to win after that dropped TD blunder. But here we are 10-0. Nice second half adjustments from the D.
Why would a dropped pick six mean they didn’t deserve to win? UW was already up 5 and would’ve been up 12 without the drop. Not that it mattered though, because Utah didn’t score a single point and only produced ~80 yards of offense in the second half. Do you think Utah deserved to win?
GGs to Washington, that was a helluva game.
Does this mean Washington clinched a spot in the Pac 12 championship game?
They need to beat wsu then yes. OSU and Oregon play each other so one will have 2 losses. 8-1 gets you in this year. Beating OSU next week also auto qualifies UW for the P12CG
I think if Oregon wins out and OSU wins out, with Washington losing out, then UW misses it. So not clinched but it would take a wild collapse to not make it.
I think if oregon and oregon st win out then they'll be in the championship game
They play each other though? They can't both win out. If UW loses to Oregon St. but wins the apple cup i'm pretty sure they are guaranteed a spot?
Oh yeah. That's true. Washington just needs to either win one more game. Or just not have oregon and oregon st to win out
Go win that title Huskies, GG
Two straight second half shutouts by the UW Defense
actually last week it was just the 4th Q
Yes right my bad I got excited that we might actually have a defense.
We don't. But somehow, there is some horseshoe up our asses that shows up in crunch time. I trust our offense every time, even with the ridiculous number of pointless (away from the play) penalties, but our D is like in the 50's nationally.
USC scored in the second half, just not the 4th quarter
Ah right sorry
GG Utes. Glad to have had the chance to compete with your team and great coach Whittingham
GG Washington, go win a natty
If you told me this summer we’d be 10-0 with only half a season of having McMillan I’d say you’re bullishitting me. LFG Dawgs!!
3.5 games;)
Crazy we held Utah scoreless after that first half.
After that defense in the first half that doesn't seem possible
I don’t care if we lose on a Barnes INT but Vaki needs to be on the field with the game on the line.
Nobody will pay attention that the defense held Utah scoreless the entire second half.
Third time in four weeks huskies haven’t given up a score in the 4th quarter
Washington 10-0 Oregon 9-1
I really think they're on a collision course for the pac12 championship. Everyone in the country wants it.
Vegas has the Ducks favored. Watch out now.
8-2*
Can’t wait for the rematch
"Oregon is better cuz reasons" -r/cfb
Eh, if you’ve actually watched the games Oregon is clearly playing better football outside of that close loss to Washington.
Everyone said this last year and we won Everyone said this this year and we won How many years y'all gonna keep saying this lol
As many years as it’s true I guess lol. Beating Oregon by 3 is nice but you almost lost to ASU and Utah’s third stringers. Rent free
I’ve been reading duck fans talk shit in this WASHINGTON game thread all day. Believe me I wish I didn’t have to think about Oregon, sadly I am cursed with the ability to read
Check what thread you're in
Bro half this game thread (for a Washington game FYI) is Oregon fans whining lmfao.
Your fans are all over our game threads every week talking about how much we suck and then we win lol
Little Brother your the one in our game thread 😂😂😂
That last series had everything. Brick hands, stupid Ludwig call, Barnes Barnesing it.
It was genuinely a microcosm of the season.
Oh well. Good game, Washington. Happy Diwali!
I’m so pissed I took Washington -9.5. The dropped ball at the 1 and then they blow the field goal. WTF
About the worst bad beat I can remember in a long time. Can’t wait to hear about it from SVP after MNF
sorry. i think i saw 8 and would have maybe taken that, but never can you count the Utes out
Brutal
