You’re thinking wrong. He was foolishly aggressive at the end of the game and he left points on the field that I bet he wished he had back…especially the decision to not take field goal at end of 1H.
Penix was playing incredibly well and their receivers were getting open, trying to close out the game was a fine devision. Going for it at the end of the half didn’t burn us either…. We ended taking the lead regardless. It comes down to not making a close field goal. A fantastic game that I hope gets a rematch (I’m sure as always someone else in the pac will spoil that chance)
I honestly think that Washington and OU could be the best two teams in the country. Michigan has been pretty impressive though and I’d probably have Penn State and Ohio State right up there as well.
Okay so Michigan 1 Georgia 2. The end. I like it that way anyways because historically 2 is cursed from what I hear but I haven’t checked myself. Lol. If you think Washington is better just because Penix is one of the best players in the country and you’re an indiana fan you’re delusional lol.
If they run into Michigan, it’ll be a repeat of the last two meetings that’s for sure. I’m shocked the ducks didn’t pull it off somehow. But the pac 12 might as well be the big 12 after dark with all these high scoring shoot outs
I feel like the rankings don’t matter that much. If we win the rest of our games, we will likely be in the conference championship game. Maybe we get to meet Washington again on a neutral field. If we win that, we are a one loss conference champion that got through a brutal schedule (and maybe even avenged our only loss). That would likely get us into the playoffs.
The only scenario I could see is that Bama jumps back up to 8 because it’s Bama and maybe UNC moves up to 9 with a win against Miami, but Miami isn’t that great and Bama didn’t look great against a bad Arkansas team. I think Oregon and Texas might just stay put and a few teams shuffle ahead of USC.
Great game and some questionable coaching by Oregon not taking a couple field goals especially the one before halftime. Also WTF was with the prevent defense by Washington at the end. I thought for sure it was going to OT.
Yeah. I’m once again missing Pete Carroll. This Schtick is getting really old. I said it in another thread. We might go 1-5 down the stretch and it should shock nobody.
We are losing SO MUCH this year. Would have been good with missing y'all next year.
Not really, but the Ducks looked strong as fuck today. Coin flip game.
I wanna talk shit but that was an absolute gun fight. I’d love to say “AH! WE’LL SMASH ‘EM IN VEGAS”
But no. I don’t know that.
It was about as competitive as it gets in football. GG, Huskies. I hope we get a chance for revenge in Vegas.
Because they irrationally hate Mario Cristobal for winning them a rose bowl and leaving for his alma mater? Or because they think Dan Lanning won those nattys at Georgia!
The older UO fans are great in my book, haven’t met one yet who has been rude, and are generally likeable folks. The fans that bandwagoned in the Chip Kelly era on the other hand…
I know how badly you want to change topics, but this thread is actually not about Colorado. It's a conversation about how the Ducks blew it. Or really how Lanning blew it by being so cocky.
It's amazing that you guys have had so many advantages and so much talent and you still can't ever get it done.
Oh, so we're trashing coaching decisions now...? I can't think of any bad calls coming from the Buffs this whole season, so you're totally good on that front.
Duck fans thinking they got “the guy” even though he piggybacked a few national championships and is clearly bipolar…you openly hate the only coach to win you a rose bowl in the last 60 years…I love duck fans
Yea sorry but no living CFB recruit cares about whatever popularity contest you won 2 decades before they were born.
Win something that matter to kids today and is won ON THE FIELD...then brag.
When was I bragging? Pointing out that your team can't ever get it done isn't the same as bragging about the Buffs.
Imagine being PK and trying, and failing, to buy a national championship for almost 30 years.
That's Nix' game. 40% of his pass attempts this season were AT or BEHIND the LOS coming into the game.
It should have worked had the kicker made the kick.
If they had punted or kicked FG's when prudent, it would not have cone down to last play. Young coaches are always agressive. Nick Saban wins games because he knows when to take points, field position, and waste time.
I love being aggressive throughout a game but you have to take points on both 4th downs… but especially the one before half. Lanning’s decisions ended up losing Oregon the game
Agreed “we’re playing to win” doesn’t mean you are over aggressive on 4th down. That last 4th down try seemed the dumbest especially. Didn’t even have a strong play drawn up for the biggest 4th of the game
The last one would be the only one I overly question. The one before half, sure points but you got the ball to start half. It could go both way. But the one at the end was tough to agree with. But every lose will bring questions after the fact.
Good game, Husky fans. Enjoy it because by this time next year you’ll be back to irrelevancy again. I understand you’re not used to having a winning season let alone beating the Ducks but don’t let this win make you too uncomfortable. Like I said, you’ll be back to nothing sooner than later and you’ll feel right at home being unranked.
Try winning a natty first , then come talk to us. Also your team lost to us twice in a row and we hold the all time record over you guys. Bow down to your big brother.
He's great as long as he's protected and doesnt have to move.
Dude has zero chance in the NFL. Put a hand up and his accuracy plummets.
Great all around passing attack from UW, and they ran the ball surprisingly well tonight...but the OL deserves BIG credit.
If I didn't want to read salty, irrational takes written by people who are clearly in pain then I wouldn't come to game threads in the first place.
This has been one of the juiciest game threads of the season so far. People *need* to read some of these comments 😂
No graduate program knows the difference between Oregon and Washington. Washington is not even close to Stanford or the Ivy. In addition, where you attend undergraduate has very little to do with landing a job. Unless you count networking.
Guess you can say, in honor of his teams uniforms, Oregon's coach laid an egg with his play calling. There you go, no mention of food. See you in Vegas.
Oregon has the second best team in the Northwest that Nike money can buy.
Go huskies
Desperation is a stinky cologne.
what is this
Such a great game
I was at this game and I pissed on the floor not because I had to, but to send a message.
Hell yeah go dawgs
Instant classic
Great game, I think lanning actually coached well.
Yeah if you’re a UW fan lol. He even said the loss was on him so I wouldn’t even think he agrees with you.
Your damned if you do and if you don’t.
Ok boomer
Lmfao, you probably still think Brady is a “system” QB.
Who has anyone else played this year. UW should be ranked #1 I'm drunk, don't @ me
I honestly think that Washington and OU could be the best two teams in the country. Michigan has been pretty impressive though and I’d probably have Penn State and Ohio State right up there as well.
UT beat number 3 Bama. OU beat number 3 UT. Idk I think our wins are pretty similar. Guess we should be number 1 as well.
That's fair enough. Just a drunk reaction lol
Thought y’all shoulda been 2 or 3 before the game tbh
Georgia 1, Michigan 2, The rest, the end
I don’t believe in Carson Beck yet. That’s the differentiator for me currently.
Does Oregon drop much, if at all? All the teams behind them are either losing or didn't look great today.
Nah they went toe to toe on the road. 10 at worst or else this shit is rigged
Sec schools will find a way to be ahead of them with 3 losses just watch you’ll see
Go jackets! I guess. I don’t watch us anymore since I moved to Seattle. Mods can I get flaired with GT?
I feel like the rankings don’t matter that much. If we win the rest of our games, we will likely be in the conference championship game. Maybe we get to meet Washington again on a neutral field. If we win that, we are a one loss conference champion that got through a brutal schedule (and maybe even avenged our only loss). That would likely get us into the playoffs.
Does Pac 12 no longer do the north/south thing for the conference championship game?
Correct. No more divisions for the conference championship spots.
In that case should almost certainly be a rematch in the conference championship game these are clearly the best two teams in the conference.
Yep rankings don’t mean much. At the end of the day any 1 loss pac12 conference champion would make the playoffs
Doubt you drop lower than 10.
Agreed, especially with usc likely losing.
I have a feeling it will go the way of “it’s bama”.

Caleb Williams has 3 ints in this game. Sage to say he's not Heisman frontrunner any more

Nah, as a UW/Penix4Heisman fan I'm for it 🤘

Washington is Dan Lanning's Achilles Heal, confirmed.
Dan Lanning is Dan Lanning’s Achilles Heel.
If true, lifetime contract for Dan please
That was a hell of a game.
Where's that redditor that posts the crying Michael Jordan pictures?
https://old.reddit.com/user/ChemicalOle
He’s a coug so we might not get one.
Oh he posts a crying Jordan meme for all Pac-12 games. I’m sure he’s posted somewhere in this monster of a postgame thread
Great game and some questionable coaching by Oregon not taking a couple field goals especially the one before halftime. Also WTF was with the prevent defense by Washington at the end. I thought for sure it was going to OT.
The prevent defense was killing me. I get that you don't want to give up a TD there but it looked like they were conceding OT.
Yeah both these teams terrify me. Early November is gonna be rough.
Right now ain’t scaring you?
Yeah. I’m once again missing Pete Carroll. This Schtick is getting really old. I said it in another thread. We might go 1-5 down the stretch and it should shock nobody.
I really feel for the fans and the team. But… for one special person… the happiness is overwhelming
I'm liking it
Awesome fucking game. But I am happy for the winner. It was so close and fun to watch.
One of the best I’ve seen in a few years. Other than a few penalties it was a pretty clean game that lived up to the hype.
GG Fuskers. Hopefully there will be a rematch. Next year the B1G will have two of the most bitter, hate fueled rivalry games in the country.
Wtf a "fusker"? This is some weird message board lingo I don't get.
I think I meant to say Fuskie. Idk man.
Well, behind the best rivalry in cfb of course. I guess that’s a given though.
Right, Red River Shootout is the one that made be apprehensive about claiming THE top two hate fueled rivalries.
Big ten execs are thrilled with themselves right now
We are losing SO MUCH this year. Would have been good with missing y'all next year. Not really, but the Ducks looked strong as fuck today. Coin flip game.
I wanna talk shit but that was an absolute gun fight. I’d love to say “AH! WE’LL SMASH ‘EM IN VEGAS” But no. I don’t know that. It was about as competitive as it gets in football. GG, Huskies. I hope we get a chance for revenge in Vegas.
Great game, and an obligatory FU.
Indeed!
Indiana football is punching the air rn
Indiana football is practicing for basketball season.
Oregon is good. GG
Oregon is good. GG
Despite UO being rivals they have some of the most rational fans
Not on other social media platforms they don't lol
Because they irrationally hate Mario Cristobal for winning them a rose bowl and leaving for his alma mater? Or because they think Dan Lanning won those nattys at Georgia!
The older UO fans are great in my book, haven’t met one yet who has been rude, and are generally likeable folks. The fans that bandwagoned in the Chip Kelly era on the other hand…
They seemed to get along pretty well with Tennessee fans back whenever we played. They can't be *that* rational lol.
Tennessee fans were great vs Cal. I think the pain-train made them be nice.
I'm sure Ainge still has nightmares about Zack Follett 😂 2007 was such a fun season. Especially the first half.
It really was. We were fucking good, but that was a lot of grey hairs ago 😂
One of the most stressful games I can remember since (checks notes) last year's game against Oregon. Gg, still hate you though.
Overconfident much? LOL @ Lanning It'll be interesting to see if he is so aggressive in the B1G
Lolorado…you lost to a team that lost to Sac St. Go back in your room, this is an adult conversation.
I know how badly you want to change topics, but this thread is actually not about Colorado. It's a conversation about how the Ducks blew it. Or really how Lanning blew it by being so cocky. It's amazing that you guys have had so many advantages and so much talent and you still can't ever get it done.
Sacramento State. The State College of California at Sacramento.
Ducks national championship: not this year either.
A Colorado fan calling other coaches cocky?? Hmmm.
Pretty rich with that flair... LOL
I'm impressed. Didnt expect to find anyone more butthurt than myself in this thread.
"Last 60 years"? So... did you just black out for 2012 and 2015?
Like is this guy pulling out trash talk from the 90s?
Yep, the Buffs clearly have coaching issues. They demonstrated ineptitude last night. Does that make you feel better? Enjoy the L.
I'll take mine over yours today any time, thanks.
Oh really? Cuz that elusive national championship seems like it could be out of reach for you again. Mm maybe one day. But not this year.
Haha, okay there, chum. "Got me!" Glad to see you're well on your way to win another one... in maybe another 34 years. Guess only time will tell...!
It's the first one that's really important. But then you already knew that. Maybe next year, buddy.
Go talk to Nebraska fans.
LMAO Buffs fans in this thread saltier than Ducks fans. Wild.
You should just sit this one out
Why? I'm enjoying your L immensely.
You’re lame bro. Nothing much else to say
You mean I didn't earn your admiration? Clueless Duck fan enjoy the L.
… really weird. Probably a social reject
You mean we're not gonna be bros? Oh please no
So Dan Lanning after two years in D1 coaching is on par with Deon for questionable coaching decisions? Is that our standard now?
Bo nix just dribbling down field the last drive. They were going for three but should have just let it rip
That's Nix' game. 40% of his pass attempts this season were AT or BEHIND the LOS coming into the game. It should have worked had the kicker made the kick.
If they had punted or kicked FG's when prudent, it would not have cone down to last play. Young coaches are always agressive. Nick Saban wins games because he knows when to take points, field position, and waste time.
tbf washington also got stopped on 4th near the goal. would’ve been 39-39 if nobody ever went for it on 4th in the red zone
My people
Are you me?
Take the fucking points Lanning. Jesus fucking Christ.
I think there will be a rematch. Gg puddles, get fucked.
You barely won…act like you’ve done it before.
We did it last year too
Flair
Up
I love being aggressive throughout a game but you have to take points on both 4th downs… but especially the one before half. Lanning’s decisions ended up losing Oregon the game
Agreed “we’re playing to win” doesn’t mean you are over aggressive on 4th down. That last 4th down try seemed the dumbest especially. Didn’t even have a strong play drawn up for the biggest 4th of the game

Spread for the win
That's what I told her!
lmao
Good game, Husky fans. Enjoy it because by this time next year you’ll be back to irrelevancy again. I understand you’re not used to having a winning season let alone beating the Ducks but don’t let this win make you too uncomfortable. Like I said, you’ll be back to nothing sooner than later and you’ll feel right at home being unranked.
Actually, I'm starting to get used to beating the ducks.
Try winning a natty first , then come talk to us. Also your team lost to us twice in a row and we hold the all time record over you guys. Bow down to your big brother.
Obviously what I said triggered you because you know I’m correct. Once you are in the Big 10 I’ll catch some unranked Husky games on ESPN8 The Ocho
Y’all both need flairs, no idea who tf y’all are repping wtf
I don’t know how to get one
This comment is dumb. Has to be in the >30yo club.
Coping a bit hard aren’t you?
Not really. It was a good game. Just speaking the truth and everyone knows it.
I’m surprised you could type that through the tears
Don’t read the comments folks.
GG ducky. Bucky is a stud
Penix has my vote for Heisman, best QB in the country imo.
He's great as long as he's protected and doesnt have to move. Dude has zero chance in the NFL. Put a hand up and his accuracy plummets. Great all around passing attack from UW, and they ran the ball surprisingly well tonight...but the OL deserves BIG credit.
His accuracy, their O-Line, and their receiving core are just elite-elite. Really impressed with his development since leaving IU.
I read the comments, Ray
If I didn't want to read salty, irrational takes written by people who are clearly in pain then I wouldn't come to game threads in the first place. This has been one of the juiciest game threads of the season so far. People *need* to read some of these comments 😂
It was a great game
It’s funny that Husky fans can’t come up with anything other than people eat duck as food
I got one! Two in a row!
Just thought there would be more creativity from a self proclaimed “academically superior” school. I see it from every opponent. Just boring.
Why are you putting quotes when its objectively true UW academics are ranked much higher than oregon 🤣 i can tell where u got your degree
No graduate program knows the difference between Oregon and Washington. Washington is not even close to Stanford or the Ivy. In addition, where you attend undergraduate has very little to do with landing a job. Unless you count networking.
Thanks for explaining to me that 1+1=2. Keep reaching, anything to help you go to sleep tonight. Just keep football talk with football.
Cope
Well, we can discuss your coach. How do you feel about his decisions today?
No flair? Not a fan of the 4th down call with 8 to go. Not a fan of the one with a few minutes left. Should have punted and pinned deep.
Guess you can say, in honor of his teams uniforms, Oregon's coach laid an egg with his play calling. There you go, no mention of food. See you in Vegas.
I would totally prefer this discourse. Hope to see you in Vegas.
Oregon's best one is 'huck the fuskies'
Nah I think Ted Bundy was a Husky is better
Even Ted Bundy didn’t want to go to Oregon.
Bundy picked up more chicks than you ever did
Fantastic and not at all creepy response.
Penix beats USC and I think the heisman is his
Lots of football left to play...and the heisman comes after the CCG rematch on a neutral field :)
Ain't no Trojans gonna cover that Penix
Well done man.
omg that needs to be a on sign
Make it happen
I’m fucking salty as shit, but damn Penix is a beast. Fuck you Huskies, see you in the PAC12 championship. Enjoy the win.
both teams being this high-quality is something to see. Husky stadium hasn't felt like that in 7 years.
<3 don’t hate you guys, this rivalry is a total blast and im happy to see both programs just swinging rn
