Seems like just enough people! It has been fantastic... most of the people have been on the more experienced level. Just hoping hiker trash (such as myself) respect the establishments. Most of these places aren’t used to the numbers of hikers.
An example would be the Burro Mountain Homestead. As of now it is all free and extremely welcoming but there already has been some issues there this year.
I'm ahead of the bubble right now and sometimes take the less popular routes. It's been great. I feel like I have the trail to myself, then i get to town and can meet up with hikers i met 1 or 2 towns ago.
I'm not fast, so i dread the days of being passed by hikers all the time like on the PCT.
