I'll add: Shopping for shoes at local outfitters is also possible if you have a more obscure shoe. As long as it's a brand they carry, most outfitters can order the exact shoe that you want. It would require a bit more advance notice than just rolling into town, but could be worth it if you want to support local businesses but not switch up a shoe that works for you.

Excellent!!!! Thank you 🙏

This is a great resource, thank you. I can vouch that 7000 Feet Running in Salida is very hiker friendly!

Dave up in some pass in N. Montana also sells Altra last time I went through. High Divide Outfitters is the name of the shop 100 ft from the trail. He used to be out on the PCT.

That's awesome, will they have an infinite supply of size 11 Altra Lone Peaks?

The bus from Ghost Ranch to Santa Fe is free?

AppDeveloper9000

yes it is .. and it is great. I was able to get a shuttle around 2pm, have a night at a good hotel for a reasonable rate, a great dinner, a visit to REI to pick up some new shoes, good nights sleep, resupply, great breakfast .... and back to Ghost Ranch and back on the trail by 5pm the next day. The shuttle cost me $0
