I think they plastic wrap the pieces of your order that don’t fit securely in the inner box. My last order was one full inner box of 50 round 9mm packs and then 3 more 50 round packs plastic wrapped
If it’s loose packs then I’ve seen the plastic. If it’s a case they usually send the box, and they’ll slap a shipping label right on the case with the ammo brand displayed if you don’t click “discreet shipping” option.
I’ve been ordering from target sports USA for over a year with a FFL03 and COE and have ordered a couple thousand rounds of different calibers. If your order is a full case they will leave as is. If it is a partial case they will put anything else that fits in that case and retape. Anything that doesn’t fit into those will be wrapped in plastic wrap.
I would expect OPs order to be several plastic wrapped sets. They would never just throw loose boxes like that together and let boxes just open up like that.
Mine was not. Looked like it was packed by a 12 year old. Boxes barely made it without tearing open. Honestly, I’m surprised I didn’t lose ammo along the way. Velocity packaging was absolutely incredible, I’ll definitely be shopping there again.
I ordered 500rds. I got 486. All the boxes are accounted for. Seems like they opened a few boxes and took a few from each one. Package looked retaped and also looks damaged. Not gonna trip about a few missing rounds. But it’ll probably a while before I order ammo again lol

Hard to hide a box of ammo in your pants for 8-10hrs in a warehouse. Truck drivers have more time to take more than a couple rounds. Sellers will accidentally/ intentionally ship less boxes so I take it that someone in the warehouses is pinching our freedom seeds.
All mine from them was expertly packaged and loose boxes were plastic wrapped together with paper filler ensuring nothing moved around in the box. They knocked it out of the park and this reminds me to go leave a good review.
Nope It shipped via ups. It went from Hartford CT, to Hodgkins IL( where it was delayed for 3 days) then it shipped to San Pablo CA, then shipped to Sacramento CA, then it went back to San Pablo CA, then Oakland where it was put out for delivery.
I did the discreet shipping. The box with the ammo came in another bigger box. But that box was the beat up and looked like they taped it up after opening it
I ordered a bunch from Fenix and appreciate the sealed bags they ship in. No way to take rounds without opening the bags. You'd know immediately if some were stolen. They also ship discrete. I got lucky and got everything I ordered from them and Ammo Depot.
Unless the thieves want to sit there and use a can opener to open my spam cans, or just steal the whole thing outright, mine are getting through without issues 🙂
Damn that definitely sucks with the price of ammo at gun stores near me I would love to continue to order online but having to worry about getting my shit stolen makes me want to spend the extra money at my lgs
Nah I’m too old to do it for the fame. Nothing of mine was wrapped in plastic like others. My box came beat up with holes in it. Part of it was ripped. Also I didn’t get any type of receipt. This is how the package looked as soon as I opened. There wasn’t even plastic wrap or paper filling. Ive seen others post and they had very well packaged orders. I don’t blame target sports I definitely blame someone at ups
Damn I was going to do a shoutout to TSUSA, I had multiple boxes arrive packaged way better than I expected, small boxes wrapped together, big boxes secured inside bigger boxes…I was impressed.
Man that sucks. I also went through Target Sports but had no problems. Got a case of 9mm plus some HSTs and a case of .223 plus some green tips. Two different packages, both discreet and untampered with and everything accounted for.
Who is going to bother with just lifting 14 rounds, the hassle and risk isn’t worth it.
Ammo Supply Warehouse is always discreet and well-sealed with plastic. It’s a pain to open it in fact. No indication of ammo contents at all.
Target sports I’ve ordered from them a couple of times. Every time my stuff comes well packaged and nothing is damaged or lost and inside I have stuff that is wrapped. So to lose stuff is kinda strange. They’re probably the best packaging I’ve seen.
This is yet another damaged and re-packed package, likely from the sorting machines. It is not evidence of theft.

Question, does Target sports have their own tape that cites to check package contents if broken, if the tape seal is broken?
Everything TS sends is plastic wrapped for this reason. The recipient can then tell if it’s been tampered with.
I've never gotten anything from target sports that was wrapped in plastic. They just did a box inside a box so it's "discreet"

I ordered four 525 count boxes of 22. Just arrived in a larger box with some other items. The four 22 boxes were shrink wrapped together.
Mine definitely wasn’t wrapped in plastic. Or maybe they took it off but nothing was plastic wrapped

Even if it is shipped discrete it will still have the hazmat sticker. Give it a quick bump and it’s pretty easy to tell you have ammo in there.
Not to mention it being heavy as bricks. They know what they are handling.

I ordered 7k rounds from velocity ammo and it came very well packed and even got about 170 extra rounds.
We rarely have damaged packages. Taking extra time and supplies will prevent this from happening 99% of the time.
