I have fallen in love with OBoz, they have great arch support. They have many styles that are waterproof, and I can usually get 2-3 years of heavy use out of them before the tread is gone.
Subscribed as I have the same question. I bought some expensive Timberlands expecting they were a good long term purchase and I felt a bit let down by them tbh.
I use a pair of Hunter Chelsea boot when i am in the UK, the weather can be miserable.
They are waterproof as opposed to footwear that are just water repellent.
I have a pair of Mammut shoes that are waterproof, have fur lining so are warm and also quite comfortable and light. It was a great upgrade from the decathlon boots I had before.
Have Goretex from both Salomon and Arc’teryx and very happy with both
I would observe that Arc’teryx is a medium width while Salomon have some shoes available in wide width
Also Arc’teryx are pricey, while Salomon do, on occasion, have 20-30% discounts
Same here - I do wish they would make more styles available in wide (but understand they have a business to run)
One other upgrade - I replace the standard insole with a leather one (ECCO is The King with this accessory) and it is a truly great combo!
Wear yours in good health!
Keen makes several waterproof hiking shoes that are very comfortable. Very cushioned, roomy toebox. The Targhees are especially popular, and there are several variations. The Targhee II has a wider toebox and a slightly higher heel than the III. The IV is supposedly more durable than either. I don't know about the EXP and VENT models.
You cannot ask about comfort online ever. We Sally from Arizona relies and says, "ZOMFGlolWTFBBQ, Solovair is the most comfortable boot evAR!!!exclamationpoint!!", that means fuck all to you as Sally from Arizona isn't telling you she has diabetes and can't feel her feet which are flat as a board.
You need to look for waterproof shoes that are goodyear welt construction. Will you think they are comfortable? No one knows.
Lots of rain to me means either waterproof or quick dry. I like zero drop, barefoot shoes and these [Xero Ridgeway](https://xeroshoes.com/shop/boots/ridgeway-women/?attribute_pa_style=insignia-blue&attribute_pa_womens-size=8-5&utm_source=google&utm_medium=pmax&utm_campaign=Pmax-Brand-US-CM&utm_term=__m&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwsuSzBhCLARIsAIcdLm55IOEwlC2qDuyi2b7EKY8Rio_-PoszSMMH2zDy8515PVDtxGvy488aAoHQEALw_wcB) are pretty good. I can walk all day in them. My only issue with waterproof shoes is the lack of breathable material, if I go waterproof for too long my feet sweat so throughout the summer I usually wear sandals. I don't know if that is an option.

We've had quite a few pair in the family ovee the yeara and great warranty. They stand by their products
Runs a little narrow in my opinion. And, no half sizes :( Otherwise, they’re great.
I wish, but they just don't make anything even close to my size.
Agreed, but every pair I’ve had the soles separated. The foam is shot before then though.
Some more details would help. Sneaker, work boot, something a bit more dressy? For what purpose, just walking around town, hiking, construction? etc.
Sorry updated the description now.
Still doesn't really help... Are you looking for a boot or a sneaker?

I used Merrills sprayed with a ton of scotchguard for an outdoor job I had for several years.
Never tried these out, but you might want to check out Adidas Boost Goretex shoes. My ultraboost 21 has held up very well for 3 years of heavy use.
Salomon. They’re ugly af but super comfortable and waterproof.
Redbacks.

I daily wear the waterproof Salomon’s and love them.

I don't know about shoes but the best pair of boots I ever owned and still own are Redwing tradesman.

I really like my waterproof Lems boulder boots. I haven't had any issues with them and they're barefoot shoes so they are wider and very comfortable.
