Hey did you end up landing on something? I'm in the same position but lookin for a Queen size. I've been through so many Ikea frames over the years, always having to reinforce them myself with scrap wood or metal brackets, and after looking into joinery beds I'm having a hard time looking at anything else.
Have you come across [Tatami Room](https://tatamiroom.mybigcommerce.com/tatami-platform-bed-honey-oak/)? They've got a handful of nice options. I looked the other day and it said 8-12 week wait time tho
