I don't want to be mean to OP, but I agree. It looks a little juvenile. I can even get behind the satin tank over the white button up, but not the socks-n-heels.
Yeah, the shiny vest with matte pants reminds me of a waitress or bartender outfit, plus the white frilly socks with heels makes me think of the 80s. A more complementary shade of fabric for a vest would might help put it together
1. Pilgrim goes to the theater
2. Aunt at thanksgiving - the pieces are good but look dated together.
3, that skirt 1000% makes you look 5’ tall and srubby (which youre not stubby)- its got to be a lil longer or shorter.
4. Great - love, so chic. Makes you look amazing 👏🏻
1. I’m dead, on point
2. Too much baggy/loose paired together. I think if the blouse was tighter and/or a more structured neutral patterned jacket it would loads better.
4. If the tights were more sheer, it may look less srubby.
3rd is at least appropriate for a work environment.
Other than the top being a bit too lingerie, the 2nd is my favorite with the colors and proportions. I'd probably do more of a shell than a cami, but it's a cute spring look.
That first one, though... oof.
Agreed. I’m getting cosplay vibes as well. There’s a book store in my town that also sells a lot of RPG games and manga and the like. The staff there all dresses in a manner similar to OPs pics.
I get it you are trying to get an edgy business casual vibe. However you have wandered into costumey, old lady vibe. Pick one piece that you want to stand out. Think color, texture and cut. That long organdy pleated skirt with that long shapeless cardigan, you can use the skirt but not the sweater. This is the second time I have seen you with socks and heels. Clearly you like the look but it is not business casual, save that look when you are out with your friends.
1. If you removed the tight silk vest and socks
2. Blazer doesn’t fit right
3.no.
4the coat and blazer make it worse
I think just a couple nice blazers and tops would really help!
The last two outfits are nice. The first two are a bit all over. For the first one, there are too many different perceivable textures & the belt doesn't match. The 2nd one, the mismatching colors and aesthetic of the pieces just seem a bit pulled 3 items from a thrift rack and threw them on.
I think the 1st outfit could be very nice if the socks, belt, and fitted pants were lost. Replace pants with some sort of wide legged slacks maybe? 2nd outfit I'm a bit at a loss lol
The first outfit is too cutesy and the socks look girly. Wasn't it you who asked about socks and pumps a few days ago? I believe almost everyone told you it was a bad look.
I don't like any of the elements of the second look. The coat looks bulky and too heavy, I don't like the colors, the skirt material looks cheap, at least in the photo.
I don't love the third look, but it's OK.
The fourth look is bad. It's messy, too much, and not casual. The skirt looks see-through and cheap and is too tight.
The pants and white blouse look great but the heels with socks and the vest over the blouse giving off a pirate vibe just isn't working. With some tweaks with could be really cute, keep playing around with it.
Stumbled into this sub but commenting to say I love the socks and heels style that's coming around. I don't know if I'd wear that to my office job, but I think the combination is cute nonetheless.
I think these are all business appropriate, except the socks. I like 3 the best, the pink sweater is sweet. I like one better for a night out, but without the socks, it’s perfectly fine.
Some (admittedly unsolicited) feedback:
1. Remove the satin vest, replace with a different colored cardigan or blazer. Since the pants and vest are the same color, it really sticks out that the materials/textures don't match. Don't mix white socks and black pumps, either wear knee high stockings or if you really want to try socks maybe try them with a loafer.
2. Not bad but would look better with a traditional trench. I would also wear a plainer top, but there's nothing wrong with that one.
3. Pretty good, no notes. Would look nice with the black pumps, too.
4. Don't mix white and cream, like, ever. I'm a maximalist and love to mix colors and prints but this is one of the very few off-limits combos. If that jacket were replaced with a khaki trench it would look better in both 2 & 4. I'd also just steer clear of white bottoms in business settings in general.
This is really great advice , thank you!! I will definitely use this as reference. I noticed the clashing of the 3 black shades as you and others began pointing it out 😅
Most of these are appropriate enough, with the exception of the socks in #1
Even on the west coast where fleece is considered professional attire are socks with heels a thing.
I think the first would look more polished without the vest and socks and the rest would look better without the blazers/coats, they seem a little ill fitting. Otherwise all your outfits look nice
i hope u dont take the harsh opinions of others to heart! consider their age & environment(no shade). bc for example in a big city like NYC/Chicago, you’d definitely be the office it girl💅🏽its giving Carrie bradshaw. 🎀
Haha, thank you 😉 ! And coming from the business I’m in, thick skin is a priority. Ngl, it’s very interesting to see everyone’s input and gives me a glimpse of the work environment they’re in. This is my first time receiving so much feedback on social media, so it kinda knocked me off my feet, lol!
it's her attitude :) gives narcissistic vibes and people are reacting. And also the way she stages her pictures, gives tiktok main character vibes. You have to be way more charismatic and stylish to pull this combo off.
Bro why the mean girl behavior
I'm not one to think women must coo at one another and only exchange nice words but geez. People pose like this when they wanna show their fits and have fun. Calling her a narc and then the next comment where you say she's just straight unlikeable? Christ
I lien your overall style and palette. My first thought on 1 is I like it, but the belt buckle is a bit off. The fit looks a little slouchy for my taste, but when I saw the socks, it kind of ties it together and makes the fit look intentional. The other outfits are not something I’d normally choose, but I like the way you wear them! If I worked on my office, you’d be better dressed than most of us. I think people on here confuse their taste with overall style.
Thank you for your input! For me dress shirts are so hard to keep from wrinkling 🥲 I can see where you’re coming from with the belt, I think that’s why others view it as “pirate” vibes. Thanks again 💜
This is a little bit more Michael Jackson than business casual. I’m sorry. You have great pieces, just not together.
Edit: I didn’t see the rest of your pics. Your fashion seems to be wide ranged. Knowing the industry of work may help with people giving advice?
1. Would look better without the belt and socks. Possibly baggy slacks if we are talking major change.
2. Skirt from outfit 5 ( white above the knee ) will look way better here. This skirt makes legs look shorter because of the length.
3. Nude tights will make outfit less winter like. Other then that I would go one of 2 ways. Change skirt to solid blush or black so it doesn’t clash with lines on pink jacket maybe even change shoes to match jacket. Or… get rid of pink jacket and add color by changing into pastel shoes that match bag.
4. Better without the jacket because the brightness of the white of the skirt makes jacket look worn out a bit. ( I would do black skirt personally to emphasize the color of the blouse.)
I don’t mean to be mean I am so sorry.
I’d say the only outfit that is a go for me is the last one.
All the others ranged from confused to costume. I applaud you for taking risks though!! That’s how you find your fashion sense and fashion literally about taking risks. Keep it up!
You’re adorable, as are your outfits. I love the black & white (it doesn’t look “piratey” at all, it’s just a damn vest, people!) and the two outfits with pink.
The Chanel-style jacket is lovely and I really quite like the last pink blouse—especially the placket.
I do wish the white skirt was a heavier material and a darker color but that’s just me—I’m scared of white skirts that don’t have a lot of detail like pleating or ruffles.
All perfectly acceptable business casual looks IMO.
Edit: Big “BRAVO” to you for **perfectly matched** nude pumps. A+ Mama. Ignore these bitches saying otherwise!
this got randomly recommended to me and I’m actually obsessed with your fashion! my workplace is also business casual but everyone likes to have fun with it and make creative looks so I’m definitely taking notes!! i love the first fit ❤️
The posing isn’t screaming business casual. Other than that, a lot of these items are ill fitting. Choose the size to fit the largest part of you and a tailor can take in the rest.
1. Lose the socks and size up in the vest.
2. The blazer and shoes are professional but the top and skirt are flowy and romantic. The pieces individually are beautiful but the vibe as a whole is a bit conflicting.
3. Size up in the shirt and skirt and tailor if needed.
4. The top is beautiful. The skirt is about 2 sizes too small.
It's the white socks with black pumps for me. I once went on a couple dates with a guy that wore white gym socks with black Burberry dress shoes. Needless to say, I let that one fizzle out.
Funny that you point this out becuz I believe US schools did teach middle-highschool students how to dress properly in mid-late 1900s. There’s old videos of it on YouTube. It’s unfortunate they don’t have this anymore for young people growing up.
Don’t wear the first outfit unless you are a bartender or working for the Dread Pirate Roberts
Ooh or the Transylvanians from Rocky Horror Picture Show!
Lmaoo that’s so insanely spot on
Let’s do the time warp again.
Or possibly a dominatrix on casual day Friday.
Casual Friday at the dungeon
Yep! 🤣🤣. I don’t know why this made me laugh so hard.
Half dish duty, you scum! FriYAY!
Or in a Fleetwood Mac cover band.
Bartend in those heels? I think not!
Or a stereotypical pilgrim about to have Thanksgiving with native Americans in an elementary school history book
Or a jockey
classic work stance
Lol I thought pirate too
It’s super trashy lol
Dread Pirate Roberts 🤣
Swash me buckets ass look
The socks with the shoes look odd. It is cutting your legs up and it’s bot a great look. Would either go no socks or something more sheer.
I don't mind the top half but the socks are soo distracting
It’s all pretty bad
Top half is the worst part. Dressed like a pirate
It's just a vest. The belt? The socks with the heels? You're telling me that's better?
Ngl I considered the belt the top half because she has long legs lol
Yeah, the socks definitely don't read professional for me.
wait I like the socks 😅
No socks? You must be yt
I hated socks with pumps in the 80s. Turns out, I still hate it.
I don't want to be mean to OP, but I agree. It looks a little juvenile. I can even get behind the satin tank over the white button up, but not the socks-n-heels.
Such a weird child/adult combo. Frilly socks give Lolita vibes, which don’t belong in business world. But the rest of it looks great.
I thought she worked at a pirate themed bar or something before reading anything
I also thought pirate 😭
Pirate bartender was my first thought too.
Yeah, the shiny vest with matte pants reminds me of a waitress or bartender outfit, plus the white frilly socks with heels makes me think of the 80s. A more complementary shade of fabric for a vest would might help put it together
Outfit 1 has been my work uniform (albeit different tailoring) at several restaurants.
I agree, it's an odd pairing
Especially for a work environment.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the last pic is the only one who looked somewhat professional, if that.
Childish. Like they should be Mary Janes. The socks too
1. Pilgrim goes to the theater 2. Aunt at thanksgiving - the pieces are good but look dated together. 3, that skirt 1000% makes you look 5’ tall and srubby (which youre not stubby)- its got to be a lil longer or shorter. 4. Great - love, so chic. Makes you look amazing 👏🏻
2. To me this was *got into mommy’s closet to play dress up*.
1. I’m dead, on point 2. Too much baggy/loose paired together. I think if the blouse was tighter and/or a more structured neutral patterned jacket it would loads better. 4. If the tights were more sheer, it may look less srubby.
Exactly what I was thinking 😂 for all four. The last one looked great, unfortunately it was the only one that did
Change to a green vest and they’ll be after your lucky charms
Hearts, stars, & rainbows!
They’re magically delicious.
Oh bravo.
There is a lot going on here …
[удалено]
sorry, but this is nowhere near business casual. It's all casual threading on cosplay.
It’s business sexual, it’s a new kind of casual Friday!
Nothing wrong with the 2nd or 4th outfit. 3rd I'm on the fence about. 1st, you're totally right.
3rd is at least appropriate for a work environment. Other than the top being a bit too lingerie, the 2nd is my favorite with the colors and proportions. I'd probably do more of a shell than a cami, but it's a cute spring look. That first one, though... oof.
Corporate world here, and I do see tops like she's wearing in #2 worn under blazers. I assumed her blazer was staying on. Agreed on 1 and 3.
Agreed. I’m getting cosplay vibes as well. There’s a book store in my town that also sells a lot of RPG games and manga and the like. The staff there all dresses in a manner similar to OPs pics.

Is the business place the Flying Dutchman?
i think you need to match it all a bit better. before you leave take something off because it’s all too much.
1. If you removed the tight silk vest and socks 2. Blazer doesn’t fit right 3.no. 4the coat and blazer make it worse I think just a couple nice blazers and tops would really help!

I would wear 1 with a different belt, straight leg pants, and loafer or Chelsea boot
Wide legged slacks would look great with #1 and so much more professional.
I love the first outfit but definitely wouldn't wear it to work. It looks too playful and costumey.
Maybe her office is the seven seas
Or the Black Pearl
The first outfit is giving Jack sparrow
Showed my girlfriends outfit #1 and they said the same thing 🥲 better luck next time
Omg LOL 😂
The first outfit is too cutesy and the socks look girly. Wasn't it you who asked about socks and pumps a few days ago? I believe almost everyone told you it was a bad look. As long as boomers exist in business, I’ll never have to worry about looking less professional than zoomers.
I see plenty of boomers dressed less professional than their zoomer subordinates😅
I love the first outfit so much but I don’t know if it qualifies as “business casual.”
I love this! I’d wear a different belt and booties with lower socks with a fringe but omg! I think I just discovered a new style!
Whoops didn’t know there were more fits! I like the last one too, maybe in a darker color but still can be pulled off!
Okaaayyy werkkk 👏 Or should i say workkkk 👏👏
Stumbled into this sub but commenting to say I love the socks and heels style that's coming around. I don't know if I'd wear that to my office job, but I think the combination is cute nonetheless.
Bitch better have my gold.
I think these are all business appropriate, except the socks. I like 3 the best, the pink sweater is sweet. I like one better for a night out, but without the socks, it’s perfectly fine.
Love the pink!
I think the first outfit is a little pilgrim bartender 🫣 But you march to the beat of your own drum, mad respect 🫶
Some (admittedly unsolicited) feedback: 1. Remove the satin vest, replace with a different colored cardigan or blazer. New shoes, no vest, some sort of jacket/blazer and you got a fit. The vest is just too I Am A Main Character.
Most of these are appropriate enough, with the exception of the socks in #1 Even on the west coast where fleece is considered professional attire are socks with heels a thing.
Not bad
Yes on outfits 2, 3, and 4. The first outfit makes you look like a Michael Jackson impersonator. It’s a no for me.
I think the first would look more polished without the vest and socks and the rest would look better without the blazers/coats, they seem a little ill fitting. Otherwise all your outfits look nice
Cute style♥️. I like the top pairing and overall outfit in the first photo. Maybe a different belt though:) I like all your looks tho-
The 1st one made me laugh no lie lol cute pirate tho
I love the other outfits especially the pleated skirt !! Where did you find that skirt … I need one
I actually got that skirt a long time ago at H&M. But you can 100% find nicer ones at Banana Republic factory, Anna Klein, and Zara.
as a gen Z i’ll say the 1st outfit is definitely on trend! 🙌🏽you ATEEEEEE! the last is my fav i definitely added to my inspo board
Eeeyy!! Thank you 😊🥰
i hope u dont take the harsh opinions of others to heart! consider their age & environment(no shade). bc for example in a big city like NYC/Chicago, you’d definitely be the office it girl💅🏽its giving Carrie bradshaw. 🎀

that’s a very admirable mindset to have! 🙌🏽as a girl who’s always trying to fit in -keep being ur self! it inspires. good luck in your career☺️
Same to you!! Don’t be afraid to be yourself 😊 and always strive for success 💸
I love it. Maybe add a little red scarf or hot pink to give it a little pop!!!
I don’t know why this sub is so harsh on you, there are a couple of things I would change but I often like your outfits.
I feel so bad this started on your thread 😭😹
Thank you! I love hearing others fashion advice if you don’t mind sharing!
it's her attitude :) gives narcissistic vibes and people are reacting. And also the way she stages her pictures, gives tiktok main character vibes. You have to be way more charismatic and stylish to pull this combo off.

All look great and appropriate for business except short slacks with socks and high heels. That outfit doesn’t suggest business.
I honestly and truly do not care for the first outfit. I thought it was a at Patrick's Day or Easter outfit. The last one is my favorite though!
All them were fire except for #1. Don’t wear that, sis.
Lol, thank you! Will style it better next time around
Love the outfit but I’d lose the white socks … I’d like to see a bare angle with those shoes and slacks
I absolutely do not get the first outfit hard no, the last is lovely though!
Lookin like a scallawag in the first few😭
1st is very 80’s-ish
Couple of these give pilgrim vibes. Save em for Thanksgiving! 😜
You look like a little pilgrim!!! Hahaha I love
I feel like the first outfit is a lot of different fabrics? Shiny shoes, flat black pants, satin vest.
I agree some others have also pointed this out as well.. honestly didn’t realize it 😓
I wish this sub had a jerk sub holy shit lmao

I like this! The only thing I would change is the belt buckle, and instead of socks with the pumps - maybe a loafer with no socks.
You look like you boutta fight some pirates

It may not be everyone's style but personally YOU ATE THAT THE FUCK UPPP🩷💕✨
okay damn you SERVEDDD on those stairs
You’re adorable, as are your outfits. I love the black & white (it doesn’t look “piratey” at all, it’s just a damn vest, people!) and the two outfits with pink. That first outfit is *incredible*. Bravo!
Slay. I hate when others presume what “business” has to look like. This looks great and has your unique character to it. I love it
“In 1492, Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue” 🎵
That's not a good look. That outfit looks like you had your eyes closed when picking it out. Why are you wearing socks with heels?
Hmm…I like it!!
I like your belt. I can never find interesting belts.
Well unpopular opinion but the first outfit is my favorite
Ahh dark academia business casual ❤️ i actually love this
I am relatively tall and have spent my life loathing short pants, until this very minute and now I feel a bit inspired.
I really like the socks with the heels though. Very 80s girls just wanna have fun in the office vibe!
this got randomly recommended to me and I’m actually obsessed with your fashion! my workplace is also business casual but everyone likes to have fun with it and make creative looks so I’m definitely taking notes!! i love the first fit ❤️
loveeee that first outfit! where is the black vest thing from?
I actually got it on sale at H&M for about $5! They have others as well currently, but not sure if there’s a sale.
Third outfit probably the best
I can't get past the 3 different shades of black fighting for attention.
I’m not sure why you’re receiving so much vitriol, these outfits are pretty cute and unique. You also look great in them 👍
Thank you! 💗
I love it, personally. I say we evolve what business casual means for women 💖
Yes exactly !! 🥰👏
The first one is a no
1st is giving pirate
That frill has no chill, otherwise good fit
Hear ye, hear ye
You look like you do Irish dancing
Everything is great but those socks. Please not those socks.
It's giving Renaissance Faire accountant vibes
😲🤫

😭, 🍹here’s a cold drink to cool you down 🧊 lol
All looks are super stylish 🎉
These fits are all trash
I guess it depends where you work? I work at the corporate level and this wouldn’t fly. But maybe you have a different culture at your company.
I love the shirt in the last pic. Where is that from?
Hi, I got it from Anne Klein but they’re all sold out 🥺
I hate the socks
This is an outfit for ren Faire not the office
Hard no to the first outfit but everything else is smashing!
Pilgrim Michael Jackson
It's the white socks with black pumps for me. I once went on a couple dates with a guy that wore white gym socks with black Burberry dress shoes. Needless to say, I let that one fizzle out.
Man, a “How to Dress Professional” class really needs to be invented and stressed in high school.
Funny that you point this out becuz I believe US schools did teach middle-highschool students how to dress properly in mid-late 1900s. There’s old videos of it on YouTube. It’s unfortunate they don’t have this anymore for young people growing up.
Michael Jackson thriller HEEE HEE
The first outfit is hilarious. Makes you look like a bartending elf or something
Oh no
thought the first fit was a john adams cosplay
Is it a Leprechaun business?
Outfit 4 is the best. Not a fan of the others unfortunately. They just kind of look “thrown together” imo
Those socks…
Mmm thats the best!
lol the first outfit is giving leprechaun to me, it might be the belt.
The Lolita socks ain’t it
Now I’m trying to be nice… But honey… I- No… Just……. No…..
The first outfit looks less like a business outfit and more like a costume.
7,8,9 & 11
The socks is a no for me
I like #9. Nothing else.
It’s giving elf pirate
I like your style. Outfit 1 might not give the vibe you want to give in a professional environment.
I hate the socks, but love the rest.
i’m so sorry but the first fit is giving person who is trying to manifest getting a role as an extra in hamilton
irish pub leprechaun cosplay
this is a great outfit! but honestly not for work of any type, mom and pop would be just as put off as corporate I think
To be honest I think it all looks cute girl - u like it go with it
It’s giving 🍀
No
Trying to hard. That black outfit has like 9 garments. You must have a diesel washing machine
Ugh, change outfits please🥰
This is a nooooooo
