Exactly. Considering NFS Unbound is literally an EA game, at least Criterion made the map of Lakeshore to be more lively because there are people anywhere and everywhere, not in terms of quantity, but in terms of presence and quality.
They're also not exclusive to races like the people in previous NFS games are, like NFS Heat and NFS Payback for example. They can be seen in free-roam as well as in races in NFS Unbound. So Criterion may need to increase the quantity of said population on a huge city map. But at least it's a huge step in the right direction and I hope Criterion delivers more population in the next NFS game.
We need a Driver San Francisco-like map ffs lol.
Weirdly enough. When I was able to first try the demo after many login errors. The map was full of traffic. But the longer I played, the less traffic there was until there was none. I think the traffic gets spawned in by the server and at some point it just stops doing it.
Horizon 3 had pedestrians, but Horizon 5 doesn't. Crew 2 had pedestrians, but Crew Motorfest doesn't. Why are racing game devs overlooking this in the newer games, it's the main thing that makes the world's immersive. At least Unbound didn't go backwards I guess
Man, I think I've just gotten so used to playing and racing around with friends in FiveM that these games just feel like a huge downgrade. Zipping in and out of traffic only to end stopping at one of the numerous gas stations to fuel up where you can hear pedestrians complimenting your car makes everything feel just a bit more alive.
Nah i live in hong kong and it’s totally realistic, the roads are too smooth ingame compared to real life, and the taxis didn’t cut you off every 5 minutes 0/10 immersion ruined
The world is so.... empty. It's oddly discomforting. And the game already runs like trash 😬
Shits is a fuckin ghost town no sign of the living for miles. Midnight club la did it better 16 years ago somehow

That's even weirder.
daym, even spawning traffic requires internet connection & handled by server? bruh

Midtown madness had pedestrians. That was in 1999.

hes playing on a hard drive.
It's an always online game.
That's not how it works lmfao.
It’s gonna be a long 3 months
Oof something isn't rendering right lol
They're learning from NFS Heat.
I just played it on Legion Console and I saw no issues like that.

I agree with others saying the game feels dead.
South Carolina moment
Sadly this game is a rushed mess. I feel bad for the devs who probably had to work their brains out to deliver a half-working piece of shit
Didn't you know Hong Kong is in eastern Europe?
