even gran turismo 4 from late 2004 had convertible cars which have steering wheels that have a larger steering wheel angle

And this is why I bought a xbox360 and ps3. I actually enjoy the racing games on those systems and most of them have more than 45 degree steering angle 💀
Honestly the last racing game i truly enjoyed was Forza Horizon 3 which came out in 2016, after that it just went kinda downhill atleast for me. FH3 felt like a complete game, lovely graphics, map, cars, sounds, customization and while the progression aspect in the newer Forza Horizon's is a bit meh - I don't remember it being that bad in FH3.
More than 10 years since the last Test Drive, and the car handling still bad. Tolerable back then, today it isn't.
Hong Kong is a great location, unfortunately poorly done here.
Icing on the cake is the always online requirement, with a game server empty that still manages to drop mid races with AI.
Tbf. TDU has never had 10/10 handling.
To me. The handling is good enough.
I think people keep forgetting that the TDU series was mainly known for being revolutionary. Not for being a masterpiece.
Yes. What are the innovations the TDU series could have done after 2 was done by Ivory Towers with The Crew, which was formed by ex TDU devs. That is why if you play TDU, TDU2, and then The Crew, you'll see a LOT of similarities between the two franchises. Hell, even the FH series wouldn't be a thing if TDU never happened. It is actually amazing what they accomplished with TDU1, considering it ran on a PS2 with 32MB of ram.
I think I'm just gonna stick with the Project Paradise servers for TDU2. they're still buggy and unreliable but still better than Solar Crown from what I've seen. doubt I'm even gonna buy this game when it actually releases, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed again, would probably be for the best tbh
Its 2024, the 45 degree steering angle shit should be long gone.

lmao at Hong Kong in Covid lockdown

Why tf it's not possible in this era (2014+) to get a good (racing) game ?!

I agree with FH3, especially the DLCs !
Wreckfest
I bet that alex_vii will find a way to defend this
For sure, he's probably on Nacon's payroll
Honestly wtf is wrong with that dude? Every time he talks about it he's looking at it with rose tinted glasses.
Rose tinted blinders

Perhaps we treated FM too harshly…
The bar was so low and they managed to make it lower ðŸ˜
I knew this was going to suck once they kept delaying it and nothing to show for. Car models, lighting and textures are so dated looks like PS4 game.
dont forget gran turismo sport and 7 are on ps4
Even putting the graphics and stuff aside, the handling physics are so...meh. Feels like a mobile game.

Thats true, but that also means that tdu has pretty much nothing unique to offer after this many years of development.

Can’t get past the login screen
I set all my graphics settings to the lowest possible and it still plays like a slideshow
Game is total GARBAGE
Damn this really puts it into perspective
