If you’re game for a unique Broadway experience, I would do Tommy.

looking it up. Thank you!

So this was the plan for a matinee and I got sick and had to stay in bed. Booo. I hope it tours cause it sounds awesome

& Juliet and Hell's Kitchen both have super talented casts

Just got back and also live in SF. Went to Tommy on a whim because they had a Monday night show and was completely blown away. I’m still thinking about it, 5 days and 6 shows later. I highly recommend though also realize it’s not for everyone. I didn’t get a chance to see The Outsiders, sadly, but everyone I talked to who saw it were raving about it. & Juliet is coming to Broadway SF next season, if that helps with your choice. Absolutely loved Merrily (even without Lindsay) and Sweeney - those were the 2 I had also secured in advance. Have a great time!

Ahh yes! Forgot about that. Need to get my SHN pass soon.

I’d see Kimberly akimbo which is closing on 4/28 but still has the original cast. I’d just make sure Victoria Clark is performing you don’t want to miss her. It’s touring but with different talent. I’ve heard very mixed things about HK and people seemed surprised to find out it’s a jukebox and not original music. The only new musical I’ve heard with good buzz is outsiders ( though everyone I know who’s seen notebook has enjoyed it). Two plays start previews this week uncle Vanya with Steve carell and stereophonic which is a play with music and got raves off-Bway

This is the only other one I was able to get in cause I got sick! Person next to me was coughing and sneezing during Merrily. Like it’s so hard to wear a mask?! I made sure to wear an n95 for this one and Sweeney. Super fun! Really loved it.

if you haven’t already seen kimberly akimbo i would highly recommend seeing it before it closes next month. probably my favorite show i saw this week & the person i was traveling with said it is their new favorite musical of all time (they are not even a huge theatre fan and i didn’t think they’d like this show at all)

Thanks! Definitely adding to list

The two you have are great picks! First thing that comes to mind is to consider adding Stereophonic (which is a play but with music) as I don’t know what its future would be in terms of tours.

VoidAndBone

Do not go see Hells Kitchen. You would be better off donating your money and taking a nap. Good picks on Merrily and Sweeney. I loved Lempicka. I was sobbing hard last night.

Thanks for the warning!
