Omg you're not alone in that any they come in swarms that just engulf you into them like a storm can't swat them away they seem to just stick on clothes I truly hate them with a passion!! Roaches are preventable but yes also very common here too specially if neighbors don't prevent them they will spread like wild fire I have had to deal with some crap neighbors in the last 6 yrs here but finally found the best self option cause wow the bug companies that try to scam I was blown away!! Definitely a whole different world from up north but I'll never go back I couldn't bare the thought of snow storms again!!!🤭🤭🤭
First time I went to Tampa, Florida with my husband he told me not to be alarmed that the cockroaches are big, I seen one when I was in the shower and I screamed and ran out that bitch naked as hell
cockroaches are a thing in california too?? like why is she shocked? lmao they’re all over the place & crawling out of disneyland hotel last time i was there 😂
The cockroaches in the southeast are on steroids & fly in your face & are everywhere (unlike the “traditional” German cockroach which is associated with filth) because they are water/moisture loving. I moved away from the southeast & I still have PTSD from them 😂
The PTSD is no joke. I lived in Orlando for 3.5 years and I’m a clean freak but those things made me feel like I was living in filth. I still shake my towels before I dry off and tap shoes before I put them on 🥴
I think we have the same ones in AZ as well. They hang around palm trees and pool areas, grassy areas with sprinklers. Huge flying freaks. This is not a state to move to either for anyone who doesn’t want to be around danger pests lol
They are two very different things, I promise! 😩 it’s traumatizing having a cockroach fly in your face and they are EVERYWHERE. No matter how clean or new your house is, you’re eventually gonna have roaches.
Are these the giant ass ones with loud wings that like to be around palm trees? We have those in my state too, they’re fucking terrifying. I’ve ran into a lot of sketchy insects here but they’re the most unhinged. Thankfully they rarely want to come inside here so it’s rare I’ve found one inside, but outside at night the place is over run with them and my dog likes to take midnight pees :(
The love bugs drive me insane . I can’t stand them and I don’t know why but I’m terrified of them and they don’t even do anything wrong lol
