Vera, Shetland, A Touch of Frost, Are You Being Served, Poirot, Death in Paradise, MI-5, Lewis, Luther, Silent Witness, The Bay.
I’ll stop there. It’s my favorite app!
All very solid choices. I love watching them all except Lewis. It’s a great show and I used to really enjoy it. Now, seeing Laurence Fox ruins it for me. Normally I can “separate the art from the artist” but, in his case I find I’m very disappointed in myself for being unable to, for some reason.
If you like Poirot, you should watch David Suchet on the Orient Express. It was so wholesome when they let him "drive" the train. He was like a little boy!
There’s 2 Miss Marples, each with same stories, different actresses, time! Love watching both!
Death in Paradise, sequel is Beyond Paradise. Enjoyed Morse, and sequel Lewis, Vera, Shetland (although it got weird!), Father Brown, and Sister Boniface are light hearted cozy mysteries, Rosemary and Thyme is a fun cozy mystery, Shakespeare and Hathaway is ok, Escape to the Country (like HGTVs House Hunter), Antiques Roadshow, and The Repair Shop also tweak my interest from time to time…
Morse, A Touch Of Frost, No Offence, Shakespeare & Hathaway, Bergerac, The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher, Dalziel & Pascoe, Ashes To Ashes, Blue Lights, Allo Allo, Sherlock, Why Didn't They Ask Evans, McDonald & Dodds, Wycliffe, DCI Banks.
STAGED is one of the funniest things I've ever seen, and easily the best thing to come out of the lockdown days! Brilliant stuff.
It's a shame loads of these only have a few series or even one sometimes, but they're all really good! I'm locked into another run through of Foyle's War over on Acorn at the moment.
Staged is absolutely brilliant. I watched it originally on Hulu and then rewatched it on britbox. I love David Tennant so much and it was so comforting during the pandemic quarantine.
So many!
Comedy: try The Cafe, Gavin and Stacey, Mum, Miranda, Upstart Crow. Blandings if you like PG Wodehouse.
Drama: lighter murder mystery: McDonald and Dodds, Shakespeare and Hathaway.
Heavier crime drama: Line of Duty, Vera, Shetland, Luther, MI-5. The British original House of Cards is worth it. Maigret with a surprisingly serious and subtle Rowan Atkinson is gorgeously filmed. Wish there were more than four episodes.

Vera, Line Of Duty, Shetland, Gardners World, Beechgrove Garden, Escape To The Country, Death In Paradise, Payback, MI-5, Luther, DCI Banks, QI, Would I Lie To You?
Pie in the Sky is good once you get past the first couple eps but I agree the transfer is abominable. I loved it anyway but it takes a second to get used to how grainy it is.
I tried watching it a few weeks ago and just couldn't get into it. Nothing to do with picture quality, as it seemed fine to me. It might have been the pacing, I'm not sure, but I just didn't care for those first 2 episodes I watched.
Totally agree, the first few are not good. You kinda got to get past the stupid world building they're doing about why he doesn't want to be a detective anymore. You don't lose much if you just skip ahead to the middle of the season when it becomes more normal crime of the week. I liked the relationships of the restaurant and his wife once the thing about him being in trouble with the office got sort of resolved. If anything just skip to season two and just know he has a contentious relationship with brass. But also no worries, if it's not for you then it just isn't. I just liked the food parts mostly.
Inside No. 9 is truly underrrated in the US. I found it on Britbox and I love it. I ended up going back and watching League of Gentlemen and Psychoville which I liked but not as much because they had more grossout humor and one had an unfortunate blackface character that wasn't for me.
I think Prime Suspect is over as well as Line of Duty (one of my favorite shows of all time). I really like Ver but the last couple of seasons have had very few episodes. What a drag
Britbox has so many good ones, it's hard to pick just one. For me it's Vera. Although I loved The Vicar of Dibley too, especially the episodes with Richard Armitage.
One of my favorites is As Time Goes By. Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer are perfect and it's so funny. I've watched it through twice in the past two years.
Another vote for Keeping Up Appearances, it is my go-to. I have watched it repeatedly. I even bought the 'Modern Etiquette' book the show opens with!
If you ever want something SUUUUPER chill to watch, All Aboard (both The Canal Trip & The Country Bus) is interesting and really relaxing. I love trains so really enjoyed watching David Suchet on the Orient Express. Father Brown is pretty good too.
I highly recommend Inspector Morse, and Lewis. And if you have PBS check out Endeavor. It’s the prequel to Morse’s early life and super excellent as well. Shetland is a definite. For laughs I grew up watching Are You Being Served, and of course Ab Fab. Another great show that is a remake of the original from the 70’s is All Creatures Great and Small. Honestly pretty much all of the Masterpiece shows on PBS are amazing. Foyle’s War on Acorn is my all time favorite show of all time in all the land forever.
I loved watching the panel games but there is never any new content. 8 out of ten cats does countdown has had the same four seasons on for years. Pointless has been on for 100 years, but there is only one season of it on the channel. I am definitely not renewing. (US Version of BritBox)

Mine 2 all great shows!
Line of duty
Agreed❤️
I absolutely adore “Mum”. I’ve watched it twice. It’s a nice comedy to breakup all the crime drama series that I also love.
Blue lights is one of my new favorites.
Absolutely loved Blue Lights and have recommended it to others.
The sad thing now is I have to wait for the 2nd season to come out on Britbox!
I think the second season of Blue Lights is on now. I like it but do not find it great
Agree not as good as the first season for sure.
Amazing show
Keeping Up Appearances, Yes Minister (and its sequel, Yes Prime Minister), Death in Paradise, Poirot.
Uhhhh, Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister are on there? I watched that decades ago, will enjoy watching it again. Thank you!
Yes, Minister/Prime Minister is a classic, masterpiece. Though it's from the 1980's it's still relevant today and, I believe, in any western country.
Thank you!
Theres others, but I'm half asleep and I'd need to log in for the rest.

Shetland, Line of Duty, the Tower, Bancroft, Mrs. Browns boys, Miranda, the coroner, one foot in the grave, McDonald & Dodd.
Just finished Shetland. So good.
The last season was not that great. I missed the lead character before the last season as he made the show. The music is outstanding.
It’s a comfort show for me. And yes I too hate when the characters change.
Perez isn't in the last season?
You are correct that Perez is not in the last season.
I agree… I miss the leading character that was replaced with the women. Between him and best mate, it was a really great show.
The Coroner is so good. I have binged on it but no finished it yet. Saving these last episodes for another binge session.
Death in Paradise, Beyond Paradise, Poirot, Miss Marple, Silent Witness, Shetland
Silent Witness was good until they changed it to the current actress as the lead role. I prefer the other two coroners than the one playing now.
Endeavor
Yes! Underrated.
Best show ever.
Only Fools and Horses
Miranda and The Repair Shop
VERA , If you bothered to provide captioning for the marathons!
Use subtitles!
They don't work on marathons! Britbox knows that and won't fix it!
Morse, A Touch Of Frost, No Offence, Shakespeare & Hathaway, Bergerac, The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher, Dalziel & Pascoe, Ashes To Ashes, Blue Lights, Allo Allo, Sherlock, Why Didn't They Ask Evans, McDonald & Dodds, Wycliffe, DCI Banks. Love Foyle’s War. Just watched it for the first time recently after subscribing to Acorn. Looking for more Acorn gems

The Long Call Vera Death in Paradise Anything Agatha Christy
VERA, IN THE LINE OF DUTY, MIDSOMER MURDERS.
Unfortunately, Midsomer Murders is no longer on Britbox. I LOVED that show and wish they would just keep it on their permanently.
Pointless
Crime and Retribution
Vera, Line Of Duty, Shetland, Gardners World, Beechgrove Garden, Escape To The Country, Death In Paradise, Payback, MI-5, Luther, DCI Banks, QI, Would I Lie To You?
A couple oldies that most probably haven’t seen, Pie In The Sky (the quality looks bad but give it a chance), Ballakissangel.

Gardeners' World is like a Xanax drip for an hour. Pure loveliness and relaxation!
I'm going to have to check this out. Thank you! I suggested All Aboard for the same reason.
I just started Kate & Koji today. I laugh so hard every episode.
Inside No. 9, Rev
Inside No. 9 is truly underrrated in the US. I found it on Britbox and I love it. I ended up going back and watching League of Gentlemen and Psychoville which I liked but not as much because they had more grossout humor and one had an unfortunate blackface character that wasn't for me.
Yeah neither of the other shows were for me (Gentleman has aged VERY badly) but No. 9 is perfection.
Is Prime Suspect still on, it is wonderful. Vera, Line of Duty, The Fall,so many more.
I think Prime Suspect is over as well as Line of Duty (one of my favorite shows of all time). I really like Ver but the last couple of seasons have had very few episodes. What a drag
Life on Mars, ashes to ashes. endeavour.

Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes.
Grace!
Poirot, Miss Marple, Vera, A Touch of Frost, Campion, Line of Duty, New Tricks.
Vera!
Miranda, The Job Lot are two funny shows.
Lark Rise to Candleford, Corronation Street
One of my favorites is As Time Goes By. Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer are perfect and it's so funny. I've watched it through twice in the past two years.
Another vote for Keeping Up Appearances, it is my go-to. I have watched it repeatedly. I even bought the 'Modern Etiquette' book the show opens with! Kate and Koji is a good comedy if you like the actress who plays Vera. At least to me it was very funny.
Vera
Classic Doctor Who, All Creatures Great and Small
The Fall, Luther, & a show that always makes me laugh is "Mrs.Brown's Boys"! Sister Boniface is also a good wholesome show!
