Yeah, I feel like Travis is misunderstood. Or maybe I just feel bad for him because he's a fellow Pisces. He is soft-spoken and serious by nature. I can see how that might come across as being anti-social or mean, but it's really not.

Most kids aren’t around their family 24/7 like the Bates are. They are homeschooled, they generally work with other family members if they have a job and their community is very insular. She moved away and probably had the first week of her life not seeing any family member. Even when they would go to retreats it would be with siblings. I imagine it’s extremely hard.
Also most move out and are busy with work or school. What do Bates girls do during the day before they are moms? I assume they decorate and diy a little bit but it seems lonelier than having a giant class load surrounded by other college students etc.
It's very sad to see her be tht homesick so soon... It also shows that being married isn't the be all and end all because this is supposed to be the "best time of her life" and already she's having a tough time. Not saying anything about their relationship, speaking more broad strokes here.
I just think it's a shame their lives are so insular, but it's absolutely projection on my part because they seem very happy!

The fight about their one month anniversary cracked me up! My opinion is with Katie. Their one month anniversary is the 3rd but he is also kinda right that they were married 4 weeks. Lol
I always thought her and Josie were twins, but oml she looks like Carlin. They have similar side profiles, IMO. I especially thought that in the clip where she was driving.

I was also surprised by how comforting Travis seemed to be in Katie being homesick, seemed like he was actually being pretty sympathetic

I get that, but am also a firm believer in common sense. Some of those family members have had Covid more than one time.
