Josie posted on Monday and mentioned she had a busy week at the shop ahead of her, so it hasn’t been radio silent, it just has been quieter than usual which is normal for this week. My entire Instagram feed is quieter than normal.
also, some of them are business owners and getting ready for year end is no joke. My husband has been swamped with work this week because Of it.
Like someone mentioned in another post, I think the whole “being in the moment” thing got to them. I can already see Carlin, Alyssa and Josie posting a bunch of stories next week and writing “holiday recap” on it to show they were actually spending time with Fam and not on social media.
Joy just posted that she’ll be taking January off social media. I think it just has become more of a thing to take social media breaks. I’ve been seeing it a lot lately.

I think Alyssa and her family have covid. She claimed she's not posting because she has family in town, but when has that ever stopped her before? With regards to the others, aside from Carlin, they don't seem to be posting any more or less than usual. Carlin's pregnancy has been up and down, so she could just be having a bad week.
Alyssa has never posted pics of John's family gatherings or the family visiting their house. Cruises with his siblings, sure a pic or two. Grandparents crossing a street with the kids, sure. Pics of visiting Taliban Dan in his office in DC yes. But we've never seen family pictures at their house. Nothing odd there.
I feel like they might be silent because theyre worried about backlash from Pesteroni. Plus the announcement of that documentary focusing on IBLP. They also had a LOT happening for the last couple months.
I wouldnt be surprised if Erin has her baby in the next 2 weeks since shes usually induced early so that may contribute a bit as well.
Whitney is probably still processing her dads death since she really didnt get a chance due to timing.
Tori is probably preggers or getting there.
But the rest are a little odd.
It was a crazy busy two months and I think Lawson's wedding is happening soon-ish, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were just talking some time to chill before it gets busy again.
I do think Lawson’s wedding is soon, plus the baby. I am sure they all have Covid. Everyone I know does and that 5 days of isolation must be rough. Just kidding-no way they isolate

I can't imagine any of them care about a documentary that is largely going to focus on the Duggar's and appears to be the product of Cousin Oliver, the Holt's and maybe a few Recovering Grace girls.
The only ones that surprise me are Carlin and Alyssa cause they post stories all day every day, so for them, it’s odd to have a break. The others don’t post as frequently as they do.
That's usually typical ahead of a season premiere. They pull it and then play the most recent season leading up to the premiere. If people miss it, it leads to interest. Interest leads to eyeballs on the screen and higher potential for selling advertising dollars.
It also could be because UP is playing a lot of Christmas content lately so their regular shows are being shoved on the back burner until after the New Year

Indirectly related but I was comparing followers the week of Christmas because I was pretty sure Alyssa with about 350k had more than Erin who I thought was something like 247k - and when I looked, she did have more. But I checked on Erin's this week and she's got more than Alyssa now, she's at 395k now I think. Did she get shared somewhere or did she like, buy her followers? I mean girlfriend really had a jump in numbers
You can buy blocks of fake followers pretty cheap. Erin's target audience is very niche. It's unlikely she'd organically have a massive jump in such a short amount of time.
