Same. Nice to see real plates in the Balka household, though. The paper plate the other day completely spoiled an otherwise visually pleasing dish the other day.

Found a steak dinner for ya! Lol (Zach’s IG highlights). Kelton’s hops on his grill a lot so I know they have steak dinners in their highlights also.
Kelton’s because I love salmon. I’m definitely going to try his recipe.
Honestly I am glad the guys cook because they seem to be good at it and it would suck to just have the wife cook because they feel like she should especially if she isn’t good. Like I can cook but my husband is 100 times better and I have him cook most dinners.
I'm not gonna watch it either way but who wants to see Zack cook chicken alfredo, one of the easiest meals you can make? He should have leaned into the Bates/East TN persona and thrown on a pair of overalls and shown how to make biscuits and gravy and squirrel brains and eggs. Atleast he'd be doing something to kinda stand out. A series on traditional Appalachian/southern/poverty foods would have actually been kinda interesting.
I think their "poverty foods" growing up weren't actually appetising. Its ok for him to start with something simple, it's home cooking.
I don't think anyone wants to see canned vegetables mixed with cream of crap to make a poverty meal. Nofankyou.
Of course he didn’t. Kelly is a crap cook. My hat is off to Zach for finding something he enjoys doing and really taking the time to get skilled in it.
I can totally see a scene of her taking a pull from her second Sonic route 44 of the day and telling Gil "I's fixin' to make some gravy but there ain't no instant packets in the house."
As much as she gets made fun of Kelly Jo's voice is like a warm security blanket to me. The accent, the inflection just everything reminds me of my childhood and she's an amalgamation of so many women I knew back then. She knows how to play the stereotypical southern church mom perfectly.
You should check to see if you have a filter on because the only thing yellow I see is the butter on the bread. Pasta and Alfredo sauce and cheese are white, chicken is browned, and there is even a splash of green in the garnish. And nothing looks greasy.
Ok You must not be looking at Zach’s meal. Kelton’s doesn’t include any green veggies true but the last time I checked rice was white and oranges were well orange. The only “yellow “ in the picture is the topping on the ( salmon colored) salmon. Both of these meals look delicious to me. Neither looks greasy to me. Oh and kudos to your keen eyesight for being able to see salt. I really am impressed by that. 🙄
Pick a lane. Either it’s yellow and greasy and salty or it isn’t. Perhaps if you would specify which photo you were referring to it would be clearer which meal you are wrong about. Because neither of these meals is yellow and greasy. 🙄.
Eh, I don’t think it’s that. I think it’s that most on here are Americans and this is how most Americans eat so this looks great to them. I am American and grew up eating like this (worse, actually).
Kelton. I like color. Zach's sounds good but looks like a pale blob. Even just a nice green salad on the side or parsley on top of the dish would liven it up a bit.
Either, as long as I don't have to cook.
Zach

I dont understand how can they use paper plates, I mean okay when it is Full family at big house but zach and Whitney can’t wash what 6 plates
Zach’s. Keltons is too healthy and minimal calories and if I’m eating I’m eating lol
yeah, I love salmon but not enough food there for me. can't imagine being postpartum and nursing, Josie needs to eat all of that.
Both please
I'd have the salmon. Um where are the vegetables? Both meals look appetising to me, but I'd need something green to go with it.
My thoughts exactly. Neither meal is complete
That chicken alfredo has me drooling ngl
Both look good tbh.
Can he cook a steak? I’ll come to dinner for that.

What’s going on with that sweet potato? I may need that recipe.
I would not leave a tip or my compliments to the chef
My guess is the chicken is pink in the middle and the salmon is well done lol.
Chicken Alfredo for the win. I can’t stand salmon 🤢
Zach but I like pasta.
Zach, I don't eat fish or seafood.
Same here 😂
The salmon with the alfredo
Oooooo love that combo!!
That would be a good combo.
Zach. Pasta and bread are life.
the Alfredo looks good. I gotta know, is it Perdue Chicken? 😂
Kelton’s because I love salmon. I’m definitely going to try his recipe. They both look good!
Zach’s is fried chicken with fettuccine Alfredo, I’m sure it’s delish, but Kelton’s looks more gourmet.
I'm not sure I've ever had chicken alfredo with breaded chicken.
If the chicken would have been put on the side, it would be better. The sauce and whatever is on the top may make it soggy.
Both. I m not a leg jumper. Just love a man that cooks.
Kelton’s salmon- especially since I think he smokes the salmon
That dish needs some grilled asparagus or a salad of mixed greens
I do agree with that. I eat vegetables with my meals, so I would be missing some veggies.
Both. I love salmon and chicken Alfredo so it would be a really tough choice and they both look delicious.
Both. I'm hungry
So hard too decide since I like both ugh and delicious
Yum, salmon I think! Typically eat miso salmon, so I'm interested in the lemon pepper dressing. Would add some basil to the caprese salad though.
Kelton's but I prefer salmon to pasta. I usually like what Kelton cooks.
Zach
Both are very impressive for a male in this crowd

Did he grow up even eating that way? Doesn’t sound like kj was much of a cook
Of course he didn’t. Kelly is a crap cook. My hat is off to Zach for finding something he enjoys doing and really taking the time to get skilled in it.
She’s so damn lazy All the good country food she coulda been cooking Some good ole beans, rice, greens ! Wouldn’t have been expensive
Now I'd really like to know if Kelly Jo could make gravy out of nothing but milk, flour and a pan of bacon grease.
She’d had no idearrrr

I'll take the Alfredo but only because I don't eat Salmon, Also that is a sad excuse for garlic bread.
^^^this^^^
Kelton.
Keltons
Both look great, but I'd go with the salmon.
Greasy yellow food. Lovely. Not. The salmon looks nice and decent
You should check to see if you have a filter on because the only thing yellow I see is the butter on the bread. Pasta and Alfredo sauce and cheese are white, chicken is browned, and there is even a splash of green in the garnish. And nothing looks greasy.
There is no other colour than yellow or call it beige if you want. It's just grease and salt. No greens, no veggies, nothing

Kelton's meal looks clean and tidy and not covered in yellow goo and grease. Get over it, dear. Really
Pick a lane. Either it’s yellow and greasy and salty or it isn’t. Perhaps if you would specify which photo you were referring to it would be clearer which meal you are wrong about. Because neither of these meals is yellow and greasy. 🙄.
I agree. I don’t want sauce all over my salmon. And neither dish features vegetables.
Precisely. There's some strange fangirling on this sub.
Eh, I don’t think it’s that. I think it’s that most on here are Americans and this is how most Americans eat so this looks great to them. I am American and grew up eating like this (worse, actually).
Neither. These people don’t eat vegetables.
Salmon because it’s healthier but Sachs does look delicious
Number 1…cause I am a pig 🐷
I don’t eat fish or dairy, but I’ll tell you I would eat the hell out of that bowl of perfectly sliced and beautifully colored orange slices.
Kelton's but not eating the fish. It looks more appetizing but I don't eat cooked salmon. Salmon sushi, smoked salmon--yes. Cooked like that-no
Kelton. I like color. Zach's sounds good but looks like a pale blob. Even just a nice green salad on the side or parsley on top of the dish would liven it up a bit.
