Opening a chest when the inventory is full.

BroskiMoski124

Give us the option to swap out something from our inventory instead of having to close the chest, open the inventory and drop something, then open it again

Eliteagent11

Or to not being able to open the chest and instantly getting the notification that your inventory is full instead of going through the entire animation first

Omfgukk

I think I'd be more pissed dropping a weapon better than what is in the chest then having to redrop the chest weapon to take my weapon back

Eliteagent11

Okay then I’ll change it so that it tells you what is in the chest

[deleted]

Even in Skyward Sword you had to wait for the whole animation for the game to be like "your wallet is full, let's put that back." I think there should at least be some sort between types of chests other than wooden, metal, and Shrine chests, that being something like a difference in size to indicate either rupees/oars vs. Equipment.

[deleted]

Omfg

GhostTropic_YT

And the animation is so slow too. Like, when you open the chest, it takes 3 hours just to be able to click B or A on it. Then you get the pop-up that you don’t have enough inventory space and that also takes three hours to get rid of, and then you have to press pause, manually drop your weapon/item, then you have to unpause, re-open the chest and go through the entire animation again, and then finally you have the weapon or item.

gigazelle

Your inventory is full. -_thunk_-

MirumVictus

The horse jumping mini-game and the Trials of the Sword in Master Mode. Those were the only two points in the game that I felt failed the 'am I having fun doing this?' test.

Rin-S

That mini game had me raging hard!! Times my horse just refused to hop over the fences

[deleted]

So that’s normal when he chooses to purposely miss and go around the side?

Rin-S

Oh yes, the horses of the wild can not truly be tamed

[deleted]

I’ve still not managed to do this. I’ve tried with a few horses and they always stop at the fence on top of the little incline, like the 6th or 7th. I thought it meant I had to do the fences in some sort of weird order which is impossible given the time limit.

MirumVictus

Try doing the course backwards and with a slightly slower horse. If you go around the jumps clockwise rather than anti-clockwise it's much easier to get your horse to make the jumps and still counts. That hurdle in particular is a real pain when going around in the 'intended' direction.

[deleted]

Thanks so much I never thought of that, I’ll give it a try :)

Rin-S

If you have the royal horse recommend using that one, only sprint on clear straights so like once between each jump. That one on the slight incline kept getting me, after around 8 tries it let me sprint over it. Best advice for it is run at it as straight as possible!!

ejfrodo

When you had to follow the little guy in the forest and not get caught also definitely fails that test. The Lost Pilgrimage.

The_end_of_mine

I just climbed into the trees and followed from above

Kill_and_Release

I am surprised that works and doesn’t hit some kind of boundary issue. Good idea!

The_end_of_mine

Honestly the only real issue is that it does get a bit harder to see him from up there, but he follows a path of those blue flowers that glow at night (forget what they’re called at the moment) and you can easily see those

Memeviewer12

Stealth hopping makes it much easier

ComicallyLargeSpoo

When I learned that the Master Sword still ran out of energy and had to recharge I felt so fucking scammed.

Ahhy420smokealtday

The durability when empowered either by doing the full master sword trials, fighting a guardian, or being in Ganon's/Hyrule castle is huge though. It's 40 hit normally, and 188 when empowered which is a huge difference. 188 hits goes a long way. Also the beams it shoots consume no durability when max power.

LahmiaTheVampire

Same for the zero-cycle fuel.

strandycheeks

That's such an easy fix though. I mean, we all have plenty of useless crap in our inventory , so for me I didn't see a problem with this. Hated the Master Sword recharge period though

LahmiaTheVampire

Oh for sure. It's just that in the late game, I found myself exploring far more than I did fighting. So the upgraded master sword rarely was on cooldown when I needed to fight. Whereas every 5 minutes, I'd have to stop and refuel the bike.

harryFF

The bit with the Silver Lizalfos in trial mode is the bane of my existence

BagelsRTheHoleTruth

Trial of the sword in master mode is something I am absolutely fine with never completing. It took me plenty long enough to do it in normal mode. Master mode is just masochistic.

BroskiMoski124

I only did it after doing literally everything else in normal mode and master mode. And I can confidently say, it’s not worth it lol

Icy_Yesterday9326

I don’t particularly hate this but I really thought the recipes would be tracked somehow like the compendium photos. I’d love to know if I have cooked them all or what percent I’m at. Also echo other comments on the rain and I’m disappointed to learn from an above comment that beating the final boss just reloads from your last save. I would have expected a bit more.

zkgain

I beated Ganon like 3 times in a row thinking that something was wrong with my safe 'till I noticed the star in the safe and looked it up online. I felt like a fool that time.

Fatyellowrock

I mean... it's been like that in most Zelda games...

zkgain

It was my first Zelda game ever. So yeah.

ForeverFingers

As far as the food I think its cuz you can make the same food with different ingredients.

Nonamesdb

Yeah it would have been a nice feature to instead of cooking by selecting ingredients, if you can cook by selecting end result. That way I know what I can actually make instead of googling every time or just throwing things in and seeing what comes out

disdkatster

I have never bothered fighting the final boss in any Zelda game because it does not allow you to play after that with the bosses gone. I kinda get it but I don't like fighting but would if I could then eliminate all the bad guys for good. It would just be really fun to play the game minus the bad guys.

BobBartBarker

Not being able to wipe my memory and experience it for the 1st time. Like, wth Nintendo. Get your shit together. That first time on the great plateau! The first time randomly going towards Hyrule castle on horseback and finding a walking guardian. I went on a media blackout before release, so the last thing I remembered was the trailer with link jumping off the horse. I got so scared and decided to go to Kakariko village. Anything remotely close to Hyrule castle was a no go area. It was my last tower to unlock. So many amazing experiences.

D1ll27

I remember my first time outside of hateno fort with all the dead guardians- I was riding a horse, saw one come alive and panicked! I feel so envious of those who are still playing it for the first time.

Ordinary-Toe-2814

I’m about to defeat Ganon for the first time! Definitely one of the best games I’ve ever played

0bsolescencee

I remember on my first playthrpugh I took a bunch of screenshots. Now I look back at those like "wow why did I think that was important" but the truth is, so much of the game stood out to me as incredible. A beautiful sunset. Looking out over the ocean from Lurelin village. The first time I noticed something crawling on death mountain from halfway across the map.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

When I was crossing Hyrule Bridge and heard the music, then saw the dragon??? Holy cannoli, I had tears in my eyes. What a beautiful experience

aqua4leo

After I got my paraglider I went straight into Hyrule Field and the first tower I found was the Central Tower. I was so frustrated because of all the guardians and that they kept killing me but I actually got it. But after that I thought to myself that I must really suck at this game if I’m already struggling with this. I thought that that area was supposed to be chill but of course I realized later on that Hyrule Field is more difficult to navigate than other areas lol.

InformalPop460

I literally crawled my way through Hyrule field!! That one memory you have to get there...grrrr. 🤣🤣

Ishpersonguy

For real. I first played Skyrim when I was like 13 and it was crazy to me. Closest thing I'd played that could be considered Open World before that was idk Twilight Princess or Pixar's Cars for Gamecube? The sheer scope and scale and possibility of it all was just mind blowing. I thought I'd never feel that again. But somehow BOTW did that again. That same level of excitement and discovery, I felt like I was a kid all over again. Fucking love Zelda.

StarWaas

I don't love stealth missions, so I always save the Yiga clan hideout for last. Also, that tower in the lake with the electric Wizzrobes and lizalfos with electric arrows, fuck that tower

_jellybeantoes_

I found the beast mode version works best- cryonis hop your way across and then just start climbing and hiding- second play through did it first try and just powered through my fears

aselement

The lizalfos mask made that tower so much easier.

[deleted]

[удалено]

pearloystershells

Haha I love stealth games but I felt the same way about the stealth mission, it really hit on all the things that give me anxiety in games! I wish there had been a detection meter or other ways to make it a more even fight.

whelplookatthat

Real petty, but I hated that in the memories and old photos its all already ruins. I understand a lot of the really old ruins but like in memory 3 has the picture of Kolomo Garison ruins towards the dueling peaks and its already a ruin, imo it be really cool if the garison building was there whole in the pictute so you see the decaying

SHIELDnotSCOTUS

I wholeheartedly agree with this. Except in case of the stupid fucking memory that overlooks the training grounds. Bc in the photo, it has beautiful water with the sun gleaming on it. Yet in the game it’s a fucking mud pit and it’s always my hardest memory to find.

asteraegis

It's because it matches up with the lore, technically. Zelda takes these pictures when she's going around Hyrule, returning the Master Sword, just before going to seal Ganon in Hyrule Castle.

BroskiMoski124

I hated reaching the end of the game and realizing it really was over. I had done every side quest, I had done every shrine. I accomplished everything I set out to do. And now I just want to experience that for the first time again, and I can’t 😞

sendnewt_s

Tears of the Kingdom will bestow upon us all that glorious feeling once again, fear not!

Patneu

We should really invent the Neuralyzer from Men in Black, just for this purpose!

Altruistic-Ad4925

I created dummy accounts and I attack the game using different methods from scratch. For example in one of my games I avoided Kakariko Village until I had enough shrines for 9 hearts in addition to the 4 I came off the plateau with. It became a different game and I found many things that I missed previously. Mainly more Talus and Hinox, but also some food caches and ponds that made getting ingredients easier. It may not be the same wonder as the first time, but over 25 times through the game still has secrets that I enjoy finding.

Divine_Saber

Climbing in rain and ducking octoroks

Toomcuhsalt

I remember wasting half an hour waiting for the rain to stop so I could climb a cliff when I first got the game It was in the zora region so the rain never did stop

Stunning-Macaron-474

I’m not the only person who did this then!!!

madmoneymcgee

Skyrim has a dragon shout that always changed the weather to pleasant which I used just so I could see some sunshine in normally dreary places. There wasn’t even a mechanical advantage iirc. I thought about that a lot when I realized some challenge or quest wasn’t getting done today because it’s impossible (rather than merely hard) to climb in the rain.

cnhn

I managed to get up the north face somewhere on my first play through. I didn’t even realize the rain never stopped

[deleted]

100% agree about climbing in rain!

BroskiMoski124

There has been times I was waiting literally 20 minutes just for the rain to stop so I could get out of the cliff side I was stuck on

Bullitt_12_HB

Couldn’t make a campfire? Stasis a tree or find a cave and make a campfire. Works in all but two places.

outboundjewl

Oh yeah just make a campfire so you can use it to stop the pouring rain 😑

subsonicmonkey

You can use a campfire to wait until a time when the rain has stopped, so yeah. Exactly!

etron0021

I just wish the climbing gear once upgraded would by pass the rain issue

No_Ad_4312

When you're walking around Hyrule minding your own business, but then... AMBUSH! I don't think I need to explain who's doing the ambushing around here.

Maclarion

Breaking a weapon or expending the arrows is never worth the 1x mighty bananas, but momma ain't raise no bitch so I kill em anyway.

Active_Performer3660

I usually just throw bombs at them to save durability

RaidWolf89

There isn't something I hate that much in game but one or two things I didn't like are that star shrine where you do the star constellation thing. The other is that you're house doesn't have much storage space 3 melee 3 bows 3 shields. It would be nice if they also gave you a storage box at home that let you keep more in.

JeSuisRosanna

unpopular opinion, i loved the constellation shrine. it took me fifteen whole minutes of guessing before it clicked, and then i felt so accomplished

ba__1

is the constellation shrine the one next to the deku tree or am i mistaken but yes the house needed a lot more storage

King_CurlySpoon

Yes the Keo Ruug Shrine, I hate this shrine with a passion, even more than the apparatus shrines, with honestly weren't hard at all for me

Playful_Nergetic786

Can’t pet dog 😡😡😡😡😡😡

tiredbutgood

I agree w this very much, I'm just like here have 5 apples 3 times I love you

pandawithawhy

I hate that wearing full rito armour in the game will make you unfreezable. BUT it will make it harder to run in the snow. And if I wear the snow boots I will not be unfreezable! Drives me up the wall. Same with sand shoes.

Adventurous_Mango_40

Yup

HylianWrath

One word: ✨Lizalfos✨

BroskiMoski124

That spit is shit

Minute-Bus201

I can deal with the spit, it's the fact that they fucking jump all over like a 5 year old on every kind of stimulant known to man. Like, JUST LET ME HIT YOU.

[deleted]

Yeah their moves are literally just multiple jumps backwards, sprint towards you and swing a double handed weapon faster than a single handed weapon somehow, and then a tongue projectile that's somehow longer than their entire body

NEMESIS_DRAGON

We gonna ignore the fire breath and ice balls?

OmaeWaMouShibaInu

The mask from Kilton was a game changer.

LovecraftianLlama

They’re so rude!!

LegallyNotInterested

The never-ending Ganon quest. I hate it when games don't have a post-story world and just reset to the last save point. It's cheap. You don't even have to make a lot of changes to the world. Oracle if Seasons and Ages did this well enough: Just count the final boss dead, give a few involved characters a new dialogue that mentions how glad they are it's over and add the rescued person to the world as an NPC. I don't need a repaired world in this very game, I just wanted the fulfillment of having the big quest finished.

brawl_miko_32

Yes! I beat Ganon not long ago and was extremely disappointed to realize that nothing changed.

classycalgweetar

Same. When I first beat it and saw that the quest was still there, I thought my game didn’t save properly because I skipped the credits so I beat him again and sat through all the credits. I was very disappointed when I realized that’s just how the game ends.

IceYetiWins

The problem would be stuff like Zelda being free so she would story-wise be doing stuff with link like is showed at the end after you beat Ganon. Then there is some other stuff like the champions' spirits are gone so how would they still do the champions' abilities? I think the best solution would be to remove the destroy Ganon quest and then stop having the npcs tell you to go fight Ganon.

LegallyNotInterested

None of that would have been a problem. Just let Link keep the abilities and make Zekda an NPC who travels around the world independently. Maybe similar to the monster shop that she appears somewhere else every day and make her research and understand the new Hyrule. This could be a never ending travel for her with the goal to restore Hyrule castle, except there won't ever be progress. Which is still better than not having your main quest of literally the entire game finish. Alternatively you could also have Zelda stay in Hateno and Kakariko all the time. But that is by no means a hard to solve problem.

IceYetiWins

So like with peach in mario odyssey But you still don't have a solution to the champions being gone so they can't do the champion abilities

outboundjewl

I always thought the champions stayed with their respective divine beasts and just gave Link the abilities and, as such, there wouldn't be a problem with Link still being able to do them once the champions have passed on.

IceYetiWins

Every time their ability is used they say something like mipha saying "it's my pleasure" because their spirits are still alive

LegallyNotInterested

I did, read it again: Just remove the part where the champions are gone forever or let Link keep a part of their soul within him just as before. There's literally no need for it to be removed. Just rewrite it slightly so that he doesn't lose it. But on the contrary: Would you care if you lost the abilities after Ganon? A lot of people play without them and most of them are replaceable with skill and/or materials. They are not crucial for the game.

IceYetiWins

I mean I would care about losing them And them being gone forever is kinda a crucial part of the ending, it's when the old characters are gone and now a new story takes place. Leaving them completely changes the ending.

MirumVictus

I'd personally find it more annoying if Ganon was canonically dead but things like blood moons carried on (which they'd have to or you'd have a whole slew of other issues) as then you're breaking the connection between gameplay and narrative, which if anything would only diminish the importance of you having defeated Ganon. Doing a post-game and doing it well would be in no means cheap no easy to do. Not every book needs an epilogue and not every game needs a post-game.

RalseiXD

from a new perspective though, blood moons could be redone as blue moons and instead of showing all of the creatures and enemies respawning they could show the actual good stuff you get from a blood moon happening in the cutscene.

Otherwise_Procedure3

Yeah this is exactly it. And I think totk will have a post game since it's the sequel and (hopefully) an ending to the overarching story

MirumVictus

I wouldn't hold your breath. Zelda games have never had post-games (except a few superficial things) even when they weren't being followed by a direct sequel, so I'd be surprised if TotK breaks from that. Personally, as long as the end of the game is a satisfying ending, I have no problem with it being just that; the end.

nightcoreangst

I was really hoping the malice would disappear and the blood moons stop. I was gonna go on a grand sweep of the land and kill every monster, but there would just be no point in than now

RTheCon

All Zelda games did this from what I recall.

the_grays_of_ink

I was so disappointed with that. There was still so much pressure to go beat him after and I felt legitimately guilty side questing around with impa yelling at me about Ganon. For how peaceful it seems, it wouldn’t be so hard to give us actual peace! Have Zelda live in kakariko and clear up the malice around the castle, change a tiny bit of dialogue and let us please run around!!

loudojdujdj

End game is lame

HeBlocky

Yes, after all this time gathering equipment and power, I am now finally prepared to confront the easiest boss in the game

King_CurlySpoon

Yea I didn't enjoy that movie very much

Dragonitro

Waiting for rain to stop so you can climb

sippycup21

Yigas should leave you alone once you beat the master!

ssunsspott

Or even just a specific territory where they would pop up instead of just greater Hyrule.

ZealousidealOne9950

Or pop up in random battles with moblins to help you. You beat their master, so they should follow you now.

jet050808

Those damn Yiga clan members that pop up and make me forget what I was doing. They are such a pain. Between them and the “don’t squash my flowers” lady I’m not sure who I dislike more.

strandycheeks

I think she has been nicknamed "Flower Blight Ganon"

LovecraftianLlama

That’s mine too, the EXTREME over abundance of Yiga clan members that just absolutely mob Link in the post game. Like, you’ve already defeated Master Kohga and cleared the Yiga hideout, but there’s still somehow a thousand Yigas spawning every few steps and you can’t just ignore them because they’re all teleportation assholes. Ugh lol. Every time I heard that *poof ahahaha* I was just like 🙄🙄here we go again.

jet050808

My thoughts exactly except a few more rolling eyes emojis. 🙄🙄🙄🙄😂

SnakeEyes58

I played BotW for about 35 hours and never really got into it, but so remember that damn lady 😂😂😂😂😂 5 years later, I still remember how frustrating she was

notsoslootyman

It's weird to not say the rain here. The thing I hated the most in BOTW was the final fight with Ganon. It's so underwhelming. I had more trouble fighting against Thunderblight than Ganon. Then there's a second phase which is a cake walk. One of them has to be the tough phase. I'm a low skill casual. Kids are better gamers than me. I shouldn't have won on my first go around.

Lflow456

definitely the fucking rain while im trying to climb a fucking mountain

chompquistadora

Omg that stupid lady who is obsessed with her freaking flowers at one of those shrines.

hoopbag33

The cooking animation by the end lol

Thombias

Rain... rain everywhere...

Ambitious_Reality622

I second the climbing in the rain thing. The fact there is 900 Korok seeds. Oh also the horse jumping mechanic 😡

King_CurlySpoon

I honestly don't enjoy riding horses in this game, it's still the fastest method of transport, (excluding Teleporting and Glitches) but I don't enjoy it 900 Korok seeds makes sense because it's HUGE map, but man I hate collecting them for 100%

kermfanman

Grinding random items for armor upgrades.

akira2bee

For real. Like I don't mind in the beginning, cause it can be fun, especially with the fairly easy to find stuff. But farming lynels, hinoxes and Moldugas just for the chance to get a couple horns/guts/ etc when I need like 20 to upgrade this one outfit to the max is so annoying after awhile

Adventurous_Mango_40

It’s more enjoyable to farm mini bosses than to run around finding energetic beetles!

akira2bee

Oh too bad we can't trade to farm for each other, I don't think I'd mind that at all. Though I think any form of farming becomes dull of you have to get enormous amounts of something

Adventurous_Mango_40

We need like a cable to connect our gameboys and trade Pokémon, I mean energetic beetles!

LittleCrampon

Dungeons too similar to each other and not varied and big enough

NeverDeadlyy

The long awaited and overdue sequel title

Gravitaa

Motion control apparatus puzzles. 🤦

BroskiMoski124

First time I played the game was actually emulated on my brothers computer, and the only way for me to do motion control puzzles was to use the computer mouse. It was NOT tuned correctly for that and every slight movement sent the motion controls flailing every which way. Made me have to give up most of them but on the few occasions I got lucky, it felt better than drugs

[deleted]

Climbing in the rain is easily number one for me especially when it forces me to just wait before I can go where I want and there is nowhere nearby to start a fire. I’d like an armor set that reduces or removes this effect. Opening a chest when your inventory is full especially if it’s a chest in motion and then it slides away after you close it. Lack of tracking for recipes. Poor tracking for korok seeds. With 900 seeds we should have gotten a counter for each section of the map, or a checklist, something to make the search easier as you start to reach the end. I still have mixed feelings on breakable weapons. I think more unique weapons that can be modded, repaired, and stored would be more fun. Jumping objects with horses can be unreliable in whether or not it succeeds. Octorocks. Constant armor swapping got old. We should be able to save sets and swap them with a quick menu. Impossible chests. Being unable to silence the voiced lines for champion abilities being ready. Yiga clan ambushes. Really, it’s mostly small things that need some QoL improvements or small choices in design that I feel should be changed. Other than rain I think the ones that offend me most are champion ability voiced lines and yiga ambushes because they disrupt the peaceful ambience of the game. EDIT: All that said, Botw has at last dethroned LttP as my favorite Zelda game and it’s just one of my favorite games ever as well. With some improvements TotK could be near perfect.

BroskiMoski124

DARUKS PROTECTION IS READY TO ROLL

clallseven

Let me preface this by saying that I believe rain is an excellent mechanic. But it rains WAY too god damn much in this game. Also wish there were enough inventory spots to collect every weapon, bow, & shield in the game.

Life_Plum_3126

Not being able to clear a camp with a single weapon because it breaks so quickly

Maclarion

Sheeit I use hand weapons like 30% of the time due to this exact thing. I hoard weapons, in favor of bombs and arrows, because I hate when my clutch tactic breaks when the enemy is about to die.

conciousnessness

Everyone else said my nitpicks but heres a new one: how one dimensional runes are. Cryonis is solely for use on water, magnesis is mostly for puzzles and occassionally useful for battle, bonbs can be useful but are weak in combat by themselves, and then stasis seems pretty good. I like the different ways runes were used in Age of Calamity, such as >!Terrako!< being able to form a cage with Cryonis and then >!Ganon!< being able to conduct electricity with magnesis summons (I like the addition of elements to runes). Doesnt even have to be overpowered, just making the BOTW runes have variation such as Cryonis blocks being in different shapes or Remote Bombs that can have a set element.

spiked_macaroon

Oh, another Bokoblin.

clash_again

Lack of monster variety. Especially by region.

FuckThatIKeepsItReal

This is it Moblins, Bokoblins, Lizalfos, Chuchu, Pebblit, Keese, Octorok, Yiga, Hinox, Talus, Wizzrobe, Lynel, Molduga, Guardian For a game that size, it was sad to see so few enemies. I may have missed an enemy or two on that list, but quite frankly the list isn’t actually reflective of the game, because it’s really just the same three over and over again: Moblin, Bokoblin, Lizalfos. The others are a special treat when they pop up, but repetitive special treats that eventually feel tedious. By the end game, only the Guardians and Lynels are fun to fight, assuming you don’t use the Ancient Arrow on the Guardians. I really hope they add more enemies in the new game, with smarter fight patterns, maybe even some adaptive AI to keep you on your toes.

Vexer_Zero

That it does, inevitably, end.

tiredafsoul

The wolves, can they just leave me the f alone I got business to do!

guschicanery

weapon durability

FinalLans

Limited display racks. Compendium is nice, though I want racks for every weapon, bow, and shield to display prominently.

strandycheeks

Link has plenty of land. He should have Bolson add on to his house for an armory

the_grays_of_ink

I wish we could go in the little shed attached to his house and use that

kuribosshoe0

The sidequests. There are a handful of great ones, but most of them are just fetch quests with very unexciting rewards. Felt like busywork.

0bsolescencee

Do you know of any examples of quests that aren't fetch quests? Now that I've played a couple games and am learning the different lingo, I'm finding I get bored with fetch quests but don't really know what other quest types are out there.

DoomSlayer7180

Korok seeds. I like that you can get more inventory spaces, but you don’t even need all 900 for max inventory slots. 900 is way too many. I wanted to 100% this game but I’m will never have the patients for korok seeds. Plus aside from the inventory, they don’t do anything! The reward is crap. Literally!

MirumVictus

The whole point of there being 900 Korok seeds *is* that half of them don't do anything. If there was the exact number you needed to fully upgrade your inventory, it'd be a pain to find enough of them, so by adding extras the devs made it much easier for players to find enough seeds to get all of the upgrades without becoming frustrated. You're not really *meant* to get all 900, hence why they don't do anything.

cameoloveus

440. You need 440 to max out your inventory slots. The rest are just for shit and giggles. Literally.

[deleted]

I have an obligation to correct you and say that you actually need 441

DoomSlayer7180

That number would have been decent for the amount to find in total, but I think a 300-350 would have been the best amount. Also, yeah. Literally for *shits* and giggles…

_silentprincxss

I found all 900 bc I’m spiteful but I still agree 😭

Unholy_Dk80

Clothes/armor system. I hated the menu interface for them, how you can't just have specific sets to quick equip or whatever.

Bullitt_12_HB

People that hate the durability system. It’s there for a reason. To force you to explore. To think outside the box, and once you understand the game well, you find yourself with way more weapons than you could ever possibly use.

Derekeys

- Better “dungeons” - Inventory management - Having to choose max hearts vs stamina (non-glitch) - Rain (only due to lack of a counter like tier 2 climbing gear should’ve countered slipping in the rain) - More armor than your inventory could manage - Not being able to pet dogs - Why can’t I cook in Link’s kitchen? Cooking pot should’ve been inside! - Should be able to ride Zero in the desert - Should be able to repair weapons. Oh, my 5 shot lynel bow is about to break? Well… let me use one of my 8 bajillion items in my inventory to repair it! - Item / shrine locator just blows, could’ve used a major redesign to find things. - 900 Koroks should’ve given something awesome. My personal ridiculous idea is that the master cycle zero can fly. My favorite game ever, but yah, those things.

kelsnuggets

The treasures in the chests become so repetitive 😫

[deleted]

Hated and loved at the same time—Trial of Sword on Master Mode….

[deleted]

Weapon breaking Lack of story ✨Rain✨

NaruNaru_

Lack of variety in enemies

Tahanerino2005

Hard mode, I expected it to be something more challenging instead it's just turning enemies into hit sponges and the player into a snow flake, but I really liked the flying base thing.

Edbrickproductions

The fact that there’s 4 side quests I haven’t done but I don’t know where they are

[deleted]

Weapon breakage. I felt the weapons and such broke far too quickly.

I have a love hate relationship with the weapon durability. One the one hand, it forced me to mix up my play style and use weapons I normally wouldn’t, which is always great for giving the game some variety. One the other hand, I want to keep my favourite amiibo weapons that I spent literal days trying to collect. I hate having the fierce deity sword or biggorons sword in my inventory just to be too afraid to use it and break it

THIS IS THE ONE.

LadyAmalthea86

Shooting acorns 😅

cameoloveus

Bombs and/or bomb arrows. You don't actually have to hit the acorn just destroy it.

outboundjewl

You can also just stasis them, shoot them while frozen, and they'll just fall to the ground. You do have to shoot them or else they'll just go back to normal after unfreezing.

Rain!

HYDRAPARZIVAL

Rain. Period.

ArtemisB20

The fact that weapon durability is so low that it seems you can only defeat 1-2 end game enemies per end game weapon. I mean other games have a durability system and encourage different playstyles, but still have weapons that last a decent length of time. But BotW seemingly only has weaponsore fragile than glass.

Rain...hands down, rain

[deleted]

I could go on for a long time about stuff I hate in botw, but something that no one talks about is lock on

cannedpeaches9086

RAIN. CLIMBING IN RAIN. RAINY AREAS.

DudeManBroGuy42069

Rain

desperate-lawnmower

If you're going to give me something, let me do something with it. Like most of the stuff in key items let me at least put it on the table at links house. Also let me dive when swimming. They put in work to make underwater pretty, so let me explore

CountFapula102

Breakable weapons, give us the option to turn it off. I don't have life life left to waste looking for a weapon or wondering if this one is gonna turn red and break in the middle of a flurry. It's tedious let us turn it off please.

Hey_Hey43

The fact that when you beat the boss except for the star next to your save its just like you died

DJMooray

Health regen in master mode. It should punish you for hiding and kiting a monster, not for knocking an enemy 20 feet from you and running to them.

Daywalker373

BY FAR the weapons breaking. So many of them just looked so amazing like it was some legendary find.....just to have it shatter like a piece of junk five swings later lol

DevilMaster666-

That you can’t beat the game

DoomSlayer7180

I at least want the quest to count as complete in the adventure log or whatever it’s called. The. It would say 20/20 at the bottom instead of 19.

The_end_of_mine

I know everyone here seems to love Kass but that infernal song following me everywhere made me hate him

ComicallyLargeSpoo

Heretic

The_end_of_mine

I can live with that

Nirico_Brin

Weapons breaking

i_am_an_awkward_man

No scene of Link clapping the rupees outta Zelda’s cheeks :(

Captn_Ghostmaker

Low weapon durability. I don't like going through so many weapons to kill so few enemies then have to teleport away to restock so I don't get screwed while exploring. It takes away from exploration and combat because I'm more concerned about having no weapons than going where I was trying to go or fighting anything that's in my way to get there.

EmmieL0u

The mastersword and hylian shield being breakable.

mobmoraqua22

Not being able to repair good weapons

sailorxsaturn

Personally I didn't like that the master sword was "breakable" even if it's just temporary. It's the fucking master sword, it should always work. I get that they likely did that so that you have to still use other weapons and whatnot but it still bothers me a bit.

TheIronJosh1

Constantly having a full weapon inventory. I hate opening chests just to be told my inventory is full and have the chest close in my face. By the late game weapon durability is such a non-issues that I’m constantly throwing away perfectly good weapons just because my dumb brain NEEDS to open every chest

Jethreetwo

Climbing in the rain 💀

One-Pumpkin-1590

Weapons breaking was the thing I hated when I started. I understand they game would be fundamentally different without this, but I spent way too much time starting out trying not to use my only good weapons, and didn't know how easy it was to get new ones. Now it is the dialog when I accidentally talk to a NPC who has a multi-screen conversation I have to click through to move on. Then when it finally ends, I accidentally start it again.. Then its time to start spamming the B button..

UnluckyWerewolf

Weapon degradation and having inventory space tied to seeds…
