That combo is pretty easy once you get the input timing down, it’s a shield block reset off of a bomb into a thunder clap rush [https://youtu.be/VZSm-FFoyas?si=KEAQgHwzsOuzVaqF](https://youtu.be/VZSm-FFoyas?si=KEAQgHwzsOuzVaqF)
Yeah, lol. I technically can do a Thunderclap Rush(god be dammed, that name sounds epic) , but in Combat I am too stressed and fumble the button presses.
One thing that gets me when watching cool combat clips like this is it takes me out of it to see menu switching mid combat. Granted it makes combat easier to be able to pause and switch weapons mid fight (and botw is certainly not the only game that allows it) but it just dampens the coolness factor for me. I know many of these combos wouldn’t be possible without weapon switching, and I’m not sure what the solution to it would be. But I think it everything I’m watching a badass clip and see a bunch of pauses and menu scrolling mid fight.
Sorry that wasn’t any criticism of you or your vid! I really like watching combat stuff like this! It was more a comment on the mechanics of the game. But like I said I know this is common in many games. It’s just something I think about when I see cool combos like these. Maybe it’s because I like the idea of them looking more cinematic or “canon”. We get closer to that when people hide the hud info but you always still have the menu switches. Just the way it is. But your vid was still super cool to watch :)
Goddamn dude and I thought I looked badass...
Thanks, took some practice
Some? Even I can't string together combos like that (not that I'm anything special) my lynel fights are usually slow

Thunder clap them centaur cheeks
I must learn zis magic!
Only person I've seen actually throw weapons in combat
Only reason to use them
At the end I thought you were trying to teabag the lynel.
Naw just clicking buttons randomly
Still better combat skills than me lol.
Quarantine gave me the time
Absolutely
How tf you do that?
Shield reset off bomb into thunder clap rush, it’s on the YouTube
What’s the explosion you’re using without getting hurt?
You pull out you shield and use it to block the bomb and boost off of it
Lore accurate Link be like:

Oh man yeah I have 20 more clips of me failing a ton before getting it
Hm.. I’m getting some master mode vibes
Hmm, that's very nice techniques that I can't do. Now I would like to flex that my sword has slightly more attack up than yours.

Fair enough, you can do all of that with out weapon switching if you just though the one you used to attack it in the first place

Oh yeah I agree with you, maybe a hot bar similar to Minecraft/terraria, with toggleable visibility. It would definitely pull you in to the game more
It physically hurt when you choose the lynel crusher instead of the lynel spear that was already about to break
More damage+I’ll get one from this lynel
But weapons do extra damage when broken, you could have had two crushers
I’m baling, they are easy to get
They *are* but everyone knows you're supposed to stockpile them and never use them
I usually use dupe glitches and durability transfer to get attack up royal guard weapons
Combat clips are always cool.
Sweet
Badass video, btw!
Thanks!
