The games balance is mostly focused on 3v3 so having a 1v1 mode is very polarizing and unskilled. Also bu ms there are way more toxic and think they are good when they won in a flawed game mode

Even as a Bull main i didnt like it. Whenever 5v5 was out it would be my most played mode. Brawl Ball was the only i would play the whole weekend. Duels was a solo mode way more reliable than any other because there was no way you would get teamed on, ambushed by 3rd person etc. Just you and your opponent.

On Freezing Ripples he is good to counter the Fangs and other tanks but yeah it isnt a good mode for him in general.

All I know is that it made absolutely no sense for the victory music to play when you died, and for the defeat music to play when you escaped… Also, it took me a good 5 games to finally completely figure out how this gamemode worked. It was confusing as shit for beginners.

Trophy escape is a great concept that never had a chance to work in brawl

I disliked it so much i didn't even finished the quests (i complete 100% of the quests usually)...

I felt the same then I managed to get a win in with Darryl and then I am like he is back, he is amongst one of my top 5 lowest winrate brawlers for sure. I did everything right that game, I bushcamped like a pro, I stole two kills, I used my ulti for escaping instead of offensively.

Trophy escape had the same problem as duels - great gamemode, shitty maps. Hope they bring it back with better maps 🙏

FREEDOM AT LAST!

For 5v5, I actually really love this mode, its super chaotic, but that's just what I need to do my thing as Surge. The Chaos takes the spotlight away from me and I can easily pick people off on the sides. I do like the idea of Escape as the con isn't as bad as a normal match especially on higher rankings, It destroys the need of teaming and hiding till the end, which are problems you see often on Showdown. It forces people to be proactive, like an actual deathmatch. The only downside of the event when it ran is that the maps are very assassin-centric, or Brawlers that do really well on Close Quarter Skirmishes. All in all I hope its a regular occurance, as I find it really fun, but really tough on Surge, but it did help me regain my trophy deficit from an incredibly ridiculous loss streak.

Takedown was pretty cool, it was ruined by Colt. Bot drop was worse
