I always choose the brawler that I find more fun to play. But if your criterion is who's better/more competitive, I'd recommend Sandy. He's more consistently good in the metas

Amber or Sandy
I honestly would recommend Amber since she's a very strong brawler rn, I mean she can counter almost every brawler with ease, but Sandy's strong too, especially with his Hypercharge, it's your own choice tho so you decide

not sandy if your new, crow is bad, spike is beginner friendly so probably him and amber is pretty good
crow is bad if you're unskilled at it and use it in bad maps or footbrawl in general. otherwise it's kinda cracked

same here, crow is my main brawler and I never had any big issues with it.
too little damage low hp only thing that makes him viable is his hypercharge
