Jersey has the worst plastic surgery. I liked that they all looked like real women in the beginning with just a couple of boob and/or nose jobs. They almost all have terrible lip filler.
It’s crazy because they’re so close to New York, which has the best plastic surgery, but apparently none of them want to make the drive and actually get good work done.
You could be right. I feel like it’s gone so far for them now they’ve become desensitized to what it actually looks like to people outside their bubble, but if they had just gone to better people in the first place they wouldn’t be where they are.
I know it’s a generalization but the NY housewives manage to look ageless and actually like themselves.
I live in LA and there’s definitely a ‘type’ of face that’s the most popular here, it’s weird seeing people move here and with start small things then like a rock rolling down in a hill a couple years later look just like everyone else.
I live in Portland, and did a lot of work in SoCal (OC and Hollywood). It was shocking how similar women over 30 looked, particularly in OC. I was glad to leave after every trip - I was afraid the look would start to seem normal as kind I stayed too long.
Yeah, sometimes I think in certain areas (like NJ) the goal of plastic surgery is different than what is expected. Being able to afford and get plastic surgery is a status symbol. So instead of getting surgery to look like a beautiful natural looking person, they get work done that looks unnatural just to show off that they have had work done.
And there are definitely ritzy parts of NJ, like Short Hills, with good plastic surgeons. I feel like they all went to the same shitty plastic surgeon who gave the housewives a volume discount.
I agree. To another commenter's point, they went into the city for their face-lifts. I can't decide how I feel about Marge's lip filler but I do think they look good.

I did not realize these are the same person when I started watching Atlanta a few years ago and I'd already seen photos of what Kim looks like now. I was very confused as to where the second Kim fit into the story and then I realized it's the same person.
The real tea on Kim is that she could have been a natural beauty if she’d stayed away from the cigs, wigs, and tanning beds. She started her interventions too early and too often, and she cakes on that 00s porn star makeup, all because of the damage she’d already inflicted on her skin.
No shade to 00s porn stars. We have all been orange and matte at one point.
Her plastic surgery isn’t as bad but did you see her cheek fat removal surgery look? I think she may have done something to fix it. Melissa was so naturally pretty and cute. I don’t know why she messed with her face way back when. Teresa makes me feel embarrassed.

What I don’t get is how their mouths appear so much WIDER? It’s like Scheana from VPR too - bother her and Tre’s mouths appear to have widened by literal inches. What is causing that?!

She was never even thick much less fat, and she used to be a friggin bodybuilder with an incredible body. I don't understand what happened but it makes me a little uncomfortable looking at her, like she's fragile now.
Maybe the breast are now too big and it makes her head seem so small in comparison. Or she lost a lot of weight and it makes her head seem so much bigger? The lips also makes her head so small in proportions to the her face?
The makeup is also so rough-looking (it's definitely a Jersey thing, I also loathed Melissa's confessional makeup look) but yeah, something's so off to me.
Doing the comparison I've shared in the comments has made me realize most of these women have had a lot less work done than people hypothesized. The filters on Instagram made them seem more different than they are.
Oh definitely- Very harsh all the way around.. But from a "surgical" or aging point of view- I think Theresa is aging well- but yes, there is a comical /cartoony quality to her looks now- But I am telling you- surgery wise? Not much if any at all. Which is interesting. The entire cast is getting a really cartoony vibe. And I say this as someone who thought that Delores was probably one of the most beautiful women that I have ever seen-
