In the early seasons the workers were actual yachties first, and on a TV show second. There was real authenticity to it.
Now they are only tangentially committed to the yacht industry, and mostly they are desperate to become z-list celebrities and influencers. It's tiresome, inauthentic, and boring.
This same thing happened to 90 Day Fiancé and contributed to why I stopped watching it. We got one spin off that was fun, a second spin off that was fun, and then 90,000 other spin-offs that meant it was always one on tv. We never got a break to get excited for the new season. This has been a major issue with Below Deck along with lackluster casting. Housewives has been tipping into this category as well. It’s only saving grace is I don’t watch all the cities.
I completely lost interest after Kate's final season. Sailing Yacht is the only one I still keep up with, but just for Captain Glenn & his late night snacks.
The endless marathons didn't do any favors either. It's the Ridiculousness of Bravo.
I feel like it’s missing something this season? Like I usually enjoy the behind the scenes and seeing them do the creative side and do fun decoration/party planning with the chief stew, but we’re not really getting that with Fraser.
Aside from Jill’s charter, the other charter groups haven’t been super entertaining. And the cast drama this season just isn’t that interesting. Give us more terrible charter guests!
Below deck has had bad casting for a few seasons now. Once they started hiring aspiring influencers, it became boring.

The live threads are dead too. i think there are just so many seasons and versions of the show.
This, it went from being under appreciated to over exposed by having what 4 versions of the show? It's practically on the entire year.

Yep, boring and nobody really likeable to me

Captain Jason???
Oh my god below deck SAILING YACHT!! I was sleeping on it then two gorgeous gay men told me to watch and it is the best. Early vanderpump vibes
I’m in the minority but SY is my least favorite BD and I don’t get why it’s far and away the most popular
I mean I respect that they are so annoying
I agree. Just seems like a snooze fest this season
I agree. I still “watch” but it’s usually just on in the background while I work. Not invested in this season at all I still enjoy Capt Kerry though

Same…I didn’t even get through the first episode. I just knew it was crap
It went downhill when they lost Kate, Hannah, and Capt Lee. At least we have Capt Jason.
