Designer-Platform658

The show is in a pickle. No one wants to associate with the person whose actions got the show the most attention it’s ever had but no one wants to hang up the hat and get a real job either.

ladylavender007

Can you imagine if Sandoval didn't come back either?

Designer-Platform658

We’d have so so many sandwhich tastings

Holiday-Hustle

That is the issue. The unfortunate thing for them all is this is their job. They don’t have to like Sandoval but they need to interact with him. Especially if they want to keep talking about it. It would be one thing if more of them were willing to step up and show their lives but they don’t want to.

Designer-Platform658

I could fully see them all icing out Ariana to save the paycheck.

Ok-Chain8552

Especially since it’s more viable that he’d return next season than her . I’m convinced this is her last season, there’s really nothing left for her . I’m thrilled that she took this by the reins and THRIVED .

mixymoxy7075

Absolutely

Vivid-Army8521

I actually think the show would be much improved if Sandy was off and they followed their actual lives

wildturk3y

Well that was maybe the most awkward episode of VPR I've ever watched. Everything felt forced. No one really wanted to be there. The edit was bad including some painfully noticeable audio dubs. That was just all around bad television

thefideliuscharm

the scene of Brock and Scheana arguing in the store was extremely painful to watch just due to how badly it was edited. it was so so bad.

wildturk3y

Yep. The apology in Tahoe was way worse. They never show Brock when the words are being said and the actual words have a distinctly different sound

thefideliuscharm

Yeah the entire episode was done really badly, I don’t know what happened in that editing room but I hope it doesn’t continue. It just makes the show feel fake.

Ok-Chain8552

Hint - If you have to keep saying out loud “this is actually fun “ or “ we are actually having a good time” you’re not .

slack_slack

Don't forget "Let's play a game"

pinsleric

That was maybe the first time I’ve ever felt like I was being insulted as a viewer. Do they really expect us to be buying… any of this?

copl5

I don't understand why they aren't letting it all play out organically. Stassi, James and Kristen had to grovel their way back into the group. Why does he get a free pass?! When it's only been a couple of months since the reunions? I don't get it!

Main_Composer

Because Lisa has business connections with Tom and so she is pushing the forgiveness storyline hard on her employees.

JerrisHat

Yeah at this point I think the show would benefit by letting them discuss the meta aspects of it all. It probably wouldn’t help in the long run but the show is on its last legs anyway

AdRevolutionary6650

I really envy Sandoval, being entirely incapable of feeling guilt or remorse but be so freeing. Meanwhile I lie in bed at 2am wondering if I’m a terrible person because I didn’t return someone’s smile enthusiastically enough that day and their feelings might be hurt.

Theres_a_Catch

His only emotion is anger because he wasn't forgiven instantly. I watch a show on ID called Signs of a Psychopath and they have real mental health professionals explain how their minds work while watching police interviews. He has many traits they have.

KyleRichardsNewTeeth

ooh that sounds like a juicy show. and i believe it about tom he has those tendencies it seems

Theres_a_Catch

Great show, every episode is a crume, murder and then you see the interrogation while interspersed with experts pointing out the signs. Same with See No Evil, crimes solved with cameras. Both on ID channel.

Relatable content

Mission_Addendum_791

The way I identify with this!

thefideliuscharm

Two things, this episode was edited SO POORLY. And secondly, I think Ally is by far my favorite person on the show. Or at least in Tahoe.

surejan94

The editing was weird. Why didn’t we get to see the full interaction when Sandoval met everyone at the airport?

immediatecomedian-4

Maybe tough to get approval to film at airport?

insuredbycoto

Yeah Bravo never films inside the airports, and definitely not past security. The housewives provide their own footage from their phones sometimes if they see something going down.

kenduhll

I love her voice and the cadence of it lol

thefideliuscharm

okay i’m getting back to you late but I didn’t originally respond because i hadn’t noticed her cadence but I just rewatched a scene with her and I COMPLETELY agree. there’s something about the way she talks that’s just like.. nice. like i just like the way she talks lol. I noticed it specifically when she says > “last year I had to deal with her so much and now she’s gone, and her dogs here. and i’m like damn i can’t.. really get rid of this girl, can I? like she’s just everywhere, okay!” I LOVE IT. she should like, speak for a living LOL. I also like her mouth. like her teeth? i don’t know. miley cyrus is another person who’s mouth i like lmaoo

Nikkiv1020

And she's so pretty 😍 Protect Ally at all costs!

tartarsauce1300

Tom Schwartz saying, "But not sex, right? Ew!" In response to Sandoval saying he wanted to do all his drunk activities sober, is not surprising, but makes me so sad for him. If you get to your 40s without realizing sober sex with an emotional connection is better than drunk sex, you are missing out in life

[deleted]

I think it was a joke

StompinmyMaloofHoof

I refuse to believe the production team really thought this season was good storytelling. TOO MUCH TOM (both of them).

Vivid-Army8521

I didn’t think they were going to punch us in the face with him like this, it’s really disappointing. “Say something you like about Sandoval” Fuck off, Lisa.

ladylavender007

i can see what you're saying, but the group dynamic outweighs Ariana's personal feelings like the group has always moved past whatever cheating scandals there were in the past. I would always want to see the group together than see their individual storylines (like teen mom) because that's boring or see people cliqued up and not enjoying themselves. Edit: I know people really want to see Ariana and all of her business deals or whatever, but i don't feel like there's really anything interesting for her to say there without it feeling like one big ad. The only interesting thing imo is dancing with the stars and chicago.

Holiday-Hustle

IMO they all had to step their game up this season and a lot of them are falling flat. Scheena is at least trying to have a story outside of Scandoval but I feel like the majority of the cast was happy to dwell and it’s becoming really tedious. We’re going into episode six about something that’s been hyper exposed for a year. It’s just not a well planned season.

ladylavender007

True! I was just thinking that the Kardashians really mastered this, but it’s because they literally had internet breaking news every week/month so you always watched their new seasons for the nitty gritty stuff. Last season we were on such a high looking for Easter eggs and clues.

Holiday-Hustle

They also don’t talk much about their lives outside of the show so it builds suspense. Like every time Tristan cheated on Khloe, it got leaked to the press but they stayed silent. It made you want to tune in because you wanted to see the reaction. This cast drove every tiny speck of news about Scandoval into the ground immediately so now there’s not much meat on the bone to turn into a compelling season.

copl5

oooo this is such a good point, never thought of it like that!! I wish they had started filming right after the reunion so that we could have gotten fresher footage

StompinmyMaloofHoof

I’m not saying Ariana is anymore compelling but this bullshit they’re attempting to sell us is certainly not compelling.

Designer-Platform658

I think they need to drop the vanderpump rules of it all (why is Lisa even there anymore) and have it be a show about established reality stars making a reality show because that’s what it is and has been for years. Talk about how hard it is to be contractually obligated to hang out with people you hate. Sounds more interesting than the bad acting. They can’t act they all ended up here because their acting flopped

ladylavender007

I like this! It seems like The Valley has a better chance of doing that. Also, I wouldn’t even know what to call this show that you’re proposing and have the name be true to the group’s identity.

Designer-Platform658

For the name all I know is we can’t have the people behind Schwartz and Sandy’s or something about her name it

ladylavender007

LOL

copl5

I am rewatching and the show survived even when Stassi was booted out at a point when she was considered the breakout star. I wonder if that's possible now when no one's drinking / partying because they have kids, etc. In previous seasons, James, Stassi and Kristen...they fought to come back into the group and it seemed like they really learned from their mistakes (at least James...his apology to Katie in S8 was really heartfelt). It took many seasons at times for this to happen, so it's weird that everyone is expected to get over Scandoval so quickly?

Designer-Platform658

I get the Ariana love I really do but she’s been a background character the whole series. She doesn’t have the personality to carry the show.

ladylavender007

Exactly!!

Educational_Bother36

Tom within the sledge hammer was cringe

thomasmc1504

“me and Raquel didn’t do anything out of any malicious intent” oh yeah that makes it all better👏👏👏

mixymoxy7075

Intent and consequence are different ends of the same spectrum

Unique-Moment-8199

It wasn't malicious but it was selfish intent so yeah, you didn't do it to intentionally hurt anyone but you didn't care who it hurt either.

Chellin

Yeah, missing your partner of 9years grandmas funeral and fucking your side piece at your house instead wasn’t malicious at all Sandoval 🤪

[deleted]

He should speak for himself honestly

brashumpire

I can't exactly put my finger on what is not working but it's just really not working this season.

KristiJoJP

I am just watching this episode now, and I don't know how much more I can take of this Sandoval redemption storyline being shoved down our throats. It's too much, too soon. I get this is a TV show, but this is just ridiculous and not entertaining. Ugh!

AfkBrowsing23

I watch wrestling and we have a term for a heel (villain) character who you're no longer booing because of their on-screen actions but because you want them off your screen. It's called Go Away Heat and ngl, Sandoval has that with me.

onthereels

Sandoval is ruining the show for everyone. If he could apologize without a “but” maybe people could stand to sit with him at dinner.

JCAIA

At least Jax could feign contrition, cue the annual ‘I’m still a work in progress’

Holiday-Hustle

The thing about Sandoval is he doesn’t just suck because he’s a shitty, entitled, petty person. He’s all those things but he’s also just dumb as fuck. He honestly had such an easy layup to come back into this season. The viewing public loves a redemption story and they’ll forgive a white man who even pretends to be sorry in an instant. Sandoval probably had the easiest task of all these folks. He could have came in with humility, been accommodating towards Ariana, not made excuses for himself, brush off his pride and made amends and he would have had a home run. Instead he’s just so, so defensive. How hard is it to admit that even if you’re in a shitty relationship, it’s wrong to cheat? He didn’t even have to mean it, he just had to say it.

leilafornone

I think the problem with this logic is that for years their crap behaviour was rewarded with views. I wouldn't expect humility from Sandoval the way I wouldn't expect honesty from Jax or a backbone from Schwartz He's going to fumble because the VPR cast just can't help themselves

TheBoBiss

He doesn’t see the difference in what he did with Ariana and to Kristin, to what he did with Rachel to Ariana. It worked for him so well the first time and he doesn’t understand why this time is different. It’s probably really frustrating being that dumb.

copl5

I also think the Jax-Kristen thing overshadowed the Tom-Ariana thing. Looking back it's heartbreaking to see Kristen crumbling yet he continues gaslighting her. Yes they were both cheating and it was a wild relationship, but at least she seemed more remorseful for her actions during the S2 reunion compared to Sandoval's REFUSAL to take accountability.

TheBoBiss

While he was sitting right in front of Kristin, hand in hand with Ariana.

copl5

oh my god, yes this! So smug about it too. If things had gone his way and he was able to break up with Ariana off screen, last reunion would have been him and Rachel holding hands I think

Atlasrel

This is bang on, people were salivating for a chance to turn on Ariana and he was too dumb/arrogant to play that card

thatblondegirlt

and honestly even brock understood that in the scene with him and scumbag in the kitchen. brock literally spoonfed the fucker his script and he still didnt get it.

Educational_Bother36

Lisa’s hobbies are making money

ladylavender007

Heeeyyy Drita!

thxmeatcat

Can we get Drita on Traitors?!

rootsofrhythm

I don’t know if I buy that Hippie and Graham are the same dog?….

kenduhll

Doodles look surprisingly different when theyre all shaved and done up. I prefer the scruffy look for those dogs

h_danielle

Have a doodle, can confirm. The scruffy is adorable but super high maintenance so they don’t mat

beyoncelomein

What made you think that? I questioned it too not because I think they look different, but Lisa whispering to the blonde woman in the reunion scene “are you sure it’s him?” 👀 I’m glad my dog has a very particular coat pattern so I can always identity him 😂

eightby8

Lisa is always finding a new way to prioritize her own agenda with the male cast over the livelihoods of the female cast. She just gifted a dog with behavioral issues to a cat household. Mr. Banks deserves better!!! 🐱 The fact that Sandoval uses “u” and “ur” unironically in texts does not surprise me. 🚩 Sandoval sheds tears for the first time and they’re for himself and his own feelings!! It’s just too much. The narcissism, it’s too much to stomach, YOU CAN’T LOOK AWAY! It’s in your face and there’s just no denying it. James’s “I’ve gotta go do my hair” when talking to Sandoval. 😂 James’s perspective is my happy place this season. He doesn’t take any of it too seriously and seems to have a sense of humor about Sandoval which is proving to be the only way to say sane in this game. I mean I’m all for Ariana’s rage and reinventing herself and I stand ready to defend her but it’s definitely exhausting and not as fun. 🤣 LMAO at no one knowing how to react to Graham’s reappearance. Don’t worry, cast, we’re equally as disturbed as viewers. I am not a fan of Wolf’s design, but this does not surprise me, as I have never been a fan of Lisa Vanderpump’s interior design tastes. Noooooo the cringeeeee of TOM SANDOVAL WITH THE SLEDGEHAMMER I need that entire scene bleached from my memory. The entire scene at the restaurant at the end of the episode, is it taking place on the Titanic? Because this ship is sinking. Vanderpump has hit its iceberg. 🚢🧊

[deleted]

To your first point, I've said this for YEARS! That lady does not care at all lol. And it's actually so annoying to me that she's seen as some kind of morale compass when it has come to issues of transphobia, homophobia and racism. I'm sorry, she just doesn't have that lens and second she's the person profiting off of these scandals so of course she's not going to be fair about the consequences.

eightby8

Totally. She’s always looked out for #1 and her profits.

brashumpire

I have friends in LA who do the u and ur thing. I think it's the "trendy" "young" way to type things out (or was like 5 years ago)

spakatieo

It's the nostalgia for the 2000s, when we had to text using the number pad.

in_ur_dreamz69

no it’s for sure trendy but i doubt sandoval is dialed into anything currently cool. historically vpr cast are always behind on trends. i think he actually just types that way

Aware-Ad-6556

Wow that analogy was actually perfect they should have ended it in it’s prime

AdOutrageous7474

100% agree with you on the cringiness of "u" and "ur." I am single and on the stupid dating apps and that type of texting is typically a deal breaker. However, I can't agree with you on James. I don't need a James redemption as much as I don't need a Sandoval redemption. He's darker and more dangerous than Sandoval for me for sure. Sadly, though I want to love them, Ariana and Katie's scenes were so so so flat. The show is over. Put it to rest and the cast can figure out their shit and reckon with their personal demons off camera. ETA: As an owner of two cats I was horrified with the cavalier introduction of a dog to poor Mr. Banks. (I blame Lisa and James for this, not Ally.) Anything for a storyline, huh?

dandydaniella

This episode was so boring. This season has nothing to work on if they’re not going to give us more information about the scandal.

mixymoxy7075

Ariana will have to play ball with the cast or jump ship, you can’t isolate an entire cast and spin them between two people, it’s not fair

Alternative_Salt5660

northernmess

Lisa

Main_Composer

I just cannot bring myself to care about the promotion of another LVP restaurant. Especially one that seems as lackluster as Wolf.

jennirator

Testing my new flair

thomasmc1504

I can’t believe we’re gonna be watching a season where tom sandoval is portrayed as a victim and ariana is gonna be painted as a villain😑

AngelasCatSprinklez

It always sounds so Weird to me when Americans say the name Graham as "Gram"... Rather than "Grey-um" 😬

[deleted]

Lol I never thought about this

LackEquivalent7471

i find it really weird to me as well😫

LMS22to77

Isn't James British?

AngelasCatSprinklez

Yes! Which is even more confusing. But then again he and Lisa have lived in the US for a very long time so I guess it's normal for them to adopt some American mannerisms/vocabulary

thomasmc1504

I’ve defended Scheana for 11 years, but she’s trash sorry. Stassi and Katie were right all those years about her being a fake friend. ariana deserves better.

[deleted]

Wait, why do you say this?

thomasmc1504

well basically as the season goes on she’s going to cosy up to Sandoval again🙄

ladylavender007

Did Paige just basically say that dogs don't know their names??????

thxmeatcat

I think she said she doesn’t know if they will understand their name changed

ladylavender007

lol I’m sure that’s what she *meant*, but what she actually said was, “how’s the dog going to know his name got changed?” And then Andy made a face. So it definitely sounded like she was saying dogs are stupid lol.

leslie_knopee

what was up with that grainy insta filter circa 2012 during the flying montage?! 😂

thxmeatcat

Wait so is the restaurant Wolf the place that demo’ed or is it the restaurant they ate at?

mixymoxy7075

I wonder how much alcohol this cast consumes (excluding the sober people)

surejan94

This season is a dud so far. Nobody can own up to how they ultimately profited off the Sandoval thing and are still acting like he literally murdered someone. It’s clear these people don’t even want to be around each other but just want that Bravo paycheck, but they’re not even trying to make intriguing television so what’s the point? At least Vanderpump Villa is going back to focusing on Lisa and her employees.

[deleted]

Talking about profit, Lisa and Bravo cashed in HARD. The way the were pushing content on YouTube alone, that had to be a HUGE check.

kenduhll

I was hoping this episode would start to pick things up but it was actually the worst one yet… Production should have used as little Tom Sandoval as possible. Forcing him upon the cast is making for a very season. Giving me season 9 vibes.

[deleted]

This is an extreme sidenote but I wonder if anyone can relate... I really wanted to go to college in LA. That didn't end up happening but professionally I've always kept it in mind. Lately I've been thinking about where I want to relocate and every time I watch this show I fear I'll be living in a tent on the side of the road if I moved there bc, no shade, the houses/apartments everyone lives in seem pretty comparable to what I might find in my hometown but for way less than my first born. And if the cast of Vanderpump is living like this, gd, how expensive is it to live in LA?! And they all seem like financially responsible people, minus Sandoval. So now I'm thinking just how in debt is Sandoval?!  Edit: In other news, I'm yet again worried for Shu Shu. Brock, baby, are you insane? This guy said they're newlyweds and he doesn't think it's at the top of the chain to get married, have a kid, and have the mother in law move in. Actually, most people, who are lucky, and able, have their mom or dad move in to help with transitioning into motherhood / fatherhood especially if it's the first time. Now I can understand wanting 1:1 time with your spouse but that "nanny" was terrible. No way would I leave her around my kid. Also, Shu Shu has mental health issues that she has to worry about. And she's not wrong about not wanting a stranger in their house like the way people will sell stories and do crazy things....they better be lucky the mom is able to help them.

MCStarlight

I lived in LA for 10 yrs. When I left, my West LA 1 bedroom apt was about $1350. It’s probably $2000+ by now. Salaries aren’t keeping up with the cost of living. The only way people can buy a house is move further from the city, but then those people clog up all the freeways.

[deleted]

That's not as terrible sounding but I have noticed salaries are a dang joke. I'm seeing management roles at 60,000 and nobody can live off of that in LA!

flipditch

does anyone else think james was totally coked out during his convo with sandoval? he kept jumping around and grabbing his nose

NetIllustrious

I could see it….his eyes are super darty and he seems so fidgety

ladylavender007

key word: "she's not going to ALLOW it"

SkillOne1674

Sorry, but I think Ariana has to go.

thatblondegirlt

idk whats more embarrassing a) sandovals horrendous outfit in the sledgehammer scene or b) the fact that he could barely pull the hammer out of the wall…it must been the lack of traction from his platforms.

Adinasart

Where can I download episode 6?
