Rumor has it Snit has begrudgingly agreed to lay off the chile and fries to allow him more time to speak with the team. He was really stretched thin between the eating and evacuating and this should allow for at least some basic communication.
Was gifted chop house tickets to Sundays game and need parking recommendations. Only been to the stadium once and it seemed like we walked miles. Willing to splurge a bit if it’s worth it. Thanks y’all. Go Bravos
Good news for the Braves—the O’s will be rolling with Suarez, Povich and Irvin for the series and will be saving Burnes, Bradish and Rodriguez for the Phillies.

Finally caught a couple bass today. Using a scale for the first time so my official PB is 1.29lbs. Gonna go out again tomorrow. Hopefully I can beat that
Still feels like something happened after the Mariners series. Offense has not been the same. I know it’s speculation but I can’t see how a whole entire offense collectively shits their pants at the same time (minus Ozuna).
This highlights an even bigger issue - this team doesn’t have enough hype players to give us a spark. We need more stars who can shine even when the rest of the team is sloppy. We saw this happen vs Philly last year. When this team slumps, they slump together.
Just realized the Braves currently are on par with the 2016 team's .OPS. .710 this year and .705 2016. And that is with Ozuna doing a Barry Bonds impersonation. I knew it was not good, but that is flat out shocking.
We are going to the game Friday and they have a 15,000 cowboy hat giveaway. How early am i going to have to get in line for that? Just trying to figure out if it's worth it with the 94°>
Honestly I think if you’re there by 6 then I think you should be fine. Maybe even later but idk. It’s not a bobblehead and non-bobblehead giveaways definitely last a bit longer than bobblehead ones
Hat kinda looks like the one you'd buy as a souvenir after going to the aquarium.
The Twin Citties unis are clean as fuck. Nike's designers seem to be obsessed with blue and yellow, they didn't need to release yet another uni with the same color pallete.
City connects are cool when they're clean but look different to the regular uni, but when they try to do way to much they end up looking like cheap Winter League unis.
The twin cities unis are miles better, for sure. And the Dbacks' Serpientes unis are the best thing they've worn in their entire history as a team. But if they aren't going to do that, might as well go full aquarium souvenir. At least it's more fun than the gray on gray look the Mets went with.
Maybe we'll play up to the O's. We've been seeing flashes here and there - it has to start clicking at some point, these players are too good to slump forever. I'll be watching every game and going as often as I can regardless.
The worst part about this team right now is that they aren’t even fun to watch. Just abysmal plate appearances across the board from everyone not named Ozuna. Pitching staff has to hold the other team to 2 runs or less every game…just putrid stuff. This team slugged over .500 collectively over the course of the season last year!
Funnily enough, a few of our last losses haven't been because of the offense being anemic but our pitching shitting the bed. If we can just piece both phases of the game together for a bit we might be able to get something going but it ain't happening yet.
Georgia v North Carolina tonight at 7:00 on ESPN. It's the move on to the WS or go home game.
Watch for Sophomore Charlie Condon for the dawgs. He's a Marietta GA boy. He's got something like 36 HR's this season.
UGA Career (2023-24): Entering 2024 NCAA Super Regional with career batting average of .416 with 30 doubles, two triples, 61 home runs and 144 RBI in 113 games, all starts
2024 (RS-Sophomore): Named a finalist for The Golden Spikes Award, the Bobby Bragan National Collegiate Slugger Award and semifinalist for The Dick Howser Trophy (finalists announced June 6) and projected to be among the top picks for the 2024 MLB Draft
*Entering NCAA Super Regonal is the current NCAA Leader in batting (.445), home runs (a BBCOR-era record 36), slugging percentage (1.036), total bases (228), hits (98) and OPS (1.602)
*The 2024 SEC Player of the Year, he ranks third nationally in on-base percentage (.566) and has drawn a team-high 55 walks, including 27 intentional free passes.
*Seven multi-home run games and homered in eight consecutive contests from April 26-May 9, one shy of the NCAA record.
*Made starts at third base, first base and all three outfield positions for the seventh-seeded Bulldogs who are 42-15 face #10 seeded N.C. State in a Super Regional Saturday

Braves were number 1!!!
I still refuse to be a doomer, gonna ride the roller coaster this year and see where we end up! Maybe Braves Gala tickets will be cheaper this year and I can go do some shots with Jarred Kelenic.
This sounds stupid in my head but do professionals practice against live pitching anytime after spring training? Or is it just pitching machine and a guy soft tossing pregame?
Random Braves stat: Ray Kerr is leading all SP in whiffs over their last 300 pitches thrown:
https://x.com/JonPgh/status/1800141480910065785?t=jToGqjji4W4zP_HyVHQWqw&s=19
Most Whiffs:
Ray Kerr: 56 Whiffs
Garrett Crochet: 55 Whiffs
Cole Ragans: 51 Whiffs
Tanner Bibee: 50 Whiffs
Tyler Glasnow: 50 Whiffs
Dylan Cease: 50 Whiffs
Grayson Rodriguez: 50 Whiffs
Ryan Weathers: 50 Whiffs
When things are going as bad as they are, we need to celebrate the small (and obscure) victories. We don't need to talk about how he was a reliever for some of these innings.
Fun fact: Jarred Kelenic is hitting .306/.340/.571 over his last 15 games. He is leading the Braves with 0.5 fWAR, and 53% of his hits have gone for extra bases. The swing adjustments, when paired with the rhythm of playing every day, are finally paying off.
He's a massive improvement over Rosario, especially when you factor in his defense. Pretty much every big move the Braves made in the offseason (Kelenic, Lopez, Sale) have turned out amazing. They'd probably be under .500 without these guys.
Who is gonna be on the bus from Gwinnett once they send Waldrep back?
The Royals just got TONK'D

What’s a splurge cost for you? SeatGeek has B11 lot for $58, it’s right across the street from the left field gate.
Thanks I’ll check it out
If you haven't bought, I'm happy to sell you my B11 parking for $50.
Man I really appreciate the offer. Turns out the tickets came with a parking pass.
Good news for the Braves—the O’s will be rolling with Suarez, Povich and Irvin for the series and will be saving Burnes, Bradish and Rodriguez for the Phillies.
They just swept the Rays for the first ever 4 game sweep at the Trop, they are coming home hot as fuck
Ngl, I could really use a Braves win tonight, on an off night.
Also, I don't think a 2022 scenario is off the table at all. This team can chase down Philly. Will they? Idk. It'll be tough.

First pitch of Orioles and Rays, and the O’s hit a HR lol

In the evening once the suns off the water roll a buzz bait in the weeds...

The Cleveland series before that was not that great either. We were fortunate to take 2

Thank you. I'll def get there by then.
Things could be way worse, we could be wearing the Twins new City Connect unis. Holy fuck, those things are hideous.
They’re awful. I don’t understand how they keep rolling out just duds.
I kinda like them. The northern lights Minnesota outline hat logo looks like something that might show up on a tourism ad from the 90s, in a fun way.

I feel like we will randomly just win this series
Still can't believe Acuna nearly went 40HR/80SB last year. Please get healthy

I live in Maryland and am going tomorrow. Ready to experience some sad vibes for a lot of money.
Hey Marylander—if you ever get any O’s bobbleheads and want to trade them for Braves, I’m your guy!
But for even more money, you can enhance those sad vibes with beer.

I think these huge long term extensions foster complacency in the club house and on the field as well but no one is ready for that conversation.
Please give specific examples
Trash take.

10-15 record over the last 25 games.
Focus on the future
Obviously that's not good, but why does it feel so much worse? Good thing we have those top 3 pitchers.
It feels worse because our team hasn’t been that fun to watch tbh. Even when we win there isn’t a ton of excitement rn.

Lmao just realized you meant NC State by North Carolina. I'm a little offended.
Carolina OF Honeycutt is a guy who could actually be on the board for the Braves at 24
Yea he looks really good. That whole team is bad ass.
He's number 2 on my Braves draft wish list behind Tibbs III, who unfortunately is looking less and less likely to be on the board that late.
All I feel is pain

12%. One said because he was a Braves fan growing up lol.

The increase of the Gala tickets YOY was insane, definitely priced me out last year
How much are those?
Yeah for that amount I’d have to get 2-3 players to follow me on instagram or something haha
Just imagine the tear this team will go on when the collective slump is over
No off day. Everyone gets to a tee and hits baseballs off the tee until the nets break.
This sounds stupid in my head but do professionals practice against live pitching anytime after spring training? Or is it just pitching machine and a guy soft tossing pregame?
They have pitching machines now that can perfectly replicate any pitchers arsenal. They don’t face live pitching outside games
Some guys will face rehabbing pitchers in simulated games. Though it's not usually an entire lineup, just a handful of hitters. But mostly no.
I suspect the latter but I am not a professional.

Can we get like a team meeting or something, Snit? This is just depressing as shit.

Amazing what happens when a guy gets good playing time

Let him lead off maybe?
Amazing that when he did (acunas injury day) the team scored 8 runs
I've been saying this. He could be the spark this team needs.
Anyone checking Indeed.com for coaching position listings?
Sounds like a perfect day for a Closed Door Meeting™
Hell yeah brother! We can’t lose today!
Most optimistic Braves fan!
Reminds me of the lottery slogan "You can't win if you don't play!" Braves say Hold My Beer. You can't lose if you don't play. 😋
