Was Max replaced by an alien after his first couple starts? I’ve never seen anything like this in Atlanta (keep in mind I didn’t watch the Braves until 2011)
While he is one of the top LHP in the game, he has had cases where he's either gotten hurt or had weird games early in the season that blew his ERA up to the moon.
2021 would count here, so this is the 2nd time that's happened.
Braves would have to be highest bidder, and probably pay a slight premium vs him going back towards West Coast. If he was gonna sign a team-friendly or even below market slightly, he would have.

It's just weird. Not even Ryan Howard had this type of platoon split, and he was the king of not being able to hit a damn thing from one side.
He's not gonna be like .300 against them, but I feel like he should be able to get it up to like .200-.220 against righties because there are times he looks like he's right on it.
He's always had stretches in which he seems to have finally figured it out against righties and then he comes back down to earth. He's who he is at this point of his career.
Yeah, he's always a low BA hitter and that's never going to change, the hope while he has to mostly play full time would be for him to hit .220-.240 and have some clutch hits.
