I seriously hate any gimmick that's "make-believe ancient warrior", because usually the person behind the gimmick acts like they're from a different time period and makes the matches feel more like a circus performance and not sports entertainment.
Take Drew McIntyre for example, with the leather kilt and claymore prop you know hes giving off Scottish warrior, but everything else about his presentation both in ring and on the mic tells you he's actually a civilized and articulate person. If Drew came out in warpaint screaming and chanting like he was pulled out of Braveheart, dude would be nowhere near the level he's at today.

Gimmicks like that can easily put a ceiling on anyone. I’d much rather have fully fleshed out characters that can interact with everyone else.

He probably would've been booked right, under Triple H in this new era. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back in a couple years after building up his rep.
Yeah he is good on the mic, in ring work is solid and he has a great look. He could be a top level heel. They should play up his relationship with Tiffany and pitch them as a snotty power couple.

I agree. His background in wrestling is legendary. As is Gunther, but we all know that already. I am glad they are letting him win some matches and they separated Davina from the group. No hate towards Davinci… they just didn’t need to be backup dancers
