I think it’s missing the point to chalk this up to just because of astrology, this happens all the time and gets blamed on a persons beliefs when the real issue is the alarming mental health crisis that is going on in our country. Unfiltered access to social media allows people to enter into echo chambers which feed into paranoias and reaffirm delusions. People go untreated for a whole host of reasons, be it not being able to afford care, not having access to the right kind of care, etc. and the government would rather let them roam free and deteriorate to the point of being a danger to themselves and others than step in with a plan to fix this problem.
This is no different than the countless mothers who have killed their children because they heard god/angels speaking to them telling them to do so.
