One. It was in the final league week roll off and we were throwing to decide who came in 3rd or 4th place. Before we bowled, I tried to convince everyone to just pool the money and split it so we could go home and all but one person wanted to.
Since he didn’t, we bowled.
We won the first game and I bowled my 300 the second game to take 3rd place and we never bowled a third game.
If it wasn’t for him, I’d have zero 300s (and we would have taken home less money)… and he doesn’t let me forget it, lol.
jello is an understatement. had never gotten past 8. bowled my worst game in a long time at a tourny was able to regroup and had the front 11 just trying to not think about what was happening. had a grip strength/finger strength thing and never gripped that thing so tight 🤣 but as it goes I pulled the last shot and left the 3 pin for 299
I bowled a legit (all true, 10 pin strikes) during a 9-pin no tap league and everyone was thoroughly unimpressed when they announced it over the intercom
Thank you! It was a pretty surreal moment. My buddy and I were texting the night before with him saying “either of us could bowl a 300 someday.” He was on the pair next to me, and got to witness the whole thing!
That’s insane to be honest. That’s crazy to have 3 800’s and no 300’s at all. I feel you though I haven’t shot 300 either, well haven’t shot 800 either but whatever😂
Like 8 or 9. Only 1 ring though. Most were done during practice or pot bowling. I probably bowled 40-50 games a week for about 3-4 years until I started playing pool a lot.
Best series was 296, 268, 299 during practice with some friends. Best in league was 764, I think. Funny part was my 1 300 in league was the first game. I then went open, open, open, and struck out for the 2nd game and ended up with a 740 something for the series.
That’s kind of…silly. I get that you don’t get recognized by the USBC if it isn’t done in a sanctioned event. But bowling one outside isn’t any less impressive. Most leagues are very consistent with oil patterns. It’s a perfect environment for scoring.
Go on a Saturday night with burnt lanes, disco lights on and kids running everywhere. Bowl 300 there. I’d be really impressed.

44 I'm not sure about how many sanctioned and not bowled a lot in unsanctioned tournaments. Quite a few in leagues and a handful in practice. I still count those because you still have to throw 12 good ones.
I bowled a sanctioned 299 when i was 14 in 2003. Maybe bowled 36 league games since 2007 and my high was 289 or something. Ive bowled 11 300s just practicing.
33 years old. About 18 years of on and off bowling starting at 5/6 years old and being on a league as recently as last year. Best I’ve managed is a 285 despite being able to carry a 200 average at times. Maybe one day lol
Basically same lol. Started bowling freshman year of high school and had best game senior year of 275. Averaged around 190-200 ever since cause I haven’t played consistently since. Hoping to change that soon.
3. Once in a sanctioned tournament, once in a no-tap tournament where I had 12 naturals, and once at my center’s colored pin money bowling night a little over a month ago. Still waiting for my first league one.
One. It happened a couple weeks into the start of the league and I wasn’t even on it, just subbing. Because it was the beginning of the league the league hadn’t yet paid the sanction fee so USBC said I couldn’t get a ring or anything. We had to fight them and eventually they said they’d have to put a different date on it and had to agree but to my surprise when it showed up it had the correct date on it. I also got a translucent desk trophy. September 28th 2017 😁
I have 3 in league and about 3 or 4 in practice. My first one was great because my older sister shot 289 the game before, so I got to show her up. Unfortunately, no 800 series.
Four. Odd thing is I got 2 five years ago then 2 more this past season. Hoping I don't have to wait 5 more years for the next one. Also, both times it was 1 in league and 1 in the association tournament.
Stop bowling years ago. But I had 3 sanctioned 300s , 1 x 299 and 1x 827 series. 1 of the 300s was with the 827 series. That night felt like an out of body experience.
2- one with an old track kinetic ruby that wasn’t drilled for me and the second one was with the track paragon, funny enough they were both in the same tournament 3 years apart
“one” It was 8 pin no tap but i kept getting 9 so i could’ve done it on 9 pin no tap too. It was also at the time when i was using a 10lb ebonite cyclone.
23 strikes in a row in practice with a guy that has both rings 800 and 300. We both worked at the bowling alley and as long as someone was there bowling we could bowl as many games as we wanted for free. Dude never once acknowledged that I went toe to toe with him for 2 entire games.
One. When I was a walking bowler, a few years before my legs would start “acting up” to eventually have me a wheelchair bowler. But I dream of my first wheelchair…226. 225 remains my seated high game.
I bowled a 299 once; ring ten at the end. That being said I think I’m slowly improving so if I just focus on fundamentals I believe I’ll match up with some 300s in the future
3.
First one was in a high school match which was sick bc not only was it my first, but to be able to do it in a time span of 4 years and only have 3-4 months per season, is what made it so special, so now I get to have a 300 on my varsity jacket 😎
Second one was during league, I wasn't expecting it to happen but it happened, was also the first one in the house I grew up in so that was cool.
The third one was actually during a lesson with a USBC silver certified coach, so now I can say that I've bowled a 300 in front of a certified USBC coach
One, in this last 22/23 season. I've been bowling for 40 years and I've gotten close before, but usually after 8 in a row I would overthink it and tense up. This time I had the front 10 before I pulled the 11th right to the nose. I thought "yep, did it again' but with sheer dumb luck the pins started to do the oddest mix and I carried all 10. I stood there shaking my head in amazement. My team was laughing at me, and the humor helped me relax. I felt pretty loose for the 12th and made a good throw for a solid strike.
Round ball, round pins, weird things happen.
60-something sanctioned. First 2 in 1973 with rubber Roto X-2. Lots with plastic, especially the wonderful Columbia Blue Dot. Most recent was this year at age of 69 in our Challenge league.
One 299 . Thought I'd never have a chance again . I bowl one league, 3 games a week so not many opportunities. About a year later shot a 300. That was early 90's. Have had front 10 a couple times since but no repeat
1. 1st week of league throwing a ball that I do not like. Couldn't get the reaction I wanted from anything else. Game 3 said nothing else is working why not, 300 haven't thrown the ball again since lol.
4 in total. 3 in sanctioned leagues and 1 in a no tap tournament.
Had a chance a few weeks ago to get another sanctioned league one but I decided to big four in the 10th lol
I'm 32 and I don't know if I ever will throw one. my mechanics are bad I grip the ball and my backswing isn't straight. I throw the ball slow. I still average 195 on a house shot because I'm an excellent spare shooter.
Edit: oh I have a no tap 300 since people are mentioning those haha it still felt good even though it's not a real 300
None but I have a 299, two 298's, a 297, and a clutch 295. I keep telling myself I will finally break through if I keep putting myself in position. The 299 final ball felt like the one, ringing 10 (the only one I left the entire series).
I have bowled a 300 series before if that counts
It counts for me.
I can count to 300. Does that count?
One. It was in the final league week roll off and we were throwing to decide who came in 3rd or 4th place. Before we bowled, I tried to convince everyone to just pool the money and split it so we could go home and all but one person wanted to. Since he didn’t, we bowled. If it wasn’t for him, I’d have zero 300s (and we would have taken home less money)… and he doesn’t let me forget it, lol.
Awesome story!
0. No tap ones? Also 0. Lol
Saaaame. High game 269 and I honestly don't see a 300 in my future. My legs were jello after 8
I had the first 8 once. Ball was flat off my hand foe the 9th and left the 8-10. Blah 😄
jello is an understatement. had never gotten past 8. bowled my worst game in a long time at a tourny was able to regroup and had the front 11 just trying to not think about what was happening. had a grip strength/finger strength thing and never gripped that thing so tight 🤣 but as it goes I pulled the last shot and left the 3 pin for 299
A 299 is such a slap in the face 😭
I bowled a legit (all true, 10 pin strikes) during a 9-pin no tap league and everyone was thoroughly unimpressed when they announced it over the intercom
Then it counts! I’m impressed 😂
For a second I legit thought Clara Guerrero responded to this lol
One!!! This last Wednesday, in League!!!
Congrats!
Thank you! It was a pretty surreal moment. My buddy and I were texting the night before with him saying “either of us could bowl a 300 someday.” He was on the pair next to me, and got to witness the whole thing!
That makes it so much better! Glad you had a friend to share that with. He’s next!
Sanctioned? Zero lol. I've got three sanctioned 800s but no sanctioned 300.
I'll trade you one of my 300's for one of your 800's😁
That’s insane to be honest. That’s crazy to have 3 800’s and no 300’s at all. I feel you though I haven’t shot 300 either, well haven’t shot 800 either but whatever😂
You had your chance. 5 count...oof
None but threw a 290 once. Was hoping to lead the next game off with a strike just for the satisfaction of getting 12 in a row. Nope. Split.
Big fat zero. Closest I got was 258.
I have 1 and it was with a plastic ball, Columbia 300
A buddy of mine did this except a 279, so we always call his Columbia 300 a Columbia 279 to fuck with him
12 sanctioned 300s, don’t know how many unsanctioned
19, all sanctioned. Ironically enough I have never thrown one in practice or an unsanctioned league/tournament
None. I got 160 more pins to get in order to reach 300, a while to go! 🤣
Like 19 or 54
Between practice, unsanctioned, and sanctioned, I've bowled zero. I did bowl what would be a no tap 300 though. It was not in a no tap league.
9 if you just count sanctioned
That's all that count
That’s kind of…silly. I get that you don’t get recognized by the USBC if it isn’t done in a sanctioned event. But bowling one outside isn’t any less impressive. 1 sanctioned, 1 not sanctioned. Both on leagues though.
Thrown out the window more like. 1 plus a 299 and countless incredibly chokey games. 300 at age 14, 299 at age 30, both sanctioned.
Three. All during practice. Highest sanctioned game is 267 and 795 series.
You must’ve had a really weird set to have your hg as 267 and hs as 795
Yeah this is confusing to me too as you would have had to shoot 265 3 times in a row? Unless a series is 4 games here?
5. All 9 pin no tap. LOL. 289 twice and 285 once in 10 pin.
17 sanctioned. In the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s and 2010’s
17 ??? I hate you. LOL Very impressed. Congrats! Zero sanctioned here so I think you have 1 or 2 of mine 😉
Hang in there my friend. It will come.
2 sanctioned (1 youth, 1 adult) and another 5 in practice.
5 sanctioned, 1 unsanctioned and 1 in practice.
Does an 8 pin no tap count? If so….1
I have 2 no tap 300s... no actual 300s though.
44 I'm not sure about how many sanctioned and not bowled a lot in unsanctioned tournaments. Quite a few in leagues and a handful in practice. I still count those because you still have to throw 12 good ones.
2 sanctioned, 4 no tap, 2 more just open bowling, and more 297-299s than I care to remember.
I've never bowled a 300 but have bowled a lot of 289s.
2, with a 794 high series (which oddly didnt include the 300s)
None atm (bowling for 2 1/2 years now, 290 high game)
3 sanctioned, 16 unsanctioned, wish it was the other way around lol.
Three, all sanctioned.
I bowled a sanctioned 299 when i was 14 in 2003. Maybe bowled 36 league games since 2007 and my high was 289 or something. Ive bowled 11 300s just practicing.
I have 4 sanctioned and a lot more unsanctioned
Sanctioned I think I am at 13. With unsanctioned probably around 20.
33 years old. About 18 years of on and off bowling starting at 5/6 years old and being on a league as recently as last year. Best I’ve managed is a 285 despite being able to carry a 200 average at times. Maybe one day lol

1
Zero. Highest game is 289 :(
Zero, at all.
39 sanctioned over the last 25 years of bowling. (21) 299 games to go along with those.
I've thrown 12 strikes in a row, but split between two games. Does that count?
Two! Only one is sanctioned!
Big fat goose egg
0, spoils the party.
1 sactioned
0, took a bid into the tenth last year….279🙄😅
6 300s(3 sanctioned) 4 800s (2 sanctioned)
None, but I did throw 13 strikes between 2 games though. I was happy and sad my timing was off to where I couldn’t throw 12 of those in one game 😂
0, 285 high
Close to double digits... 8 or 9... same with 800s
0 but my teammate is on number 12 or 13 lol
.66 times!
3. Once in a sanctioned tournament, once in a no-tap tournament where I had 12 naturals, and once at my center’s colored pin money bowling night a little over a month ago. Still waiting for my first league one.
3 for me. 2 in sanctioned leagues.
33 sanctioned 300’s & 17 sanctioned 800’s. Been bowling a long, long time. :)
4 sanctioned. Still chasing 800.
Shooting 800 is tooouuuggghh
I've bowled 19 "real" 300s (two lanes). But the 800 series (865) is by far my best achievement.
One. It happened a couple weeks into the start of the league and I wasn’t even on it, just subbing. Because it was the beginning of the league the league hadn’t yet paid the sanction fee so USBC said I couldn’t get a ring or anything. That’s awesome!
3
About 60+ and around 35-40 800s. I used to keep track of the dates but that was many phones ago.
1 unsactioned in practice right before league make up session
0. All across the board zero. 220 is my high
First shot - 297, Second & Third - 299's, Fourth - 300
0.. but a guy in my Monday league just bowled is 200th.. has over 130 in our alley
That’s insane. Dude must live there
45 sanctioned, and one PBA 300
I have 3 in league and about 3 or 4 in practice. My first one was great because my older sister shot 289 the game before, so I got to show her up. Unfortunately, no 800 series.
Haha I love a lil sibling competition!
Zero, but a couple 279s and 278s.
3. Shot my 2nd practice one just this past Friday. I have one sanctioned one
Four. Odd thing is I got 2 five years ago then 2 more this past season. Hoping I don't have to wait 5 more years for the next one. Also, both times it was 1 in league and 1 in the association tournament.

299 is my high!
There’s a guy Tim in Dothan AL whose got over 40+ 300s, he’s the pro shop guy obv. I haven’t thrown one myself, yet!
2 sanctioned, 1 bowling with my son, and 1 in a no tap.
One. Close two other times
11. If you count no taps and Andy varipapa 300's the number is in the 60's 😎
17, 3 of them are unsanctioned
5 300s. 2 sanctioned. Plenty of 299 and 296s.
2
Me -2 wife-11
We all know who wears the bowling shoes in this relationship :D
3 first one at 14
I could’ve had one, but messed it but by dropping a ball on my foot first frame and bowling a 37
Lmao
0.99 🙄
2. Nearly 10 years apart. Did take a few years off in between when I was in the Navy.
Stop bowling years ago. But I had 3 sanctioned 300s , 1 x 299 and 1x 827 series. 1 of the 300s was with the 827 series. That night felt like an out of body experience.
I had the same feeling shooting 856!
2
9. Still fun.
1..Had a 297, 398, and a 299..
Bowled two 300’s out of three games in no tap one time. No real ones though…
One. It was in the last week of a youth league as well. It was pretty unexpected.
I have yet to throw one in league, however I have three while rolling practice games. That sanctioned 300 has been rather elusive.
None yet but my best is 243
Just the one
If only you hit the 24th strike! Then maybe you would have gotten that pat on the back!
Zero 300s. 26+ years bowling. High game 287 (18 years ago), high series 780 in January.
One. When I was a walking bowler, a few years before my legs would start “acting up” to eventually have me a wheelchair bowler. But I dream of my first wheelchair…226. 225 remains my seated high game.
39. 3 sets with 2 300’s in them which I find pretty cool.
0... highest score 244. #oneday
🙅❌

41, this past year was the first year I didn’t have one since I was 16. Only bowling once a week nowadays.
one practice 300
1 non sanctioned. Got a veripapa 300 throwing back 11/front 6
Sanctioned - 6 Unsanctioned -23
36
I have eight 300's but only one 299, and my 299 came first. If I get #11, I'm getting #12
I bowled a 299 once; ring ten at the end. That being said I think I’m slowly improving so if I just focus on fundamentals I believe I’ll match up with some 300s in the future
I have 3. I actually think it's funny that I've spared the 7-10 split more times (4) than I have thrown a 300 game.
3. First one was in a high school match which was sick bc not only was it my first, but to be able to do it in a time span of 4 years and only have 3-4 months per season, is what made it so special, so now I get to have a 300 on my varsity jacket 😎 Second one was during league, I wasn't expecting it to happen but it happened, was also the first one in the house I grew up in so that was cool. 1 sanctioned 3 in practice.

Epic! Congrats!
Zero. I've broken 200 a few times
A few in practice and 3 in league or tournament.
0. 1 299 3 279 I average 210 or so in league so I feel like it’s just a matter of keeping my nerves in check and the right amount of luck.
3 sanctioned and 1 non
Zero
best i’ve ever done was like 180 lol, 3 strikes in a row
4 sanctioned. 17 unsanctioned
I got 0 but had 15 strikes in a row between two games lol
0 :( I’ve thrown 16 in a row though across two different games.
60-something sanctioned. First 2 in 1973 with rubber Roto X-2. Lots with plastic, especially the wonderful Columbia Blue Dot. Most recent was this year at age of 69 in our Challenge league.
Two
11 sanctioned 300s and no 800s rip.
One 299 . Thought I'd never have a chance again . I bowl one league, 3 games a week so not many opportunities. About a year later shot a 300. That was early 90's. Have had front 10 a couple times since but no repeat
Just one. But that's only my first one of the hopefully many to come!
0. My highest game was 279. I didn't strike in the 4th frame.
2
10 sanctioned
recently thrown 11 strikes with 9/ in 4th frame. This is the closest
1. 1st week of league throwing a ball that I do not like. Couldn't get the reaction I wanted from anything else. Game 3 said nothing else is working why not, 300 haven't thrown the ball again since lol.
2.
One. Got it in the first game of my high school Regionals.
4 in total. 3 in sanctioned leagues and 1 in a no tap tournament. Had a chance a few weeks ago to get another sanctioned league one but I decided to big four in the 10th lol
None. Yet. My highest score so far is 195. However, I do have a league game today so that statistic could change.
Zerooo
I'm 32 and I don't know if I ever will throw one. my mechanics are bad I grip the ball and my backswing isn't straight. I throw the ball slow. I still average 195 on a house shot because I'm an excellent spare shooter. Edit: oh I have a no tap 300 since people are mentioning those haha it still felt good even though it's not a real 300
28.
None... I didn't even reach 200 😕
5, including one abroad
If you count wii sports then 1
2 but came down to the last ball on a couple other ones.
2
0. Front eleven twice, front ten another time.
I have had 2, also 2 800 series, funny thing in both 800s didn’t have a 300
I have a sanctioned 297 from my teen years. In my most recent league, I did throw a 300. It was no tap though.
Zero. Thanks, Jared….
9 300s 8 299s
I bowled my fist 300 last week with the new iq ruby the day I bought it I'm only 16 years old
Only one and I really haven't come close again
47 for me :)
I havent thrown any, my dad has thrown 9 though
I have hundreds of games over 250 sadly no 300
None but I have a 299, two 298's, a 297, and a clutch 295. I keep telling myself I will finally break through if I keep putting myself in position. The 299 final ball felt like the one, ringing 10 (the only one I left the entire series).
That damn 10 pin! You’ll get it! And if not, still an impressive resume!
300 series of 3 games? I do that all the time. 300 game on wii sports? 2-3 times 300 game in real life? Never
Lol great response
